Dry Desert Lime

Traditionally harvested and dried in the hot desert sun, this rare Arabian dried lime has been drunk for centuries. It has a distinct, tart citrus flavor and is an oasis of health.

Ingredients: Fair Trade Certified organic dried lime.
Brewing Instructions: Carry fresh water back from the oasis (otherwise, filtered water will do). Bring to a boil and pour over a bag of Dry Desert Lime. Steep 3-4 minutes. For iced tea, steep 2 tea bags, cool and pour over ice.

Let me begin by saying how desperately I wanted to try this tea. I have searched high and low for it in my local shops, but to no avail. When I saw that it went on sale (oh happy, wondrous day!), I eagerly snapped up a box with nearly uncontrollable glee.
However.
The tea I received was the Rooibos Vanilla. Horrible (to me) red tea with an off-putting aftertaste of poorly-laundered clothes and wet dog. I cried, I fumed, I whined! I typed furiously to Amazon and they, very graciously, offered to buy me a new box of the right tea with one (1!) day shipping, and refunded me the money I spent on this horrible swill.

I have yet to enjoy the sweet refreshment of the Dry Desert Lime tea, but thanks to Amazon's amazing customer service, I won't have to wait long to do so.

Abstract Blind : My favorite Tea!

I don't drink tea often, maybe a couple of times every few months or when I am sick. The Dry Dessert Lime has the perfect taste for me. I have even use it on soups. I highly recommend it.

This is one tea I truly regret buying. It smells amazing when you take it out of the bag. But it tastes so sour. I added sugar and it was still not good. I would only recommend this tea if you absolutely love sucking on limes. :)

It is a bitter tea. Which is nice. I add one sugar cube and it takes the edge off.
I just wish I had paid more attention to where the store was. Lol I bought it from half way around the world with out realizing it but that is my own fault. Nicely packed and it got here in great shape and in pretty good timing.

This is the first tea Numi ever offered. It is pretty much the only tea I still buy in bags, i love it so much. Taste is personal however. Expect a simple tea that is paradoxically dry while wet, and tangy. I really feel as if the name says it all.

Dry Desert Lime is an unusual premium Numi tea. It is herbal tea (caffeine-free) containing solely dried lime---that's all---not lime and green/black tea, not artificial lime flavor, but real lime---alone---a truly remarkable feat. It is certified organic, and is kosher. It has the most amazing tart and lovely taste. If you like lime, you'll love this tea. If you don't like lime, definitely pass, as it is a very intense "lime experience". I love it!

If you like Numi teas and enjoy lime, get it---you won't be sorry. If you are new to Numi but love lime, or are curious to try it from the description, I do not think you could find a better source than Numi. In fact, I have never heard of anyone else making this tea. I enjoy serving it to company, but even more, just for me.
