Product Description
Herbal Power: Stimulates the liver and supports healthy digestion.* Taste: Pleasantly roasted with bitter notes. Plant Story: Some think of dandelion as a common weed, but our herbalists know that its bitter taste stimulates digestion and supports your body’s natural detoxification process.* Some of our finest dandelion comes from the sustainably wild-collected meadows of Eastern Europe. It’s the perfect tea for everyday wellness!
From the Manufacturer
Organic Roasted Dandelion Root
- Herbal Power - Gets the juices flowing, gently stimulates the liver, and supports healthy digestion*
- Taste- Pleasantly roasted, sweet and slightly bitter
Reason to Love
Once you’ve brought dandelion into your life, you’ll never look at those “pesky weeds” the same way again. Named “the small postman” in Persian because of the belief that dandelion brings good news, we love how this mildly bitter, roasted root tea helps your body’s natural detoxification process by helping your body break down fats during digestion and carry away waste.*
We've Got the Right Stuff
Bitter is the better way to get your digestive juices flowing, improving your body’s digestive process.* Some of our best and bitter (in a good way) dandelion roots are sustainably harvested from the wild meadows of Poland and Bosnia. Dug up, separated from the stems, leaves and flowers, washed and dried, the roots are then roasted whole before being cut up to be used in this tea.
We raise the bar. The quality standard of the herbs we use is hard to pronounce, difficult to meet, and it's what makes us different, better. Pharmacopoeial: it's the only quality standard our herbalists can rely on when blending teas for your health and wellness.

Questions about Traditional Medicinals Organic Roasted Dandelion Root Herbal Leaf Tea, 16 Tea Bags (Pack of 6)
Q:
is the bark the inner bark, outer bark or a mix? The inner bark is, from what I understand, what contains the healing properties.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: The information on the box is as follows: "Pau d'Arco bark 1500 mg". You would need to contact the company directly to get the exact answer.
Answer: Traditional Medicinal website says that it's made from inner bark
Answer: The box states the "inner bark."
Answer: The outer bark
Q:
Is this only a liver cleanser? Or does it have other benefits?
Answer: Every part of the dandelion has some kind of wellness benefit, but the root is renowned for its ability to help support the liver and digestive system. The root's bitterness helps to stimulate the taste buds, setting off production of digestive juices from saliva to bile. This supports the body's natural detoxification processes and helps the liver to flush wastes.*
Answer: Other benefits as well ,for example it takes extra water from your system
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Dandelion is also supposed to help with your iron levels. That’s why I’m buying it ????
Answer: Yes, besides helping to remove toxins from the body, it also helps keep hot flashes at bay. I usually drink one cup per day.
Answer: It also is great for the kidneys as well removing toxins and removing any stones that may be building up.
Q:
Does this Dandelion tea have CAFFEIN in it? ty
Answer: No caffeine and I’m a coffee convert to this. It’s SO good.
Answer: Dandelion tea sounds lovely but thought this to be a review for Hibiscus tea?!
Answer: Dandelions don't have caffeine in them. :)
Answer: The box indicates it is caffeine free. I am sensitive to caffeine and have noticed no impact.
Answer: No this is naturally caffeine free herbal tea
Answer: No, this is caffeine free. But let me tell you this is a perfect substitute for coffee.
Answer: no and tastes great to me
Q:
where is the tea made in ?
Answer: Reading from the box I currently have it says: ...dandelion roots are sustainably harvested from the wild meadows of Poland and Bosnia. Dug up, separated from the stems, leaves and flowers, washed and dried, the roots are then roasted whole before being cut up to be used in this tea. No definitive answer as to where made, but a little info....hope this helps.
Answer: Made by Traditional Medicinals located at 4515 Ross Road, Sebastopol, CA, USA
Q:
Someone said that this tea has no calories - but it does not say anything about calories on the package. Can the company confirm it has no calories?
Answer: Thanks for your question, Tom. As our products are classified as herbal supplements and not foods, we don't conduct nutritional testing for things like carbohydrates and calories. We can, however, tell you that there should be a very small amount of calories in our teas, if any at all.
Answer: When I emailed and asked because I am on a strict diet due to cardiovascular reasons I was told there are no calories. In the fitness program I use to track my food/liquid intake and exercise it has a built in database that includes calories, sugars, protein, etc and this tea is listed in there with no calories either
Q:
How many packets do i have to drink to reduce the facial hair? As i have finished 20 teabags and didnt get any results so i just wonder ?
Answer: I can't really advise you on this. It would depend on how severe your problem is, what's causing it etc...I don't think 20 teabags is enough to expect results. I drink spearmint tea at least 3-4 times a week, steeping it for 10 minutes before I do. It has helped with reducing facial hair for me but I didn't have a big problem with this. I think the fact that it helps to regulate hormone levels is a plus though, as long as someone is not ignoring a bigger issue that should be discussed with a health care professional. Hope this helps a bit.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: It's suggested you drink two bags a day, for at least five days in a row if testosterone levels are an issue for you. You'd have to be pretty consistent and dedicated in drinking this if you want to reduce your testosterone (and whatever those higher testosterone levels come with, i.e, extra facial hair, acne).
Answer: Two cups per day. You need to drink it consistently for three months before you will start to see improvement.
Answer: It's going to take at least three months before you can expect to see any kind of results; but you have to be drinking it twice a day as well. For some women, it's great. For others, not so much.
Q:
what is the country of origin of this hibiscus tea? Don't answer if you don't know pls :)
Answer: Hi Serendi, some of our favorite hibiscus is organically cultivated on farms in the fertile Nile Valleys of Egypt. We ensure that the farmers receive a fair price for their crops, have safe working conditions and that the hibiscus is grown in an environmentally sustainable way. Thus every flower picked contributes to the enhanced livelihood of these Egyptian farmers. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Q:
Is this hibiscus tea sweet?
