Questions about Heather's Tummy Teas Organic Peppermint Tea for IBS, 36 Jumbo Teabags
Q:
Which is better peppermint or fennel? Which gets better results?
Answer: Hi - peppermint is best for pain, spasms, cramps. It's a smooth muscle relaxant and pain killer. Fennel is best for bloating and gas. It's a bit of an antispasmodic, but mostly a carminative. Both teas will cross over for most IBS symptoms, and if you are prone to heartburn you might have trouble with mints, in which case stick to fennel. You can also brew both teas together in the same cup for all benefits.
Answer: Never tried fennel but was happy with the results of peppermint.
Answer: Peppermint tea work well for me in general. Fennel tea is good for gas.
Answer: I drink both kinds of tea and am happy with either one! I do tend to drink the peppermint more, as I suffer with IBS and it does seem to calm my tummy down.
Answer: Peppermint for the tummy definately.
Q:
What does the tea bag look like? Does it have a string and a tag?
Answer: Heather's tea bags look like regular tea bags without the string and the tag. They are chlorine-free.
Q:
The description says this is kosher certified. Who is the certifying agency?
Answer: Hello - right now our teas are certified by two kosher agencies: CRC (Chicago Rabbinical Council) and the Va'ad HaRabanim of Greater Seattle. We are transitioning from Va'ad to CRC and during the transition we are under certification by both agencies.
Answer: It doesn't say. You could ask Heather herself. I find her very engaged in the products she sells, and what people have to say about them.
Q:
What are the tea bags made out of? Any corn products or hemp or chlorine treated?
Answer: Hello - The teabags are paper, and contain no corn, or hemp, and the paper is oxygen bleached without chlorine at all. This teabag paper is specifically for use with organic certified teas, and is sourced from teabag paper mills in the United Kingdom.
Answer: Hello - as of Spring 2018 these are pyramid tea bags made with chlorine free biodegradable plant fiber tea bag mesh suitable for use with certified organic, non GMO herbs and teas. The new bags are gorgeous, the same amount of tea as always per bag, and the same number of teabags per can.
Q:
Decaf I assume??
Answer: yes this is decaf great product recomend
Answer: Yes, this is just peppermint, which is an herb, and herbal teas are caffeine free! And - I don’t buy it because I have digestive issues, I just love peppermint tea - and this is by FAR the most delicious peppermint tea I’ve ever had. I drink almost a liter of it every day... a customer for life!
Answer: Hello - yes, peppermint is inherently caffeine free.
Answer: Yes. Naturally caffeine free.
Answer: Yes there is no caffeine.
Q:
How can you get the tea bag to stay immersed in the hot water? It keeps popping up to the surface like a pillow.
Answer: Hi - it's just air making it float, as it brews in the cup for several minutes the air will dissipate and the tea bag will sink. It will brew regardless. You do want to brew the tea for at least 5-10 minutes, or just leave the bag in the cup the whole time you are drinking it. The longer it brews, the stronger it will be, and the more effective.

Answer: If you gently squeeze it against the side of the cup/pot with a spoon for a couple of seconds this should displace the air pockets with water and allow the bag to sink. Hope this helps.

Is the only ingredient pepermint or have you added anything else?
Answer: Hello - yes, the only ingredient is pure organic peppermint leaf. Best,
Answer: Heather's Organic Peppermint Tummy Tea Bags have organic peppermint leaf (Mentha piperita) in the ingredients. Contains no gluten, caffeine and chlorine-free tea bag paper.
Answer: the only ingredient is peppermint
Answer: The only ingredient is organic peppermint leaf.
Q:
Is this the strongest peppermint tea? I'm looking for a mint tea with a strong lingering cooling effect.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: This would be the one for you. It's stronger than any other peppermint tea I've tried. It tastes like peppermint, not like tea, if that makes sense.
Answer: Yes, this is a large bag. Eight oz of very hot water and a good soak this will bite your face. It is more medicinal so intended to be strong. I brew a little weaker, more water, with honey and cream... yum.
Answer: Strongest I’ve ever had. I’ve tried several brands- I love this stuff- got it on subscribe and save ???? I don’t have ibs so I can’t comment with regards to that aspect. Yes- it lingers longer than any brand I’ve tried- can’t be without it now.
