The seller did not mention this warning, which is printed clearly on the package: "Licorice root is not intended for use during pregnancy and while nursing, or if you have heart disease or high blood pressure." Since I have both high blood pressure and mild heart disease, I'm not going to risk drinking this tea, which otherwise sounds lovely. I hope I can find someone to give it to; otherwise 40 tea bags will go into the trash.

You need to enjoy the taste of black licorice to want to try this tea because the name makes many folks reject it.. Once you try it, you'll be a fan. This tea needs no sweetener, I drink it plain and love it! It's my go to drink in the evening, no caffeine but lots of taste. By the way, it doesn't taste strongly of licorice nor is it very spicy.

I think this tea is absolutely delicious!! I don't need any sweetener in it. It's not too licoricey... it's a perfect balance with the star anise, cinnamon, orange, etc. Another review I read said it was mostly cinnamon but I totally disagree. I will buy this tea over and over again! It satisfies my sweet tooth too!

I love a good licorice tea. I had been using a different brand daily for years but they recently changed their flavor and took the licorice out. Picked this up looking for a new daily wake-me-up. If you like licorice, this tea is fantastic! I use one tea bag in a 32 oz mug and it's the perfect strength. Plenty of licorice flavor and the cinnamon and orange add a nice complement.

This is my favorite tea and not always easy to find. It has a weet and mild spicy licorice taste. It is not too strong and perfect for those who like the taste of black licorice. Whenever someone tries it at my home they fall in love.

It took me a while to figure out how to use this. It is a very strong tea. I am a little disappointed that they added so many other ingredients that rather complicate the essence of the licorice flavor. I love licorice but the other flavors seem to detract from that flavor not enhance it. However, when I served it somewhat diluted my guests enjoyed it immensely.

I found that using one bag in a 3 cup teapot was about the right strength. It is wonderful iced! I am not sure why it is better cold than hot. It seemed really refreshing on a very warm day - for Alaska.

It really did get rid of my stomach ache! But then I learned that it's potentially harmful--raising blood pressure and causing further problems. I felt I had no choice but to discard it.