Answer: Hi there, our Hibiscus tea does not contain any sweetener, and is tart, tangy, mildly fruity and lemony in flavor. We hope this helps!
Q:
Which reviews are for which tea?! I'd buy many different teas but don't know which review is which tea?!?!
Answer: You're going to have to look through individual reviews to read the comments. They're all jumbled up in the reviews.
Q:
What is the difference between this dandilion tea and the roasted dandilion tea?
Answer: Actually, they both contain the root. This one contains the LEAF and root. Also, the Roasted Dandelion tea contains roasted root. This one is unroasted root.
Answer: Hi there, thanks for your question. Both of these products support healthy digestion. Roasted Dandelion Root contains only the root parts of the plant, and supports the liver. Dandelion Leaf and Root contains both aerial parts and root parts of the plant, none of which are roasted, and supports kidney function. Some people prefer the roasted flavor for their cup of digestive support, and some prefer it un-roasted.
Answer: This one contains the root, which is what you want if you are looking for diuretic properties.
Q:
Are the tea bags individually wrapped in their own packets?
Answer: I purchased the Traditional Medicinals Chamomile & Lavender tea, each teabag is in an individually wrapped packet.
Answer: Yes they are. You just brew your water. Take the tea out of the packet, place in water for a few minutes. Lovely drink.
Answer: Yes. The bags are well sealed.
Answer: The Traditional Medicinals are in their own individual packets.
Answer: Yes they are!
Answer: Yes they are.
Answer: yes they are
Q:
Why is it cheaper to buy the 6 pack ($21) than the 12 pack ($72) something is off there????
Answer: It’s 6 boxes vs 12 boxes. You’re getting double the amount. Must be based on the seller. You could just buy 2 6 packs and get the same amount for $42 :)
Q:
What are the tea bags made of?
Answer: Our Non-GMO tea bags are made from sustainably harvested abacá (Musa textilis), also sometimes known as manila hemp, and wood pulp.
Answer: The box lists that all ingredients are certified organic but it does not specify say what the bags are made of.
Answer: Some type of paper I think. Lke regular tea bags.
Answer: A year or more ago I spent a lot of effort trying to ascertain who had plastic in tea bags. Traditional Medicinals did not at that time. Some flavors had a staple of some metal not magnetic and the string is string not plastic. The paper itself was unbleached paper - if I remember correctly. Anyway if I've misunderstood the question I apologize. My takeaway was and continues to be that the bag will not hurt one's health. The product is still very good quality and taste and the packaging responsible - IMHO.
Answer: Seems like a normal cotton bag
Answer: The info on the box says “organic spearmint leaves”
Q:
how do we know its the inner bark? their extensive detail does not say and the only question asked has conflicting answers.
Answer: Hi there, thank you for your question. Our product specifications are for only dried, inner bark of the Pau d'Arco tree. Our quality standards demand that every ingredient is rigorously tested for identity, strength and purity. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Answer: I suspect is it NOT only inner bark. The web site states, "Only the inner bark is used by traditional healers and modern day herbalists." And again, "Traditional healers have been using the inner bark for hundreds of years." They do NOT state that *they* use only inner bark. The carefully worded statements are always suspicious.
Q:
Where is the raspberry leaf come from?
Answer: Some of our favorite raspberry leaf grows wild and is gathered by hand in the Gorazde collection region of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Answer: I am sorry I bought the Hibiscus Tea.
Q:
It says all ingredients are organic but only names one ingredient. What are all other ingredients in the ginger tea?
Answer: Thanks for your good question. We always list all ingredients on the carton and the product page of our website. Our organic Ginger tea contains only one ingredient, 1500 mg of organic ginger rhizome. If you’d like to learn more about this tea and its benefits, please visit:
Answer: They don’t list any other ingredients, however on the back they say “all ingredients are organic”
Q:
Are the tea bags unbleached? Thanks!
Answer: As far as I can tell, yes. They are a natural off white color. Hope this helps!
Q:
Where is this tea harvested? China?
Answer: It says it is USDA organic certified. And it says it was manufactured in Canada. It doesn't say specifically where it is harvested.
Answer: Says in the description that it is harvested in Bosnia.
Q:
Question for the Manufacturer: From which country is this raspberry leaf teas from /grown?
Answer: We get most of our medicinal raspberry leaves from Bosnia, where they grow wild and are gathered by hand by a group of collector families from the red raspberry bush.
Answer: I did not purchase this tea. I bought the Hibiscus & Hathorne tea & it really does help to lower BP.
Answer: General it’s grows in the wild, google research show that is from Bosnia. It was recommended for post posture recovery , very helpful .
Q:
Hard to find a review about a certain tea! They're all mixed up!?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Have you tried searching the reviews from where you bought the tea? Might help. If not, get you a good book on herbal teas. There you will find much information on most all herbal teas.
Answer: It may serve a purpose the taste is horrible not enjoyable in my opinion

Answer: The box says Sebastopol, CA
Q:
How many tea bags are in the 6 pack?
Answer: Well this picture here is the Roasted Dandelion. I bought the regular dandelion 6 pack. Each box has 16 and 16 times 6 is 96.
Answer: There are 16 bags per box, and six boxes per pack, so 16x6=96 bags total. (you'll go through them faster than you think if you're anything like me and my husband lol!). Great deal and one of my favorite tea brands
Answer: 96 tea bags total
Answer: 16 packs
Answer: 96
Q:
Is the moringa tea gluten free?

Q:
Is the chamomile and lavendar tea a flavor of "nettle tea"?
Answer: Thanks for your question. The ingredients in our organic Chamomile with Lavender tea are chamomile flower, English lavender flower and organic lemon balm leaf. This tea does not contain any nettle or nettle flavors. Alternatively, stinging nettle leaf is the only ingredient in our organic Nettle tea, and this tea does not contain any chamomile or lavender herb or flavors. We hope this helps! Q:
16 counts x 6 packs?
