Answer: Thanks for your interest in Two Leaves and a Bud teas! Our Organic Assam tea is a black tea, so it does have moderate caffeine. All of our black and green teas will have caffeine (we don't offer any decaffeinated black or green teas), but we do have a great selection of herbal teas which are caffeine free. Look for "herbal" in the tea name to find our Herbal Tea Collection. Cheers!

Answer: By definition yes but it is completely different from petrol based plastics. It is considered a bio plastic because it is derived and made from the corn plant thus allowing it to have the similar biodegradable qualities of corn.

I normally would like my Assam to be bit stronger when having it with milk and sugar. But this one is perfect to have it plain. It taste great both hot and cold. Yes, greatly recommend it!

My partner and I drink this tea with milk every morning. The large box is more economical and generates a little less waste. I have never found another Assam tea as delicious as this one.

It is important for me to have my tea taste right -- adds to the quality of life! After trying many options, Two Leaves Assam Breakfast Organic Black tea has become and remained my favorite. I still continue to try out other brands of tea, just in case I need to have more varieties to use depending on the mood, but so far this one is the most preferable. Thanks for the great product! A little concerned about reviewers mentioning that the recent batch seems different. I have been getting the brown box that everyone seems to like too. I hope I don't get the new batch in the white box when I order the next time.

I am so with jazz lover (review Oct 2018) on this. This is one of the best rich black teas, and I was so happy to buy in bulk UNTIL my box arrived. Ridiculous and completely inappropriate that a food item isn't even sealed! I mean a bit of tape is all that's required. It should also be in an outer box. My box arrived opened and damaged and clearly 2 bags had fallen out and been stuffed back in the box. This compared with the 6 boxes of 15 bags which arrive perfectly sealed and packed. Don't buy this if you care about your food safety. I'm so disappointed in Two Buds that they clearly have ignored previous complaints.

I think I need to look for an Irish Breakfast tea because this is not dark/strong enough for me. By the time I add sweetener and cream I dont get the same taste I am looking for. What I would like to see "Two Leaves and a Bud" come out with is a:

Great tea - almost like loose tea flavor for a strong black tea. The tea bag is also decomposable, so ok for the environment. The pyramid shape helps brew well. Assam tastes different from the chinese black teas used in many other English Breakfast mixes - Assam is closer to Orange Pekoe and gives a more traditional black tea flavor. I do use 2 bags to get the fullest flavor for a really super-strong tea!

I bought the 100 count box because I really love this tea after I bought a small box from a grocery store. The tea bags that came in the box didn't taste quite as good as the small box I bought so that is a bit disappointing. The bag said Two Leaves and A Budk not sure what the difference is. But it was still very good. I drink it every day and I won't be running out for a while.

this is my daily morning tea - it is a more delicate bouquet than english breakfast. try it like this: with a mortar and pestle, ground two cardamom buds, a pinch of fennel seeds, and a little piece of cinnamon. grate a little ginger. boil a half cup of water on the stove, and add the ground spices, ginger, and a sugar (1 add about 2 teaspoons of sugar). as the water starts to boil, add one bag of the assam breakfast tea. let a nice color develop - takes about a minute. add a little less than a quarter cup of milk (whole, 2%, 1%, or fat free - you need less if it has more fat) and bring it to a boil. let it sit for 3-4 minutes before serving. it should have a nice caramel color.

My first purchase was completely satisfying. My second order was not. There were no more whole leaves but more crumbled twigs than leaves. And it reflected in the tea flavour. It is not as full bodied and satisfying. I’m still drinking it but not happy. This is the most calming caffeinated drink I've ever had. It has the ahhhh feeling when you drink it. It's very smooth and wonderful tasting. If you like black tea and are looking to experiment, this is the tea for you. I first got it a Fresh Market and got hooked, this is my favorite meal time tea.
