Is it possible for this or other decaf teas to be a cause of constipation?

Answer: I am a long time tea drinker, both herbal and regular tea. I find everything in balance and listen to my own body to find that balance. I only drink Yogi ginger and lemon to relieve gas and indigestion. One cup usually does it. I drink usually at night be fore bed. I have never had a problem with tea causing a nstipation. But I eat a healthy diet with a lot of veggies, whole grains, legumes, which are all high in fiber. I also use a daily intake of extra virgin olive oil on my food. No constipation for me !

Answer: It can be possible, minimize your intake but the benefits of ginger are great. I still love this tea.

I hate licorice. Is the taste of licorice very strong in this tea?

Answer: Something in the tea (earthy) tastes strong to me and I think it is causing a burning flushing in my face that is quite lasting. I prefer Stash brand lemon ginger tea.

Answer: I hate licorice too but I love this tea. It adds a little earthiness to the flavor so the lemon and ginger combo isn't quite as biting but it doesn't taste like black licorice or Jaegermeister, if that's what you're worried about.

Answer: I don't taste licorice and like this better than the plain ginger tea.

Answer: No. I wasn't even aware that it contained licorice but I just read the contents on my packet, and indeed it's there, 5th in the list of ingredients. To me it tastes lemony and gingery only, and I drink it every night to ease heartburn. The longer it steeps, the more ginger one tastes.

Answer: Not sure since I buy this tea for my sister's on Canada, however most yes (herbal or otherwise) have fairly extensive expiration dates. Most of the team I drink can be kept for well over a year.

Answer: I've never looked at the expiration date on a box of tea. The brewed material is dried, and the wrapping of each bag ensures any flavored oils will be preserved. I've used Yogi tea bags years after I've bought them and they've been delicious.

However, I can tell you that I've bought Yogi teas MANY times through Amazon (including Subscribe and Save) and I've never had a problem with them being expired, or being near expiration. I compared the ingredients on both the old and new boxes and they are identical, so I really can't say what the change is attributable to. This is really unfortunate-- what was once a great product is not so much anymore. I may try the plain ginger or the ginger mango to see if they are any better and will also write to the company. Such a shame!

Trying to improve my diet and minimize my caffeinated beverage repertoire. It's a little to spicy for me when I mix it with one cup of water, but, I mix it with two-and-a-half cups and agave nectar and flavored creamer. I seem to be sleeping better.