Answer: Yes it is....the longer you leave teabag in the stronger....I add a Fennel bag along with it...some honey ...it is delicious & so fresh
Q:
are the paper bags used organic also and free of chemicals?
Answer: Hello - the tea bag paper used is approved for use with certified organic herbs/teas, and registered in our compliance plan with QAI (the third party, independent agency that verifies our USDA and EU/Canada organic compliance. This requires annual inspections, tracebacks, verified origins for all raw materials and packaging, etc. The paper itself is chlorine-free.
Answer: Contains No: Gluten, caffeine. Chlorine-free tea bag paper.
Answer: This answer is located in the q&a for the product
Q:
Why is this labeled as “intended to be used under physician supervision”?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: If you are taking medications for anything that doesn’t interact with peppermint oil well. Ask your physician
Answer: I have no idea why it states that. I never talked to my doctor about it. I just drink 2 cups a day and take the peppermint oil capsules before a meal I know might upset my stomach. So far it seems to be keeping things under control. Sorry I couldn't answer your question.
Q:
Is there any caffeine in these?
Answer: I don't think there is caffeine in these tummy teas. I use this tea for when I have a flare-up of my IBS and it always helps me.
Answer: There is no caffeine in any of Heather's Tummy Teas. I love the Peppermint Tea! It really soothes my digestive tract.
Answer: Hello - nope! Peppermint tea is inherently caffeine free.
Answer: No. It is pure organic peppermint leaf, naturally caffeine free.
Answer: No, they are caffeine free.
Answer: It is clearly stated in the ad !
Answer: I was sure there was non!!
Q:
What is the difference b/w Jumbo and normal tea bags? Is it just bigger? And so will I still use one jumbo tea bag per serving?
Answer: My wife uses the teas to help calm down the symtoms of IBS. She is able to use one of the tea bags several times. Just allow the bag to steep for several minutes each time. As time goes on you will notice when the mint or other herb is diminishing in strength. She can usually get three to five cups from a single tea bag.
Answer: Yes the jumbo tea bag is larger than a normal tea bag. I brew a bought of tea with one. You can also reuse the bag for several cups of tea as suggested by previous posts. I recommend this product highly both for its taste and its effectiveness.
Answer: In comparison to other brand teabags, there's are at least 3 times larger. I have made multi cups of hot tea using one tea bag (same if you want to do iced tea).
Q:
I see some have an issue with the taste, as I may have - can you add lemon and honey to it and get the same results?
Answer: Yes, you can add lemon and honey to it. The reason it works so well is because of the high volatile oil content. Just make sure to let it steep for 5-10 minutes before adding anything.
Answer: My husband drink that tea for his stomach and he add honey to it I never heard you say anything to me about the taste
Answer: Yes absolutely. And the taste is wonderful, it's just a strong and good quality mint tea. So you can steer for less time if you wish, and given that the size of the bag is at least three times the size of a regular tea bag, you can use it 2 or 3 times if you wish. I usually use it once for a small pot and drink it strong. I love the taste with a bit of honey. And it feels so good for you. A great product!
Answer: I suffer from IBS-D and the mint tea is especially helpful to calm my stomach. I also like the taste very much. I have stopped drinking coffee and have come to enjoy my peppermint tea instead. I do put a spoonful of sugar in every cup, but I also used to put sugar in my coffee...so it's just a habit with me. I think you will enjoy Heather's strong mint tea if you liked your tea or coffee rather strong.
Answer: I actually liked the taste. I don't believe adding lemon and honey would effect results.
Answer: I have also added lemon to this product and achieved the same positive results. As for the honey I don't think it would alter the results either.
Q:
If I were to choose either this or the capsules, which should I go with?
Answer: Hi - the tea is best for fast help, when you have pain/spasms/cramps and you need help NOW. The peppermint oil capsules are stronger but must be used as a preventative on an empty stomach. The teas work faster and are are more flexible - full or empty stomach, doesn't matter.
Answer: It's what ever your preference, the pills are easyer. Tea is if u like drinking tea. I hope this helps! I have used both!????
Answer: The tea.... so soothing & delicious....I mix in a fennel tea bag also..
Answer: The tea works great for stomach issues. Both help but I like yea better
Q:
Are the teabags individually wrapped?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: yep! and they are massive. :) much bigger than standard brands.
Answer: Nope, they're unwrapped all together in the tin.
