Directions

To savor the full flavor of our teas, bring fresh water to a rolling boil. Pour hot water directly over the tea bag in a pre-heated pot or cup. Brew 3-5 minutes or to desired taste. One tea bag makes 8 ounces of hot tea. For iced tea, brew double strength.

why don't you make it easy to know how much tea is in a tea bag, like 1 gram or so?

Answer: Thank you for your question. We are required to list the net weight of the packaged good, which is reported as the net weight on the carton. To determine the tea bag weight, the net weight can be divided by the number of tea bags in the package. Answer: The net weight is marked on the box, but that would not be helpful if one just got the foil package in a restaurant. However, for me, I've never considered the amount of tea in a tea bag, just whether I liked the flavor. I adjust the amount of water to vary the strength.

Is this tea and packaging bpa free?

Answer: Thank you for your question! This tea and the tea bag packaging does not contain BPA per our suppliers. The filter paper used for Stash Teas is made from 100% cellulose fibers. No plastics are added to the paper. The filter paper is machine folded and pressed, therefore no thermoplastics or glue are needed. Answer: It is packed in a cardboard box. there is no indication that it is bpa free, so I don't know.

The site says a shipping fee of $5.99 for each prime pantry box. If I order 5 boxes of this tea at the same time, is it one shipping fee or five?

Do the bags have metal staples holding the string? or are they microwave safe?

Answer: Thank you for your question! Stash Tea currently uses two types of packaging machines, one that secures the tea bag with thread and another that uses a small, food-grade staple to secure. However, we are working to retire all of our machines that use the staple closure and move all packaging over to the thread closure machines by the end of 2018.

Answer: Hello John, The proper way to make tea is to have the water hot enough , not quite boiling and insert the tea bag into the water, cover and steep for a minimum of 3 minutes, we do until it is cool enough to drink.

nothing comes realatively cheap these days and still get the satisfaction. I love stash tea, as it presents both good value (via amazon) and offers a little luxury amongst its peers. There are more expensive brands, but as a brand, this one cuts about the rest. I love the chamomile version and it is a sure winner in the taste section too.
