Answer: I don't find this tea "sweet", I find it to have a strong "spicy" taste of cinnamon, etc. Some of the floral teas I find sweet, too sweet actually. I recommended this tea to all my friends that drink tea and they all love it too!

Answer: No, there are no sweeteners in the teas. We toured Celestial Seasonings Factory in Boulder, CO (free tour!) this year. They are actually "Herbal Infusions" rather than traditional "teas". Many of their teas actually contain no tea leaves (black, green, Ceylon, etc). The Bengal Spice has no tea leaves but the India Spiced Chai does contain black tea/caffine. The Celestial Sessonings tea company is really careful about their ingredients and quality. I highly recommend them!

El Tee : After Several Orders, Found The Six-Pack Not Consistently Flavorful
I've ordered the six-pack several times. I've been drinking this tea regularly for more than 20 years, and know what it should taste like. I love a bargain. However, I have found the six-pack of boxes to be inconsistent in taste for all the orders that I have made with Amazon. Some of the bags have the usual punch, but about 50-60% are just bland. I don't know if its because they are stale or if the six pack is part of a batch that does not meet the usual q/a standards and they just sell them at deep discount to move them. I'm disappointed, and it takes away from my image of Celestial Seasonings.

Every now and then I enjoy a nice cup of hot tea. My wife introduced me to this Bengal spice flavored tea. It has a very robust, complex flavor, and I really enjoy it. It is supposed to be non-caffeinated, but I find drinking it in the evening disturbs my sleep, so I don't drink any after about 3:00 in the afternoon. That aside, it is a very enjoyable tea. Buying it in bulk from Amazon costs a lot less than buying it at the store locally.

This warm spicy cinnamon based flavor has become an absolute favorite in our house. Not so spicy that it makes your throat hurt, or your mouth uncomfortable, but spicy enough that it packs a real flavor punch. It’s sweet enough on it’s own that most tea drinkers would require no additional sugar. We love drinking it with cream, constantly, and anytime of day or night. Bonus points for being caffeine free and thus bedtime friendly.

Love this tea. It’s true to its name as a spice tea. I like my tea strong so I use 2 tea bag’s to 24 ounces of hot water and steep for two hours, chill and serve as iced tea. I prefer drinking this tea iced but it’s also great hot! I will continue to buy this tea because it’s delicious! :)

Coffee Lover : NOT your Mother's Tea!
I have always been a coffee drinker! I find tea to be watery, not flavorful and unsatisfying. That said the caffeine in coffee finally began disrupting my sleep but I NEED that night-time drink. I tried quite a few herbal tea's and they all tasted like flavored water to me. Bengal Spice is about as far from "watery" as you can imagine. It is BOLD and flavored with cinnamon, clove, cardamom and ginger in such a way that you can smell it thru the unopened box. If you don't LOVE these spices you will not like this tea! Want something you can't help but notice, especially before bed, this is it.

Love the blend of flavors in this Bengal Spice tea by Celestial Seasonings. They got it right - not too strong, but certainly not boring. There is a richness about it that I haven't found in similar teas. The only problem I have with Celestial Seasonings is their "no strings attached" to the teabag philosophy. According to their position stated on the box itself, the omission of the teabag strings is their way of not adding to the pollution problem. To which I would ask, How much, really, are you doing for the environment by not putting a little piece of string on your teabags? Make them biodegradable, for heaven's sake, and put them on! IMO, having them on the teabag makes it much easier to squeeze out the water and dispose of them.

I bought this for my mother. It smells really nice. I can’t drink it because of allergies, but my mother loves it! It’s funny because she hates ginger, but she loves this tea. Bengal Spice is absolutely delicious tea - very flavorful and richly spiced. I highly recommend that you add sugar and milk or a milk substitute, but if not, definitely add sugar or a sugar substitute so that the spices burst with flavor!
The flavor is truly reminiscent of chai tea that's served in an Indian restaurant. If you want to add caffeine, try adding black tea. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to.

But after several used each day and day running into weeks at a time, we always eventually pick another brand and try it to keep things fresh and less boring. When we get back to this one, it seems like a new experience again. We drink a lot of coffee and tea being at home during the Covid-19 crisis and we highly recommend this group of herbal teas to help us wind down. Based on all of the 5 star reviews I was excited to try this tea. What a disappointment! I am a BIG TIME tea drinker, and this is one of my very favorites ever! For me, the mark of a really great tea is one that tastes terrific even without sweetener---and this one is so spicy and sweet all on its own! Plus, it's caffeine free! What's not to like?

This tea is amazing. I made it both hot and cold . I followed the directions on the box. Both ways are great. The flavor is very nice. Everyone thinks they have sugar in the drink, however that isn't true. You need nothing more than the tea to enjoy.

I can't get enough of this tea. I use a boiling water kettle that I purchased here on Amazon to boil 32 ounces of water. 4 bags of this tea, with 3 packets of stevia goes into each pot. I make two pots at a time, fill them half full with boiling water and let them steep for a couple of hours. Then each pot fills one half of a liter 'bormoglio' canning bottle, fill the rest with filtered water and in to the refrigerator they go. It keeps me out of serious trouble with diet colas :) It's wonderful iced or hot, but this time of the year the refreshing cold tea right from the fridge is perfect and tastes sooooooo good. No caffeine so great for those of us that are sensitive to caffeine too late in the day. I finally have something good to offer friends that drop by and they have all commented on how good and refreshing it was. No aftertaste left when using Stevia as opposed to artificial sweeteners or sugar.