Answer: yes
Answer: Yes
Q:
how long do you have to wait for the effects to kick in?
Answer: Not sure what specific effects you are referring to, but it can have a calming effect on digestion very quickly. Over time, I believe it offers many benefits.
Answer: This is high quality tea once it get into hot water and steeps a little its awesome! Its great especially when you're having stomach problems. I sent a can to my Mom who's 93 and she loved it!
Answer: I steep the tea for at least five minutes and sip it slowly. It usually calms my IBS symptoms fairly quickly.
Answer: I have only had the tea for a week or so... Symptoms seem a little better. Tea is really delish and very soothing...,
Q:
Can you combine with green tea? Thanks.
Answer: Hi - yes, you can combine this with any other tea you wish. For the best benefits brew the peppermint as strong as you can.
Answer: Yes for sure....I combine with fennel tea too
Answer: Yes I don’t see why not, it tastes good alone and with other tea.
Q:
Hi, does this tea help people with bloating and constipation? it seems all the reviews are for people with ibs- diahhrea — thanks
Answer: For me personally: it helps with both bloating and D. Especially helps when I get that gurgling thing going on because I've eaten something I shouldn't have OR because I've eaten too much. Def. helps bloating. Not sure about constipation. I haven't used it for that. I take magnesium supp at night for constipation.
Q:
What sort of bags is the tea in? As in, is the paper chemical-free (chlorine and other chemicals). This is very important to me, health-wise.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: The bags are in special paper chemical free we have been using this tea for years. My Mom loves it and she's 94 years old.
Q:
Does this become less effective if I brew in more then 8oz of water?
Answer: Nooooo.... this makes a very potent 8oz. cup. This is a medicinal tea and much stronger than the average mint tea. You may likely find that you will find the 8 oz a bit too strong as a rule and prefer 10-12 easily.
Answer: I think effectiveness Is more based on the individual. Sometimes it helps me sometimes I don't notice anything. I drink it everyday and I use a huge oversized mug. The tea bags are huge. I usually drink and refill with same tea bag. 2nd mug is weaker but it is at least a 12oz mug.
Answer: Not for me personally. I find the taste of peppermint overpowering at times, so I'll steep this a little weaker (as you're suggesting) and it still has a positive effect on my tummy. ;-) .
Q:
Can I drink if I don't have IBS?
Answer: Absolutely. I don't have IBS but the tea is very good for digestion as it's a high quality mint tea. And it tastes amazing. It's become my favorite and one bag can be used several times or used to make a whole pot.
Answer: Yes, it is just a very soothing tea to the stomach ,very tasty
Answer: Certainly you can. It won't hurt you. It helps with everything that any fiber does.
Answer: why not, it taste good
Q:
Is the peppermint taste pretty intense?
Answer: It depends on how long you leave it to steep. I use one bag twice/day. In the morning, I leave it to steep for about 6-7 minutes. In the evening, I leave it in for about 8 minutes. I don't care for an intense peppermint taste. I was never a tea drinker until I started using Heather's. I love the peace and calm it gives.
Answer: I think so., but not Altoid intense. I just think it is stronger than other peppermint teas I have had, such as Celestial Seasonings.
Answer: I love the taste but one bag is too big for just one regular cup. Normally I use one bag for 2-3 cups (24oz)
Answer: It depends on how strong you like it. One tea bag is moderately strong, because of the high volatile peppermint in the tea bags. If you want it stronger (like me) use two tea bags. I wouldn’t overdo it just in case you get heartburn.
Answer: It is strong if you let it steep;I just dunk it in and out,for desired strength, and love it! It is a large tea Bag..It can make a pot of tea for about 6 Cups of tea.The taste is delicious .
Answer: Yes, but you can make it more mild or strong depending on how long you steep it. Longer (the way I do it)=strong.
Q:
Are these tea bags compostable? Nowhere on the container does it say what the bags are made from.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: I do not know. All I can say is that this tea bag makes many cups of tea, 10 + and is absolutely the best pepermint tea I have ever purchased!
Answer: Since there is no info. Regarding what they’re made of, I wouldn’t take the chance. I doubt their rate of decomposition (compared to much of what is usually added to compost) is slow and would leave you with good compost filled with little white bags.
Answer: They feel like a silky fabric bag. I suspect not compostable. I would email Heather's directly.