Answer: 16 tea bags in each box/pack of tea. So if you purchase 6 packs then you will have 96 tea bags total
Answer: That's what it looks like. 16 tea bags to a pack/box and this looks like 6 boxes/packs. If that is the case, crazy good price!
Answer: I believe you will recieve 6 boxes with 16 tea bags.
Answer: There are 16 packets @ holding one teabag.
Answer: It's a really good tea with honey
Q:
does anyone know where this pau d'arco is sourced??
Q:
Does adding boiling water to this product destroy all the vitamins and minerals?.
Answer: I am not a nutrition expert but I don't think boiling water can destroy the vitamins and minerals of dandelion root. You cannot not make this tea with just hot water.
Answer: Boil*ING* water should not be used for herbal teas (other than twigs). The water should be boiled, then turned off so it is not bubbling, then poured over the tea to steep.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: I'm not sure about that specifically but any water for tea should not be boiled. The ideal time/temp font tea water is just before it boils. (If you listen to your tea kettle there is a distinctive sound just before the boil starts.) Boiling removes the oxygen from the water and flattens the taste if the tea.
Answer: No. You are supposed to steep it in boiling water just like you would tea leaves.
Answer: I usually make it like I make "Sun Tea"......Put them in cold water in the 2 quart container. Let it sit in a warm place all day and then just keep it in the fridge. If I make it hot I make it in a drip coffee maker, so not sure how that affects it.
Q:
Is there shipping charge for subscribing every 4 months?
Answer: I have no idea ~ I did a one time buy
Q:
Is each individual tea bag sealed separately?
Answer: that's right
Answer: Yes!????
Answer: Yes
Q:
Is this Pau d'Arco tea from the inner or outer bark? Or both?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Pau D'arco tea. It is indeed the inner bark that is collected for us and packaged into the tea bags. The outer bark is removed when the bark is harvested and the quality is checked at at least three different points before the cut inner bark is packaged into tea bags. You can read more about our quality testing process here: http://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/our-process/. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Q:
Is the Rasberry tea taste as good as non-organic brands?
Answer: Hi Karen, thanks for your question! We don't use the berries for this tea, we just use the leaf, which supports healthy menstruation, tones the uterus and may be used for menstrual cramps.* We love this tea for its gently nurturing properties, and its robust taste, which is reminiscent of a delicate and mildly fruity black tea (without the caffeine). We hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Answer: Yes. Even non-organic teas add no sweeteners. So, this organic tea has a great berry taste a well.
Answer: I have not tried the non-organic kind. Raspberry leaf tea doesn't have a raspberry fruit taste though.
Answer: I keep it on hand all the time because I have 4 girls and it really helps period cramps.
Q:
Just making sure I will have 6 boxes/ 16 tea bags per box?
Answer: I ordered the 6 pack of 16 each in a box of the Hawthorn Hibiscus and that is what I got ~~~ It came in a box that contained six individual boxes.......
Answer: yes, six boxes!
Q:
Why the switch from pink to yellow pau d'arco? What is the difference between the two? Do they have the same properties?
Answer: Thanks for your question, Jamie. We have previously offered this product made from the bark of trees in Brazil, and recently changed our source to bark from trees in Peru. The difference is mainly cosmetic, as the essential oils we are looking for are the same, whether the tree blooms in pink or yellow. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Answer: Why the switch from pink to yellow pau d'arco? What is the difference between the two? Do they have the same properties?
Answer: it seems that yellow pau d'arco is not as effective as the previous pau d'arco for candida
Answer: Since the floral scent and flavor in the pink Pau d'Arco is missing in the yellow Peru version rendering it boring, is there hope to again get pink Pau d'Arco from Brazil since it tastes better?
Answer: I have used the pink pau d'arco for decades. Now using the yellow. The taste is different. Will Traditional Medicinals be able to go back to the pink version any time soon?
Q:
How much iron would you say is in a cup of the dandelion tea?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry! There is no significant amount of any vitamins or minerals in our Dandelion Leaf & Root tea. For more information about our teas, please visit http://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Q:
Is there any way that I can buy a pack of six, three organic peppermint and three organic ginger, rather than six of one kind?
Q:
did anybody see less facial hair.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: That would be a lovely side benefit, but I've never seen it. I just drink the Spearmint tea because I like its taste.
Answer: I did not... but the tea is very good
Answer: I believe mine was better the first couple of months when I used it regularly, but then I stopped for a few weeks. When I started back I never felt my results were as good.
Answer: No, but it has cured my nodular cystic acne on my face.
Q:
Did these tea boxes arrived plastic wrapped?
Answer: No, but each paperboard box is sealed shut (similar to a cereal box).
Answer: No. they are seals but they are not covered in plastic
Answer: No, they did not. However, they are in a brown thick cardboard box inside another cardboard box. Hope this helps. Thanks)
Answer: No but it was seal and unopened also the packets are sealed. Also that's how they package it to you if you buy direct from traditional medicine. At Stored as well they package it just the same.
Q:
Is the spearmint black tea?
Answer: Not that I’m aware of.
Q:
Which reviews are for Ginger tea and its benefits?
Answer: I buy this particular ginger tea in bulk (six boxes at once). I brew a cup all morning, add water to fill a tumbler, and drink it with lunch (adding maple or agave syrup as sweetener - when it's warm, I add ice). I also travel with it. I'm not sure if it's benefiting my health, or not. I just know it soothes my stomach and has no stimulating effects. Hot or cold, I trust this product. Hope I'm right. BTW, I think ginger is an acquired taste, and I look forward to its subtle "bite."
Q:
Does each tea bag come pre steeped in hot water? Or do i have to everything myself, like always?
Answer: After you boil your water you just add your tea bag, very tasty as well
Answer: Everything yourself like always ????
Answer: As always it’s is.
Q:
Where is the country of origin?