I was thrilled to find an herbal tea with the similar level of spice flavor as Tazo liquid Chai. I have been struggling with GERD symptoms and had to eliminate caffeine, and was super sad to not be able to drink my favorite drink anymore; this is a great substitute and tastes great with a splash of almond milk and vanilla creamer. Love!

GL : I don't even like herbal teas but I love this!
Just to give some background, I love black teas and I also love chai but am pretty sensitive to the effects of caffeine. My friends introduced this herbal tea to me and I was skeptical at first but now I'm addicted to it! I can have this tea late in the evenings and not worry that I'll be up staring at my ceiling until 5 am. It's got a nice and spicy kick but isn't overwhelming. I've had other herbal teas in the past and have been left wanting so this tea has really changed my views on herbal teas. I typically serve it with either sweetened condensed milk to add some creaminess and sweetness or with just milk and some form of sweetener. My husband is now also a convert! 10/10 would buy again!

I am one who has a natural strong desire for sweets but who dislikes the side effects of so many of the things that satisfy. Loading up on sugar is never a good idea and I don't use any artificial sweeteners so am I ever happy with this tea. One glass of iced tea = zero calories, zero carbs, no negative effects and a hushed craving. My local stores quit carrying this - and I live in a not-at-all remote area - so based on supply/demand I can only surmise that maybe I do have a more vicious sweet tooth than most but this tea makes it as tame as the tiger on the box.

I find this tea so delicious that I thought I had found herbal tea nirvana. However, around the time I started drinking it I had a quite dramatic increase in, shall we say, my intestinal fermentation rate. I kept racking my brain to try to figure out what food was doing this to me every evening, but I wasn't eating the same things every evening. Then, I happened to note the 2nd ingredient listed on this tea is roasted chicory. This is also an ingredient in Fiber One bars (which I also love the taste of, but have personally re-christened Fart 100 bars). So, no more drinking this tea with careless abandon for me, unfortunately. I'm not going to completely give it up, but every bag will be viewed by me as potential dynamite ????

I've been drinking this tea for years and I recommend it to all my clients and friends. I was so pleased with the price and the ease of having it delivered to my door, knowing I won't run out. I can share this tea by giving away boxes. My grandson is a toddler and we introduced the tea to get him off the bottles of milk and he asks for his "TIGA TEA, TIGA TEA" Loves his tiger tea, I make it with a generous splash of whole milk.

Arrived in good time and in good condition. Sealed well. I have been use to Lipton. I thought I would give this a try. The tea is different. I haven't been able to put my finger on what exactly the testes are. For now I am calling it, "zing".

I love chai teas. All kinds. But this is the first I have purchased without a tea base and only contains the spices, it works well in heated milk (I use coconut or macadamia), and you end up with a nice, caffeine-free chai latte. I also mix these spices with a loose black English breakfast tea and pour in the spices into a loose leaf tea bag, then brew. Warm and mellow flavors, with a surprise flavor of carob, chicory, and vanilla notes. ENJOY!

I swore off caffeine at the beginning of the pandemic, to improve the quality of my sleep and exercise for better health. Most herbal teas are flowery or fruity-- hibiscus or orange or lemon-- and that gets tiring quickly. This tea has a warm spicy flavor, which becomes very rich if prepared with milk or half-and-half. It also tastes surprisingly sweet, and I can't figure out whether it is some kind of illusion, or whether there is some sweetener hidden in the "other natural flavors". I'm willing to believe it is not sugar, because the sweetness sometimes disappears depending on what other foods I eat, the way an optical illusion may be broken if you put some other object into view.

I enjoy Celestial Seasonings Herbal Tea, and when I found that Bengal Spice wasn't available at our local store, I looked to Amazon for help. This 6-pack was a bargain! And remember, Bengal Spice does not have caffeine.

This is an excellent buy. You get 6 boxes of 20 tea bags in each box. I love this flavour. I kept a few boxes and gave a few. I drink it at night it keeps me nice and warm. You can’t go wrong with this purchase cheap and flavourful.

This tea is amazingly good and has tricked my wife several times into thinking that I went to Starbucks to get her a chai tea. it is saving me money and saving my marriage because Starbucks has been closed for weeks! If you are a fan of chai tea then I highly recommend this product. It tastes great on its own, but I think it's even better with a little milk or sweet cream. And if somebody in your house is not feeling well, this stuff is like magic! It's warmth and aroma will make them feel great, and because it is truly decaffeinated tea, they can drink a lot of it to soothe their throat.

I love Celestial teas! I've always been a tea drinker and Celestial teas are my favorite. Bengal Spice is a warm cinnamon favorite. I think it's as good as any caffeine drink for a "wake me up" hot drink in the morning

It's reliably delicious and heartwarming, and tastes sweet all on its own without having to add anything (unlike coffee!!). I like that I can also vary the strength for a completely different experience, if I want. 1 teabag in a large mug (my tea mug is actually a "soup mug") makes a mild version, or doubled and it gets actually spicy. This is my favorite tea, hands down.

I have always enjoy this tea! Taste is bold yet can be indulge with milk, almond milk even coconut milk as a Chai! And reminds me of the holidays! Has a cinnamon scent upon opening the package! I enjoy this tea cold during summer! If you enjoy bold teas this is lovely and nicely blended. Just a note the vanilla flavor I hardly taste in the palate but still good tea every other day!

This is my favorite tea and very hard to find in stores during the summer. So glad I could purchased these and will continue to get them. Great with a little honey to sweeten, but not necessary.