Q:
How can you get the tea bag to stay immersed in the hot water? It keeps popping up to the surface like a pillow.

Q:
Anybody else notice these lose their potency over time? Mine worked great at first, but after siting on the shelf a couple months, not so potent.
Answer: Hi Carlton - the teas should stay very potent for at least several months after opening, as long as you keep the canister airtight with the inner plastic plug, and keep the can in a cool dry place away from heat and light. All herbs are quite perishable when exposed to heat, light, or air - the volatile oils will dissipate under those conditions. It's the volatile oils that make the teas effective, as well as providing the taste, smell, etc. The more you can protect the volatile oils, the longer the teas will stay fresh and potent.
Q:
I tried one cup and although delicious had loud gurgling/pressure. I had not had this prior. It went away after but curious if normal?
Answer: I'm not entirely sure. I've never had pressure while drinking the tea but have had gurgling sounds because of all the gas in my stomach and peppermint helps lessen that.
Answer: If you have IBS, I’m sure it is normal. It is normal for me.
Answer: "NORMAL" is a setting on your dryer.
Answer: I have taken Heather's tummy teas for years now and it has never failed to help me feel better. Could the tea be too hot? Just wondering.... I would try it again, as it is possible that this was a one-time occurrence.
Answer: I didn't have that reaction to the peppermint tea. It doesn't bother me at all. Doesn't seem to help much either but at least no bad side effects!
Answer: I wish I could tell you that is ok. But I have never had that. I love that tea and have never had any problems from it
Q:
how does the peppermint tea differ from fiber acacia tea? Are both of them used to diminish IBS symptoms
Answer: Hello- Yes, they both are for the management of different IBS symptoms. The Acacia Tummy Fiber, when taken daily, stabilizes bowel motility, prevents spasms, and reduces bloating. The Peppermint Tummy Tea provides immediate relief to the bowel and soothes away pain and cramping.
Answer: I do know that my wife has IBS and we both use it absolutely amazing!! I sent it to my Mom who is over 90 years old she loves it. I use it especially when I have stomach problems. This is a High Quality Peppermint Tea the real deal!
Q:
how many cups can be brewed with each jumbo tea bag?
Answer: Hi -the tea bags are meant to make one large, very strong cup. If you're feeling touchy make the tea as strong as possible - the stronger it is, the more effective for IBS symptoms. If you're feeling stable, you can probably get at least two cups out each tea bag, but the tea won't be as strong. You can key the strength to how you are feeling, and also control it by using more tea, less water, longer brewing times.
Answer: Well, the stronger the better for your stomach. I usually use one or two tea bags for one cup. But I think one tea bag Could make maybe three cups.
Answer: One tea bag lasts me about three, eight ounce cups. I drink 4-6 cups a day, and so one package lasts about a month for me. Hope that helps. I guess it just really varies person to person.
Answer: Two cups can be brewed with each teabag.
Answer: I have done 2 cups, but I usually use 1 bag for 1 cup of tea as I want the full strength consistently.
Answer: One cup....The whole idea is to have a very strong cup of peppermint tea. It does help IBS.
Answer: I get two cup or more out of the peppermint tea.My grandson loves it strong so he make one cup out of it
Answer: I can get 3 cups out of 1 bag.
Q:
How does using this tea differ from putting pure peppermint oil in some hot water? I have a bottle of peppermint oil which would be much cheaper than these bags.
Answer: I do not think peppermint oil has the same benefits as peppermint tea but I have never researched it nor have I tried it. If it's just the taste you are after, then I suppose it would be the same. This tea is not expensive, though. You get 30 bags for about $11. If you buy it loose and use a tea ball or other means of steeping loose tea leaves, you get a huge bag that lasts a very long time.
Answer: I purchased loose peppermint tea versus tea bags. I think the quality & amount of tea is far superior. You also get to choose the amount of tea you prefer.
Answer: For me, it's the simplicity. I think you would get a very similar result using peppermint oil. However, I can't find peppermint oil to be inexpensive. And then you have to mix each cup of tea. I'm lazy -- much easier to just drop one bag in, and it's done. :>)
Answer: Recently, I tried peppermint oil in water and it was a really bad choice, because it irritated my stomach very much. I suggest drink the tea instead.
Answer: The tea is delicious and 1 bag makes a whole pot - so not that expensive.
Q:
I have heard that peppermint can cause gerd, please advise. I love this tea!! Thanks.