Answer: Made in the USA
Q:
Is this gluten free?
Answer: Hello, thanks for your inquiry. Traditional Medicinals does not manufacture any teas that contain gluten. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at support@traditionalmedicinals.desk-mail.com or call 1-800-543-4372.
Q:
What is the country of origin for Rosehip and Hibiscus?
Q:
Is it sweet like this ad says? it says it's "mild and sweet" i don't see any stevia or any kind of sweetener in it so it's got to taste bitter
Answer: It is not sweet at all.there isn't any sweetener in this tea. I don't know why the ad would say it has a sweet flavor...it does taste good.
Answer: I have to be honest....it taste very earthy in my opinion. I couldn't get past the first sip without spitting it out. I likened it to dirt flavored water. Sorry... :/
Answer: Which flavor do you want to know about?
Q:
I don't see a link to contact this seller, my tea has not arrived and the tracking does nothing?
Answer: Contact Amazon customer service on their website.. LIVE PERSON. They're great! They'll help.
Q:
why yellow?? is same like the purple pau d arco?
Answer: Thank you for this question! We have previously offered this product made from the bark of trees in Brazil, and recently changed our source to bark from trees in Peru. Product reviews of Traditional Medicinals Organic Roasted Dandelion Root Herbal Leaf Tea, 16 Tea Bags (Pack of 6)
Taco_Cat : Zero Flavor
As a devoted drinker of ginger teas, l've tried many brands. I usually drink Yogi Ginger Tea or Lemon Ginger Tea, but l decided to try the Traditional Medicinals Ginger Tea because it came in a 6-box pack. Boy, was that a mistake. The tea tastes like water. There is absolutely zero ginger flavor or the expected pungent ginger "bite" one would expect from ginger. Additionally, the first two teabags l tried fell apart upon contact with the boiling water, filling the cup with the contents of the tea bag. Don't waste your money on this tasteless sawdust.
Countess : product reviews confusing
Amazon Please stop lumping all tea reviews together I purchased this Turmeric Ginger tea based on the first review titled Miracle tea! I have kidney issues so I purchased this box based on this Miricae review and it turns out the review was not for Tumeric Ginger tea, it was actually for a box of Organic Dandelion Leaf & Root Herbal Leaf tea bags. Amazon please stop lumping all these teas reviews together it's very confusing. The Tumeric Ginger tea was not a bad tasting tea, however, considering the review headlined" Miracle tea" was listed under Tumeric I purchsed the tea when I would have actually purchased the Organic Dandelion leaf & root tea which is specifically for the kidneys.;
The Southern Review : Tastes great and keeps me hydrated during pregnancy
I did my own research on RRL during pregnancy, something I recommend everyone do, and decided to supplement with this tea, starting my first trimester. I am not the best about drinking water, so this has been a great way to stay hydrated. I'm in my third trimester now and I'm hooked on the flavor. Being from the south, I love sweet tea. I make a pitcher of this at a time, sweetening with honey or coconut sugar, and it is my go-to drink. I like to fill a 32 oz Nalgene bottle halfway with the sweet tea and half ice water to take to work.
As to it's effectiveness as a "uterine tonic," I've had occasional mild braxton hicks since about 25 weeks. If I get one that's particularly strong, I take the opportunity to practice my deep breathing and relaxation techniques. I'm hoping the tea, along with eating dates the last 6 weeks of pregnancy, and drinking a dill seed tea after active labor (google it) will help me have a short and positive labor and delivery experience. Even if it doesn't do that, it tastes good and helps me stay hydrated, and it has some good antioxidants and vitamins, so no loss.
**UPDATE** My labor lasted four hours and my baby was born after five pushes, with zero medication. It was painful labor, but overall incredibly fast. I can't be sure it was the tea, or the dates, or the dill, or the combination of all them, but I had an amazing labor and delivery.
Yuki : My favorite go-to tea for inflammation.
The products arrived just as described. This is my go-to tea for inflammation and water weight. When I feel a little bloated, I normally drink this tea and it goes down very quickly. It has earthy tone to the taste and it is not my favorite tea to drink. If you like adding sweetener to your tea, it might be a little more pleasant. With that said, it's definitely tolerable and it kind of grew on me over time. Since the benefits outweighs the taste, I will continue ordering this tea!
FitMommy5 : Fantastic Tea, all around!
I’m using this tea as a birthing preparation aid for my vbac (to help strengthen my uterine muscles). Since I haven’t had the baby yet (so close though), I can’t speak for how well it helps me have a vbac. However, I can say that I definitely enjoy the flavor even without sweetener & I have begun to have good strong contractions that feel like things are moving along. That’s a good thing.
The tea all arrived in great condition, packed in a tight little box. Each box of tea on its own is closed nicely & each tea bag is in its own wrap. I love that the string is long because I steep in a tall quart jar. Some reason can become bitter when over steeped. This one is NOT bitter at all, even after forgetting about it for lengths of time. And it does not have that pesticide rainbow film at the top (which shows me it truly is organic/free of pesticides). Great product!!
Rebecca Kutz : This is a true story- excellent pain reliever
I chose this brand because of its high quality tea and fair trade policy. I had one cup and discovered I don't like the taste. So in my pantry sat 6 boxes of tea.
Then, over a period of a couple months, I started getting unexplained, gradually increasing pain everywhere. It was soft tissue pain, joint pain, foot pain, and swelling in my legs. It was in my arms, my legs, my hands and my feet and my coccyx. And there was no identifiable cause.
I did my best to figure it out and the stuff i did helped: shoe inserts, compression stockings and sleeves, elevating my feet, sitting on pillows while i drove, paying close attention to my sleeping position, guided meditation while I slept, quitting junk food, changing my workouts.
Everything I did helped some of the pain some of the time. Sometimes I was winning, sometimes I was losing. But I was most definitely scared about what was happening to my body because I was always, always hurting. The mornings were the worst, sometimes I'd be near tears from feeling helpless to fix it.
