This Oolong is graded as Superior to Fine. Tie Kuan Yin is another of China’s top ten teas. It's sister tea, Tie Guan Yin, translates as Iron Goddess of Mercy. The tea itself is as grand as its name. Oolong tea is partially or semi-fermented, they have some of the qualities of both Black and Green teas. When Oolong teas are steeped their leaves open to reveal entire leaves!

Answer: I can't taste any metallic flavors in the Tea, I would consider the source, and then validate with a second reliable source.

These leaves are very tightly twisted, and can be steeped three or four times. The quality of leaves is exceptional, but I wonder how many slave farmers it took to pick the leaves coming from the People's Republic of China. I.E. No fair trade Emblem marked on the packaging.

This is very good tea and a whole lot of it. The tin comes with bunch of tiny paper bags filled with tea... each containing enough for a pot of tea. You can get quite a few cups out of each bag.

The tiny bags make good gifts to brighten someone's day as well... they also make it easy to transport tea between locations like work and home.

Thats not the best choich. As noted in the reviews this is not a real Ti Guan Yin. If you look on the leaves they all broken, which is not a good sign either. On the other hand for this precise thats quite understandable.

I did not receive the tea in the Tin as the other reviewer noted but in a resealable bag labeled in Sharpie. It's recommended that loose leave tea is stored in a tin and I did't have one to accommodate 1 Lb. of tea. If I'd known this was sans tin, I would have ordered: . For $7.00 more, I'd have a tin and then could reorder this product to refill. Still excellent Tea, tin or not.

This tea is not even close to a real TiKuan Yin (Tie Guan Yin) tea. Nor to any Oolong tea... This is very basic below average some kind of a black tea. Still drinkable but certainly not enjoyable...

For people who have never tried a real Tie Guan Yin and are not familiar with its taste/aroma then this tea will be quite misleading.

And people who have ever tried a real Tie Guan Yin and looking to buy more - this tea is not a right choice.

Luckily, I live in GTA with a plenty of Chinese stores including a specialty tea shops where you can buy a real stuff. Purchasing this tea on Amazon was a mistake on my side. Please do not make the same mistake.

I had another oolong tea that had such a great flavor, this tasted more like black tea, but it was good. I did receive the tin along with the tea which was a nice surprise. I have prime so everything I order always comes on time and it's free. That I would give 5 stars