Answer: According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, peppermint can actually relax the sphincter muscle which closes off the stomach from the esophagus. This can cause stomach acid to pour back into the esophagus and make heartburn or GERD worse.Jan 20, 2015
Answer: I have been drinking Heather's Tummy Tea (Peppermint) since 2011 and it has really helped me with my IBS. I've never heard of anyone who drinks it having gerd as a side effect.
Answer: I think it depends on your body and how much peppermint is being consumed. For me, I haven't experienced any kind of gerd or heartburn.
Answer: Hi - peppermint can relax the upper GI and allow reflux in people who are prone to it. If you don't normally have heartburn peppermint is unlikely to trigger it. If you are not having any reflux symptoms that is what matters - you wouldn't have it and not be aware of the problem. As long as you are feeling fine there should be no worries.
Answer: I love it too. I have been drinking it for a long time and I don't have Gerd So I guess it is who you are and What you eat.
Q:
I purchased this in Nov. 2016, and just found the closed container in the back of the cupboard. Is it still good? One or two had been taken out.
Answer: Hi - there is a "best by" date on the bottom of the can (or possibly on the side of the can at the bottom, to the left of the front oval panel). As long as the tea has been kept airtight in a cool, dry place it should still have the volatile oils intact. Over time, and with exposure to air, heat, and light, the oils dissipate and the tea becomes ineffective. It won't "expire" and cause any harm, it just won't be helpful if it is too old or has degraded from exposure. You can try brewing a bag and see how strong it is - that will be the best test of all.
Answer: It has a best by date. I bought mine on 10/10/17. My best by date is 3/2019. If the canister was closed properly, it should be fine. Check the best by date.
Answer: Tea bags last a long time. Considering it was still in the sealed container; it should still be good. It might lose it's strong flavor the longer it sits.
Answer: Brew a cup and drink it. If it tastes ok it probably is.
Q:
what is the tea bag made of? I've been a long time purchaser of this product. Initially they were made of paper. Now, they look synthetic.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: You can find the this info clearly on the product package. Biodegradable Jumbo Tea Bags- 100% Plant Based!
Q:
how many tea bags can I use maximum daily?
Answer: I am not a doctor nor naturalist, I bought this tea more than a year ago and what I can tell you that with only one bag you can prepare multiple cups because the tea bags are big and dense. I still have a lot! If you don't have any health issues, or blood pressure issues you might be fine drinking several cups. Ask your doctor
Answer: I would only use up to three. 1 bag for three cups of tea. Or two tea bags in one cup. I wouldn't go over 4. One tea bag has enough peppermint leaves to be high volatile. Four could possibly cause heart burn.
Answer: As many as you want!
Answer: Not sure there is an expert to answer this question but I would say “how many do you need you relieve your symptoms?” Personally, I might not want to drink more than 3 if I were having a bad day but it’s a personal thing. The worst thing I think you could expect if you were to drink to much would be to exasperate symptoms. Some get discomfort from reflux and other discomforts so drink if its reliving your symptoms and if brewing excessively and not finding relief, seek relief elsewhere I’d say.
Q:
Does this tea have the same effects if dranken cold vs. hot?
Answer: I think the effect is possibly better when drinking hot. I do brew the tea snd then chill ut for the wonderful cool taste during the hot weather.
Answer: It worked the same for me either way but you must brew the tea bag in hot water and then cool it down with ice or in the fridge.
Answer: I have only drank it hot. So I wouldn't know, but it has a very strong peppermint taste so I would think it wouldn't make a difference. Hope that helps. I read the instructions, it only says to steep it & drink.
Answer: It's better drunk warm as the warmth of the tea helps to sooth the digestive tract along with the fennel.
Answer: Yes it does and it is a great summer drink!
Product reviews of Heather's Tummy Teas Organic Peppermint Tea for IBS, 36 Jumbo Teabags
April&Ashley : Thank you, Heather!
I was suffering from a lot of digestion, constipation, and bloating issues after having to take a lot of antibiotics this past year. I ordered this tea and, after one cup, immediately felt and heard movement in my belly, something that hadn't happened in months. I ran out of the product and went two weeks without drinking it and the bloating and constipation returned. Ordered more and passed a bowel movement a few hours later. Obsessed!!!