So, I figured I try the ginger tea for its anti inflammatory and circulation boosting properties. Another tool in my anti pain toolbox.
I had started intermittent fasting, so for dinner I had a double strength (2 tea bags) cup of the tea. I didn't like the taste at all, but drank it anyway.
The next day I woke up in less pain. I couldn't be sure if it was a coincidence. But I definitely had decreased pain most of the day.
I drank the tea for dinner again. The next day i definitely had even further reduction of all over pain.
3rd night. Tea for dinner. 3rd morning I woke up to NO pain. I could walk, reach, stretch all without pain. My pain level during the day has gone from a range of 4-8 out of 10, to a range of 0-4, with mostly 2s and 3s!
I 100% believe that combining intermittent fasting with this high quality ginger tea is the reason why I'm finally winning this fight against the pain.
Tonight is night number 4. I just had my tea for dinner.
I feel so much joy and confidence that tomorrow will be a day of low pain, so I'm here to review this product out of gratefulness.
Amazon Customer : Tastes great. I drink this tea once in the morning ...
Tastes great. I drink this tea once in the morning and once at night for my acne. I'm not sure if it was this or a combination of the products I'm using but my face hasn't been this clear since I was in high school. Always comes very quick and packaged very well.
Sunflower : Tasty and Medicinal!
I've been using this to help cure my hormonal acne and it has been working wonders! I've been drinking two cups a day for almost a year and I hardly get more that the occasional stress pimple where I used to have a face full of cystic acne. If I miss a day of tea I am guaranteed to get at least a few zits.
I combine drinking this tea with washing twice a day with Cetaphil Face + Body Gentle Cleanser for All Skin Types, spritzing my face with Heritage Store Rosewater Spray, and using Pond's Correcting Cream Clarant B3 Dark Spot Normal to Oily Skin Lotion. Then at night I spread on a very thin layer of Clean + Clear Persa-Gel 10 on my acne prone spots. Then I vigorously exfoliate my face every other day.
Hope this helps!
Tazzi : A must!
I suffer from food and other allergies and this was recommended. I drink several cups a day, especially after meals. I can breath again! I don't even like tea but now use different Traditional Medicinals for everything from my stomach to battling colds. Highly recommend.
PDW Family : A gem!
I have suffered from Anemia for YEARS. I take an iron supplement twice a day only for my numbers to still be borderline low. In September of 2019, my iron saturation was 11%. Normal is 20-50 percent. After 17 days on this tea, my Iron Sat is 37%. The highest ever! I am beyond grateful and excited to explore even more remedies for optimal heal. Buy this tea!
Summer : Great pain relief.
I drink this tea regularly as a pain management. It really keeps joint pain away. I get immediate results. I first began using this tea from the grocery. Had a bad cold. Drank the tea just for the hot drink. I felt so good, cleared my sinuses, nixed my head and body aches in no time.... I don’t like to be without it. I’ve recommended to friends and family. They all had good results.
Jenna B. : Best tea for acne
I read that for hormonal acne if you drink 3 cups of strongly brewed spearmint tea a day for around 6 weeks it can help.
I've tried 3 different brands of spearmint tea and this one tastes the best. It is pricey, in the store like whole foods you can easily find it for $7 a single box, so I really recommend if you want to try this out order this six pack on amazon
(16 teabags X 6 boxes = 96 bags. 96 bags / 3 per day = 32 day supply of tea. This will last you one month. You need to be consistent to see results)
Also- I recommend signing up for subscribe and save with this item because then you can save 15% off (assuming you order 4 other items monthly) This is the cheapest way to get the best spearmint tea supply that you need. Love that they offer this.
Jacqueline T. : Best detox tea I’ve ever had
I have tried one other well known brand of Pao D’Arco but this one was SO much better. The flavor was very nice. My sister said it made her want to cuddle up and sip on it. She adds honey to Hera and I add agave for sweetness. It has much better detox abilities than the other brand also. I recommend THIS brand of tea over the brand with the black packaging and the Buddha on it. It also has packaging in a box with 6 boxes of 16 packets of tea.
I also suggest that when you do drink this flavor of tea that you be prepared for spending some time in your bathroom.

Debbie Aikin : Highly Recommend
I have been buying this same brand locally for years. For whatever reason my favorite stores were out of stock. Which is a good thing because I was able to purchase this for less. Also, my boxes have a long expiration date (purchased 1/2020, use before date is 9/2022). I will have no problem using all six boxes before it expires.
I have osteoarthritis and have tried about every medication both prescription and OTC. Unfortunately, I have a very sensitive system and had side effects with everything I tried. Two to three cups a day keeps the pain at bay! And the best part, no sude effects.
Warning: this is a stong anti inflammatory and should not be combined certain medications. Consult your doctor first. This is also very good for digestion, dandelion is considered a bitter herb but the roasting actually creates a pleasant taste. It is also a very strong diuretic so I recommend that your last cup should be at least two hours before bedtime.
L. Wilson : Delicious Tea
This is a wonderful tea... excellent. And if I have a cup after lunch/afternoon... then again after 6pm.... I do really sleep better. For me it takes the two servings within those hours for it to work... but it really relaxes/calms me... and in a nice way. The taste is delightful... has a positive enjoyable flavor.... Being the sugar-bug that I am... I have to add a little stevia... haha. But to you 'regular' people, you may not need anything added because of that nice flavor.... there is no edge to it. I like having the 6-pack and because I like this tea a lot... I just keep extra boxes extra wrapped and put away till needed... nice savings.
Amazon Customer : Helpful for hormonal acne sufferers
As someone who deals with hormonal acne and high levels of cortisol/inflammation, I've been looking for natural ways to help regulate my digestive system, calm inflammation in my body, and also reduce cortisol levels/internal stress. Tea has been a great resource.
This tea was recommended by an influencer you also deals with acne issues, but after 6 months of daily use, I can personally say I love it. It's not a miracle drink; you should still limit dairy, sugar, or anything that irritates you; make healthier choices and drink lots of water. But by drinking this every morning at the start of my day, I feel more at ease and have reduced my caffeine intake. I've also seen an improvement in my skin, but I can't attribute it only to this tea as I'm doing a variety of things that contribute to that improvement.
The flavor is not as strong as regular dandelion root tea (so don't worry). But I do recommend keeping a cover over your cup while steeping the full 10-15 minutes. It really makes a huge difference. Also easy to add honey or oat milk to make it more of a tea latte if that's what you want.
This hot drink jumpstarts my day and my internal systems.
C. Luis : Good for someone with PCOS
I am drinking spearmint tea to help me with my PCOS. Spearmint tea is supposed to help lower testosterone levels and help women with PCOS balance their hormones. I know licorice tea is supposed to help too, so I add that into my cup of spearmint tea sometimes. The taste is not too strong, and it also helps me focus and feel calm. This is easy to prepare. I love the individual bags. I just wished it was a cheaper.
melinla : Best ginger tea I've found short of boiling fresh ginger
Best ginger tea I've found short of boiling fresh ginger. I am a ginger fanatic, and will even eat ginger by itself. I can tell you this tastes almost as good as fresh but much less hassle than keeping fresh ginger around! And the bulk pack on Amazon is much more affordable than the market because I drink this almost daily.
I think I'll have to make an iced version for summer! Maybe mix with a bit of honey!

Casey : Every female needs this tea!!
I cannot say enough great things about this raspberry leaf tea. Not only do I really enjoy the taste (very similar to a subtle black tea, but without the caffeine) it has done wonders for my "monthly visitor" issues!! I tell every female I can about this. It took a while, I have been drinking this every day for about 6 months. Each month I notice things are getting better and better. This past month I barely had any cramps at all, but before this tea I used to get very bad cramps for at least 1 full day but usually 2. This past time I didn't even need to take a single ibuprofen which is pretty amazing for me. Also it's much, much lighter. I even noticed a decrease in bloating and crankiness. It doesn't work over night, like I said I have been drinking 1 cup a day for 6 months but it's so worth it!!!!!
Morgan : Sooo glad I drank this religiously while pregnant
So I started taking this months before my due date & increased the amount each day. I was up to 4 glasses a day & I truly believe this is why my labor was so quick & “easy.” I say easy in quotes because i don’t think labor is ever easy but compared to others, apparently mine was easy according to the nurses. I basically had only 2hrs of “active labor” because I got to the hospital around 1:45 & had my baby by 3:20. For me being a first time mom & going that quickly, the Dr. & nurses were in shock. They kept asking me if it was my first & couldn’t believe it. I told them I think it’s becauss I’ve been taking this tea to help prep my body for labor. Im so glad I started this tea when I did because I don’t know what I’d do if my labor was any harder or longer than it was. I just don’t do well with pain & 2 hours was enough for me so I can’t even imagine it being any longer. I don’t think it could hurt to take this & prepare yourself for labor!
Victory Rider : PCOS
I have PCOS and had a horrible scare with IUI a year and a half ago. We decided to stop trying to have a baby because the amount of money and synthetic hormones we were dumping into doctors each month and I didn't feel right putting all that into my body. I have finally felt like we could give it one last try before we say it's our fate to not have children.
I was recommended a few products by a friend a couple years ago, (unfortunately I brushed her advice off because I was in the depression stages of being diagnosed with PCOS) I did however retain the information as to what particular concoction to use (I use Maca, Evening Primrose, Chasteberry, Organic Prenatals, and Raspberry Leaf Tea) I take everything with my morning breakfast and have been for a full 2 weeks now. I have not noticed too much of a change, generally my mood is quite a bit better and my libido right off the bat had boosted (Hubby found that the best part lol). I haven't had a period in over a year since we do not do the pills and injections anymore. I haven't missed it and I know that's one of the main factors in PCOS is irregular or non existent cycles. I am writing this review earlier that I planned because yesterday I started cramping and spotting and today came menses. I rarely write reviews so I did want to get on here and say that thanks to my friend years ago and my memory of what I needed to get I actually finally feel like I do have some hope to getting my hormones balanced out enough to possibly get pregnant.
I have the worst habit of spending so much time reading review and when I see the ones that say "oh we got pregnant right away" I'm sitting there thinking yeah right. I am very skeptic of the miracle cure for infertility. I also know that with PCOS when one thing works for one couple, that it may not work with another couple. I am not sitting here saying that I believe we will get pregnant next month by any means. I do however feel that this concoction of pills and tea that I'm taking has definitely started something in my body to balance out my hormones. Please feel free to ask questions I will try to answer any I can. I will also update this review after a few months whether that be positive or negative. I was not paid to get "free or discounted products" and I myself skip over those reviews because I see most of them copy and paste the description of the product.
Crimsoncascade : Weak Because Not Enough in Bag
Raspberry leaf tea is one of my favorites. I usually buy in bulk, but thought I would purchase in bags from one of my favorite tea companies, Traditional Medicinals. Unfortunately, the amount in the bag is not enough, so the tea is weak. I will go back to purchasing from Frontier in bulk, so I can control the strength without feeling I have to use two bags per cup.
reviews&comments347 : Helps Me Relax and Sleep!
EXCELLENT TEA!! Helps with hyperthyroidism, tension, insomnia, anxiety or over all restlessness. For those with severe restlessness add two bags and a chamomile tea bag or one Lemon Balm tea bag and one chamomile tea bag...helps me, perhaps it will help you too.