Vanessa Ceja : IBS pain
I've had the worse IBS-D for the past year. I've gone to multiple DR's and was never really given anything that helped the bloating or cramps. I began to loose hope, it was sad. I've started a IBS natural healing journey & I bought this because of the amazing comments. So I felt like I owed back to whoever else is in desperate need of relief. I drink one cup in the morning & one in the night time before bed. My stomach is finally looking normal! I don't feel 9m pregnant anymore. It is strong but you get use to the flavor! So far it's been so worth it! no crazy pain epsidoes. I'm so happy!!!
Maria Pinto : The best tea for IBS
You can immediately taste the difference between regular peppermint tea and Heather's. It is very strong and fresh. I have IBS and this helps with digestion and bloat, like the fennel tea from the same brand (but I think the peppermint is more effective and pleasant). The can is very big, you get a lot of quality tea for a good price.
Connor Ripley : This product has been such a relief for me
This product has been such a relief for me! I've suffered with stomach and bowel disease since I was probably 10 years old and I'm going to be turning 34 soon! I've tired EVERYTHING to help control the symptoms. Because you can't cure IBS/IBS-D/IBS-C and IBS-Gas, but you can control your symptoms a bit. I love the flavor of Heather's Peppermint Tummy Tea. The High Volatile oil is so much better than the average peppermint teas. I drink this when I eat certain foods or if I don't feel 'all-around' good. This helps me immensely. I buy three containers every couple of months. And I will continue to buy them! This was a miracle find for me and I highly recommend this to everyone with stomach and bowel pains and problems.
Thank you so much Heather!
CMB : Excelent tea
Flavorful & it really helps.
Tinarr : Instant digestive relief
If I feel a bit off after a meal, I make this tea. By the time I've sipped some of it, I feel so much better. I knew I wanted something peppermint, and not just some tea that is sorta/kinda peppermint. This is it. Real peppermint leaves and plenty of them in each bag. I haven't officially been diagnosed with IBS, but I have had gall bladder issues, and there is just something sometimes that makes me feel lousy after eating - bloated, nauseated and with diarrhea at times. Very grateful to have something that eases all that. It's worth every cent to get natural, safe relief and feel well.
R. Kim : Top quality product.
Okay, it's not as good as peppermint tea made from fresh mint leaves, but that kind is extremely expensive, and often difficult to come by. So, as far as tea bags go, you won't find any as good as these, I've tried the rest. One bag is plenty strong enough for great big teacup, and I know that sugar isn't good for you, but it's an awful lot better tasting to me with some added:)
Betty Boop : Can't llive without it
This is my third purchase of this miracle tea, I have IBS and sometimes my stomach acts up, short of taking pepto, this is the only thing that stops the gurgling stomach attacks. I keep this in my house at all times.
susieq : It works!
Really does help to calm your tummy. You won’t be disappointed. Tastes good too
claytria mercer : Smells like potpourri
This really smells and taste like potpourri I’m gonna have this tested to make sure it’s safe for human consumption.
Erin Bowe : Yes.
Bro. If you're here it's cuz your stomach hurts. You need relief.

What you need to know:
-It is strong. If you don't like mint, don't buy this and then give them a bad rating.
-It gives you relief when you drink it. It doesn't last for the rest of your life. It's tea. Don't give them a bad rating for that.
Nancy : The best peppermint tea, no contest.
This is absolutely the best peppermint tea. There is no contest. Once you try this you will never ever go back to the regular, grocery store, cardboard box brands. Well, you might go back once. You might think “I don’t have time to wait to get tea in the mail. The other brand was fine.” Then you will try the other brand again and you will be sad. You will order this tea again because you will be ruined for all other peppermint tea for life.
DJ : Great teas for upset stomachs!
These teas are great for women wit stomach problems!
JamesL50 : Help for IBS
This product was ordered for my wife to use in conjunction with probiotics, digestive enzymes and pepperment oil to help with IBS. While using the four products, the symtoms of the condition were greatly reduced, but not cured. Since she is doing much better with the peppermint oil in conjunction with the other supplements, I give this product five stars. With IBS every little bit helps. Most of the time when she has an episode of spasms, the tea is very soothing.