Katie O : Raspberry Leaf Tea
I was on the hunt for a bagged Organic Raspberry Leaf Tea to drink during pregnancy at the suggestion of my midwife. I found Traditional Medicinals and started drinking it at about 12 weeks into my pregnancy. While it isn't my favorite flavor of tea, it was super simple to make and drink daily. There's no way to tell what my birth would have been like without drinking this, but I do think that drinking the tea (along with eating a high protein diet and dates after 36 weeks) had an impact on keeping my membranes intact until pushing and the efficient delivery of my 9lb 10oz daughter. If we had another, I would definitely incorporate this into my routine again!
MMQ : Calms the bloat
Been suffering with stomach problems for over a year now. Gastritis, IBS, gerd. One of my major symptoms is excessive bloating. After doing extensive research I stumbled upon what someone mentioned that fennel tea was good for it. I’ve used this companies other teas like throat coat and turmeric which both tasted good and served their purpose well. This fennel tea is good as well. It calms my stomach and eases the bloaty feeling very well. I highly recommend this tea to anyone suffering from gassy, bloaty problems with their stomach.
GForce : Excellent antifungal digestive support
Thank goodness for this product - love both the company and the product. This is a key part of my antifungal regimen to keep Candida Albicans knocked down to a more balanced level in the gut. Taste is just so so, don't love it or hate it, but it's pleasant enough to where it's my few cups a day regular tea for now (I reuse the bag for day so it's not crazy strong or anything). I noticed my belly literally shrink down two inches once I started back on this tea (and did a few other minor diet tweaks).
J. Solomon : Worth a try
I did a forty day trial to see if this helped me with PCOS symptoms. I wasn’t going to keep taking it because I didn’t notice a huge difference. A week after stopping though I started getting headaches, hair and had an acne breakout at the wrong time of month. I found it a little cheaper online and ordered more. It’s a little challenging drinking two cups a day, but now I see it was actually making a difference.
Michael T. Miller : Naturopaths and Iranians know this can lower blood pressure...
Drinking this for moderately high blood pressure. After 3 months drinking 2 cups a day my blood pressure has dropped 10-15 points. Even got a few readings at night of 105/68 lower than I've ever seen. this tea has been used in Iran for centuries to lower blood pressure. Much better than drugs and tastes good as well.
Velwood : I think it works for me, but I can't stand the taste
This has made a positive impact on my mood/stress tolerance, and blood pressure from what I can tell. If that changes I will be sure to update this, as that is the main reason for purchasing it. Unfortunately, it is really hard to get down. I eat an enormous variety of foods and am the least picky eater I know, but this tea is so unpalatable that I have to doctor it up with intensely flavored fruit and sweeteners just to get it down. Maybe you'll be different. It might be important to note that one of the few foods that I really can't stand is cilantro, so perhaps that has something to do with it?

RN MJ : Beautiful, delicious, best herbal tea in a bag!
OMG I can't get enough of this stuff! Tired of always searching for this at nice grocery stores (they never have it at more generic supermarkets), I finally got this 6-pack. This is the stuff you gift to your loved ones. It's soothing, relaxing, and hello, like it says, it's organic chamomile with lavender herbal tea.
This brand does not mess around; it's USDA organic, Fair Trade certified, and NON GMO Project verified. Be careful for it's other famous tea, Traditional Medicinals Organic Smooth Move--even though it uses the "highest quality pharmacopoeial grade herbs," it contains senna, a dangerous (when abused) herbal laxative. Smooth Move is great for short term, but not to be abused/used long term.
This delicious cup of sleepy time tea is super safe with organic chamomile flower, organic english lavender flower, and organic lemon balm leaf (but doesn't taste like lemon). It smells and tastes like a creamy, delicate chamomile enveloped in a gentle lavender haze. This is my all time favorite caffeine free herbal tea bag; its right beside my seasonal Trader Joe's peppermint Candy Cane Green Tea.
Cottonmouth : ... apigenin ...
9,900+ positive reviews for this wonderful tea, and not one of them mentions apigenin and believe me - chamomile tea is LOADED with it.
I searched on two terms; "apigenin" and "cancer"
What follows are only TWO of the 787,000 hits.
"Compound in Mediterranean diet makes cancer cells mortal"
Source: ScienceDaily.com
Here's an excerpt: "New research suggests that apigenin - abundant in the Mediterranean diet - takes away cancer cells' superpower to escape death."
"Apigenin in cancer therapy: anti-cancer effects and mechanisms of action"
Source: NCBI (also known as PubMed)
Here's an excerpt: "Apigenin, known chemically as 4′,5,7-trihydroxyflavone, belongs to the flavone subclass and is abundant in vegetables, fruits and beverages, such as parsley, grapes, apples, chamomile tea and red wine."
And YOU are most welcome!
TWest : Bad Batch of Tea in New Box???
Just returned my favorite Roasted Dandelion Root tea. It appears Traditional Medicinals has changed their packaging AND product. My last order Oct. 18 came in the new box and the product was totally tasteless, like drinking dirt and water, all (6) boxes. It was not the tea I have been drinking for a year now. I hope this was just a bad batch and they get it right soon!
**UPDATE** Ordered more of this item from Swanson Vitamins hoping to get product from a different lot/batch and I did. This was the same tea I have grown to love.

QuantumUSA : Urticaria Rashes
I bought this "Nettle" try to cure my Urticaria Rashes, because Nettle is a Chinese medicine for curing Urticaria Rashes.
I used 5 bags of "Nettle tea" per day for over 3 weeks ! And it does nothing to cure it !
I finally went to hospital get some Prednisone pills so those crazy itches gone temporarily. Then I found out Sleeping Pills I took daily is DIPHENHYDRAMINE HCI, which will cause Urticaria Rashes I have to stop using those sleeping pills and do more exercises to sleep. When I stopped using DIPHENHYDRAMINE HCI those Urticaria Rashes never come back again.
Those "Nettle Tea" has very little tea taste almost like water. Not sure they are real "Nettle".