Tracie Taylor : Magic Tea - I poop twice a day now!
this is a miracle product. i have had IBS (the constipation kind) since i was 6. i am now an adult and have struggled with other health related problems including interstitial cystitis. I was on a forum for IC and this was recommended. Now can i say that i have seen a huge difference in my IC by using this tea? No, i cannot. However, if you have constipation, gulp this stuff down. DAILY! I have now pooped twice every day for a week. i have never done that. literally never!!! i will buy this tea until i die. i don’t even like peppermint that much. but this tea is magical. thank you thank you thank you!
Jimenez_Katie : Changed My Life
Heather's Tummy Tea (peppermint) has changed my life. I easily get nauseous and bloated, but this tea puts a stop to that almost immediately. I share it with people in the office, and they are shocked at how quickly it is effective. This tea is even perfect after a big meal.
I don't have IBS, but i get bloated a lot and this tea has changed that!
Lisa R. : Perfect Peppermint Tea
I buy this for upset stomach and when I am feeling nauseated. Works perfectly. Strong essence of peppermint.

Erika Immekus : If you just want peppermint tea because you like peppermint then go buy a different product
BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE IBS!!!!! I've had IBS for as long I can remember( 20+ years) and this is the only thing that I have found that works to reduce pain/gas/gurgles/urgency. It calms everything down. I make a large cup every morning and sip it throughout the day. For the reviews that complain that it is too strong: this tea is for medicinal use, it HAS to be strong to work. Look at it as a natural medicine. If you just want peppermint tea because you like peppermint then go buy a different product. I will drink this until the day I die (or until my IBS mysteriously goes away).
Stephanie : LIFESAVER
This tea is a lifesaver for me! I've suffered from IBS for several years and this is by far the most important component of my maintenance routine. I make a big cup first thing in the morning. It's immensely effective and takes care of discomfort almost immediately. I'll also drink it throughout the morning when my digestive system is most sensitive, and anytime my stomach is upset. Works as a great post-meal digestive aide as well.
After drinking this for the past couple years, I've grown immune to the smell, but everyone arounds me is always saying how nice and pepperminty it smells. To me, any other peppermint tea is just too weak. This is the super strong, concentrated kind of stuff! I take it with me everywhere.
teamnasty : Unpleasant numbness
This seemed like a great bargain, the tin is nice, the aroma is pleasant. But while drinking a mug of this tea my mouth went numb and it felt like something was coating my tongue. It happened again the second time I drank this tea. I ended up throwing it out.
Kristina B. : Delicious and it works!
My mother in law always had this at her house, and the peppermint was so relaxing at the end of the day. So I bought some. First, it makes me poop every time I drink it. It's borderline annoying, but you know - it's for tummies? I also have a coworker who was having real issues with her tummy, so I gave her a few bags to try and she said it helped so much she bought her own. It's really strong, so don't let it steep too long. It'll make 2-3 cups of tea per bag easy.
Nicoletta : Does what it suppose to do. Love the peppermint flavor.
Very strong tea. It definitely settles the stomach.
Morgan : Great peppermint tea!
I don't have stomach problems, but mint tea is my favorite (really, the only kind of tea I like), so I have been on a mission to try all of the mint teas. I was intrigued by this one because it was described as "strong". And it is! Which is a good thing.

Starseed : Heather's Tummy Peppermint is The Best!
This Heather's Tummy Teas Organic Peppermint Tea for IBS, 36 Jumbo Teabags is the best tea ever. The tea has great flavor, great value for the money with Jumbo bags, and very soothing. I truly recommend that tea for intestinal disorders.
LORI JOHNSON udate : Tea
Mine was leaves, but it was no problem I bought Kurig filters with each Kurig empty holder for tea. Was great- in fact got more than 50 cups of tea, but used twice or three times each and worked great always. Works great!!!!!!!!!

LoveLabradors : Delicious! I love it!
This stuff is STRONG! I love it! Definitely cooling and calming, but not sure how well it works for IBS. The jury is still out for that. I would buy this again because it is the best peppermint tea I have found yet! and the can is huge! I was expecting a lot smaller container and tea bags. Definitely worth the price. So delicious!
Barney : Great but like old forumation better
Am a big fan of Heather Tummy Tea. Recently it seems like the formulation was changed and not quite as good as previous. I will still buy and would recommend but thought the previous which was a courser tea was better. As others have mentioned you can make a large cup.of tea from one tea bag. I put in a 20 oz. mug and have full flavor.
ColoradoGirl : So soothing for the tummy!
I look forward to a cup of peppermint tea every night! I don’t suffer from ibs, but I do find this tea very soothing to my tummy and relaxes me before bedtime. The flavor is remarkably satisfying!

LMS : NOT your average peppermint tea bag! they work!
These bags are STUFFED with the most potent smelling peppermint I have encountered. The taste is amazing!
I bought these along with the fennel bags (TERRIFIC) and IBS peppermint oil capsules for my daughter. She is 24 and gets horrendous IBS D, and has for years. It is very painful. When I read about this system I jumped on it for her- I had talked with her beforehand. She eats very well, trying to prevent an attack. But stress is the number one culprit- when it arrived- I took half of the peppermint and half of the fennel teas as I have IBS C, and have had for 25 years, as a young girl just like her.
These are truly amazing. I have woken in the night with a stomach ache, made some peppermint tea and it works immediately soothing my stomach and gut. You may think that these are just normal peppermint, but they must be the purest form from the immediacy of relief!
Heather's story is familiar to so many and this system is much needed, along with prescription (those may be needed also), to give us relief of what can be a debilitating illness.
You get 36 large bags absolutely STUFFED with peppermint leaves. I steep for as long as I desire, add honey and get relief.
WONDERFUL.
Amazon Customer : A truly Medicinal Tea!
I do not have IBS, but I bought the tea to have on hand during the flu season. The tea brews well using my Keurig coffee maker (for hot water) and
a large Tervis cup. The container seals up the tea so it stay fresh and that's a great feature. It's an attractive container also so you can leave it out on your counter if you want to.
My brother recommended this product and I have recommended it to my other family members.
Betty Boop : Can't llive without it

charmy80 : peppermint belly tea
I have had IBS for years. This peppermint tea is better than anything from the grocery store. I brew it for about 8-10 mins in a large mug every night. It’s so soothing and delicious. I wouldn’t leave the tea bag in longer than ten min otherwise it will get more bitter. This tea is wonderful for soothing your stomach and overall digestive comfort. I’ve used Heather Tummy Tamers capsules for a couple years now as well. I’ve also been adding the Senegal fiber into my tea. Trying everything I can to combat IBS. Add this to your regimen and experience comfort today.
SL. R : So tasty
Ok so I just purchased my second order today. I attempted to reorder the other day but I saw a $5.99 shipping charge. I decided not to order again. I purchased something else (different brand & more money). I am highly disappointed with the other brand. That said, I decided to reorder this tea. This is by far the best tea I have ever tasted. I'm addicted to the Peppermint taste and the taste to this is very strong. I haven't experienced any bloating since I started drinking this tea every single day. This is by far the best. I highly recommend you give this a try! Relaxes me, has helped me lose weight (maybe because of less bloating) helps curb my over eating!
DJ : Great teas for upset stomachs!
These teas are great for women wit stomach problems!
Kat Mangione : Best Mint Tea
This is the best mint tea on the market. I’ve been a fan for 15 years. Helps soothe tummy pains and upset associated with IBS, IBD, and Periods.
Lindsay H : Best peppermint flavor I’ve ever had!
This is, hands-down, the best peppermint tea I’ve ever had. I love that it’s environmentally friendly, too. (relatively speaking… obviously looseleaf is best for the environment, but sometimes you’re in a rush and need a tea bag, and this is a great option!)
Family Account : Dead meal worm found in tea
Dead meal worm found in tea bag. DISGUSTING, unsanitary and appalling.
Morgan : Great peppermint tea!

Mrs Mack : Highest recommendation for smooth taste
This is absolutely the most soothing mint tea we have ever found - it seems to send waves of peppermint healing to every inner place. I am not a paid reviewer . My husband has serious gut pain and he takes thus morning and evenings . Makes great Ice tea as well!!
Calif Girl : Too Strong, Xl tea bags , 2 stars
This is a huge tin of tea . Never in a lifetime could I finish it . The peppermint is super strong . Really I would have returned it. The tea bags are Xlg size bags . I had to cut the tea bag and put loose tea in my own tea strainer to even use it . If not it sooooo strong with peppermint could even swallow it . It’s a tea for IBS , But this was not even worth it that’s why I am giving it a 2 stars. Found candy called tummy drops! Best thing ever .. IBS is going away with “Sweet Lychee Peppermint “ TUMMYDROPS”