Victoria Culotta : When you have blood pressure, stomach problem, cold hand and feet this is for you
I watched Korean tv YouTube video. South Korean doctor said that if someone have stomach problem it will get into blood pressure and cold hand and feet. He was recommended that take carrot, fennel, Apple. So I found fennel tea and ordered Apple tea but couldn't find carrot tea. I hope your company can bring together carrot, Apple, fennel in one bag.
I feel my stomach is calm and I am calm and smile. Really works for stomach healthy.
m : Awesome for hormonal acne
I buy this in the six-pack because I go through it.
Honestly, I don't especially love the taste, but you do get used to it. Like many of the other reviewers here, I drink this because I have (had, thanks to this tea!!) gross hormonal acne that popped up along my jawline and the sides of my chin. (Unlike many reviewers, I'm female but I don't have PCOS, just terrible skin.) I had read somewhere that people take spironolactone for this type of acne, and had resigned myself to waiting until my insurance plan year was up so that I could go see a dermatologist, then I read on SkincareAddiction that people sometimes use spearmint for the same! Apparently it binds off with the excess androgen. For this reason, I wholeheartedly recommend this to women but I'm not sure what would happen to men if they took it, since androgen is a male hormone....
I found this product first in a local natural foods store and dove in, starting with two cups a day and tracking the number of blemishes in that area. (I am neurotic.) The first day, I had 27 blemishes. The tenth day, I had five. By then end of the first month, I had no blemishes along my jawline--at that point, as much for expense as for anything else, I scaled down to one cup a day and found that was effective for maintaining my new clear skin. I've been at this for about six months now, I'm finally eligible to go to the dermatologist and I won't bother now. Incidentally, I didn't find that it had much effect on the rest of my face--other than this hormonal stuff, I break out when I deserve to (falling asleep with makeup on, a weekend of crappy eating) and the spearmint didn't effect that either positively or negatively.
I buy this in the six-pack online because it's quite difficult to find in stores! The first box that I bought was the only such box in that health food store, and I had to supplement with Bigelow's Mint Medley, which was a mix of different mints, and as far as I can tell only the spearmint has this effect. I saw faster improvements when I was drinking the pure spearmint.
Jayne LaFavor : good product
This has helped me with my high liver count. Plus, I love the earthy taste. I stopped my one cup of coffee in the am for this. The big plus is I really enjoy the taste and no longer use creamer or sugar like I used to with coffee. I also drink one cup before bedtime. Very soothing as it is related to the chamomile.
no one : Traditional Medicinal Teas
Thus far, on my quest for holistic and alternative medicine (the ones prescribed by Doctors have done me more harm than good!). Traditional Medicinal Teas are the best teas out there-- They are the only ones I've found who actually have Hibiscus (for Hypertension! ) Tea-- and yes, it works.
Natural is best. I no longer trust the FDA; or the myriad of Medications prescribed by Doctors. Am a Retired Registered Nurse-- Medicare needs to go ALTERNATIVE! With all the class act suits out there against so many Medications that Big Pharm, and Doctors are getting kick backs for pushing on you (yes, they do get $ for giving you these poisons that the FDA approved, only to find that they cause Cancer and everything else under the sun)
I trust Natural Remedies, and Traditional Medicinals Hibiscus has helped with my hypertension-- their Licorice Teas are excellent remedies for Ulcers also! My doctor was surprised when I told him the soothing effect of Licorice tea-- he said "We used to tell people to drink Licorice Tea (before the PPI- ie: Zantac etc) to cure Ulcers"! Cardiologists (who are not on the take from Big Pharm) highly recommend Hibiscus Tea for Hypertension also-- it's helps me! Thank you Traditional Medicinals!
Mark Davis : Very Diuretic
If you want to get rid of water weight, this is a winner for sure! Never enjoyed the taste of Dandelion root but it does work very well for the liver. I also find myself making alot more visit to the bathroom. Stay hydrated while drinking this tea.
Karen Hill : not the same tea
Apparently a different version, has green symbol on front and on the tea bags. Tastes disgusting, like burned Echinacea tea. Unfortunately past the return date by the time I realized it, so a waste of $25. Another thing I can't buy online. Exp JUN2022.
Luv2Shop2Much : It really works!
I purchased this to see if it would work for my hormonal acne and it actually worked! It look 2-3 weeks to really start working, but I kept it up and after a month drinking it my face is so clear! I drink a strong cup (2 bags) every night. I can’t believe spearmint tea is such a game changer. So glad I tried it!
wordscapes : Great buy for the money - didn't help BP
I'm using to lower blood pressure.. Two weeks into this not much difference but will keep using as reviews for that were good. Good price, tastes great. If it works to lower BP will repurchase. Update: after one month of 20 oz. per day no change in BP at all.
JC Lach : I love this tea
This is my favorite dandelion tea. I like the “leaf and root” better than “roasted root,” even though I use them pretty interchangeably. In my opinion, the “leaf and root” has a lighter flavor versus the earthier flavor of “roasted root.” I find this tea to be helpful if I feel bloated or like I’m retaining water. But, frankly, I just like the simple flavor, so I drink it at any time.
Kathy M, Texas : My Natural antibiotic with no side effects!
Love this tea Yellow Pau d’ Arco....A Natural Antibiotic! I have been using this tea for years! No side effects to report! I use two tea bags a day for 10 Days then I will wait 2 weeks and start again if necessary. Usually after the first couple a days of taking the tea I will feel better. If you have cold symptoms or you feel that you might have a stomach bug or an infection anywhere in your body this tea will help aid your illness. Have a healthy day!
This was the same tea I have grown to love.
nanna : Works well for me
I read the good and bad reviews, and I must say after dealing with fatty liver disease and trying everything to get the blotted belly down was a failure! I can report that I can now see all of my feet from a standing point, I am amazed!!
you can compare the product price from Costco, wayfair, bestbuy, lowes, target, homedepot, Walmart, ebay, amazon to find the best price for you
