Product Description
For our special Earl Grey, we’re adamant about using only the best bergamot oil. We source ours from the same garden in Calabria, Italy year after year. Then we carefully blend this flavorful and aromatic bergamot with a bold handpicked black tea... a recipe like no other.
About the Brand
The Bigelow Tea Story Beginning the moment our founder, Ruth Campbell Bigelow created "Constant Comment" Tea in her kitchen in 1945, our family has focused on just one thing trying to make the finest teas possible. Over the years we have introduced many new flavors as well as concepts in tea. Today we offer a selection of deliciously different blends of teas and green teas, a wide variety of herbal teas and teas flavored with real fruit juice. Today Bigelow Tea is the number one specialty tea company in the United States. And to think it all began with the first legendary black tea flavored with golden orange rind and sweet spice "Constant Comment"Tea. Bigelow takes immense pride in providing the tea drinking community with the best tea at a great value. We only use hand- picked teas, real spices, flavors and herbs. The flavors and blends we have created are second to none. Some of our teas contain up to twenty different ingredients! And because tea is a leaf that can dry out we take steps to protect it. To keep the teas fresh, we seal our tea bags in protective packets. We simply have to protect those delightful flavors. That's why a cup of Bigelow Tea is aromatic and delicious; a true indulgence for the senses.

Questions about Bigelow Earl Grey Black Tea Bags, 20-Count Box (Pack of 6) Caffeinated Black Tea, 120 Tea Bags Total
Q:
What are the ingredients in the spiced chai tea? It just says "spices" . Not fair to not list them. It smells like it has vanilla in it--ugh.
Answer: Besides the obvious black tea, it includes cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper and Chinese star anise. Vanilla can sometimes be added and I'm not sure if Bigelow does this.
Q:
Are the tea bags individually packaged in this box?
Answer: The tea bags are NOT individually wrapped. 1 packet contains 4 tea bags. Since you have 40 servings per box, there will be 10 packets within each box. Unfortunately, once a packet is opened, the other tea bags lose their freshness.
Answer: I was very disappointed that the tea bags were not packed in individual foil wrapping. I enjoyed this tea in the past but each tea bag was packed individually.
Answer: There are not 40 bags in a box as the first person to answer says. Buyer look at the picture carefully. There are only 20. Another seller sells boxes that have 40 bags.
Answer: This not loose leaf tea... there are 40 individual tea bags. However, they are not individually packaged. There are four tea bags put into one foil packet... thus there are ten packets per box. If you are a stickler about maximum freshness, you should steer clear. Once you open a foil packet, you are exposing four tea bags. I don't care much about this, but I did assume that each tea bag was individually packaged.
Answer: The question was for Bigelow Green Tea - Decaf. The bags are packaged four per foil pouch which is absolutely perfect for making large containers of sun tea! No waste whatsoever. I love the way they are packaged.
Answer: The front of the box is very deceiving. It says “40 tea bags wrapped in foil pouches.” What it doesn’t say is that they are NOT individually wrapped. Very disappointing that they mislead like this.
Answer: I purchased the 6-box deal. I received six separate boxes which each included 20 individually-packaged tea bags. Each is in its own foil pouch.
Answer: Mine were boxed and individually wrapped.
Answer: Yes, you get several individual packs just like you would buy at the grocery store. But, the price for a case is a considerable savings over buying the boxes in the store.
Answer: Yes. Very neatly packaged in foil - in individual packets.
Q:
Is this tea just spearmint or spearmint and peppermint?
Answer: This tea is black tea and spearmint. Mint Medley is black tea with peppermint and spearmint. It tastes like doublemint gum.
Answer: Spearmint and black tea no peppermint.
Answer: The mint part is just spearmint, but it is black tea with spearmint rather than plain spearmint.
Answer: Spearmint and black tea
Answer: The ingredients on the box are just Black tea and Spearmint. There's no mistaking the Spearmint flavor and aroma. It's the best spearmint tea I have come across. I purchase this Plantation Mint in bulk quantity :-) Try it out it's awesome :-)
Answer: It's just spearmint. That's why I love it!
Answer: The box says black tea & spearmint
Answer: I think it is blended with spearmint thatsbon the label.
Q:
What is the taste profile difference between this and Mint Medley? Can anyone give an opinion?
Answer: Peppermint is added to the spearmint and Black tea in Mint medley. It makes a less sweet taste and more piercing with a stronger aftertaste than the spearmint alone. For a smoother sweeter taste, choose the spearmint of Plantation mint.
Answer: The mint medley has peppermint in it, whereas this does not. To me, this is a smooth mint, it isn't one that has a bit of bite or is too minty on the front end of the experience. It's mild as it relates to mint, but so damn delicious. It's my absolute favorite, and 3 stores in my area are out of it, forcing me to buy online. My heart is sad.
Answer: I tend to drink my tea iced and this is one of my all time favorites. Mint medley tends to come off a bit bitter and unbalanced when used for ice tea while plantation mint has a nice smooth taste and is good with or without sugar. It also has a much stronger taste as its a black and mint tea.i guess in the end the best recommendation i can give is that i stay away from brands like this, lipton.celestial seasons, etc but i always make an exception for plantation mint
Answer: Plantation Mint is black tea with spearmint. Mint medley has black tea, spearmint and peppermint. It tastes similar to double mint gum.
Answer: I've never had mint medley before, but I belive that it is an herbal tea. This is a black tea/spearmint combo.
Answer: It is a black tea with mint. It is my Favorite tea. Not an herbal tea.
Answer: Mint Medley is herbal, whereas Plantation Mint is caffeinated. Both are delicious and very minty.
Q:
are the teabags individally packaged?
Answer: Yes. There are 20 individually packaged teabags in each box.
Answer: Yes....each tea bag comes in it's own wrapper.
Answer: They are! Which is nice since it makes them exceptionally convenient
Answer: yes
Answer: Yes
Q:
Do you get a six pack with 20 tea bags in each pack? 120 tea bags?
Answer: Yes!
Q:
Is this tea at all similar to trader joe's vanilla cinnamon black tea (which has been discontinued :( )?
Answer: This tea is not as spicy or chai like (which is why I like it) it is smooth and flavorful with vanilla and is divine with milk. I have had Trader Joe's elephant chai which is sweet and strong. This tea is smooth and subtle spice.
Q:
Just clarifying. In each foil package is 4 tea bags, right? My husband makes sun tea & would prefer not to open four individual foil bags.
Answer: Yes, the 40-count box (of Bigelow Constant Comment) contains 10 - 4 bag 'pouches'. For individual bags, try the 20-count box.
Answer: Yes there are 4 individual tea bags per foil package. If you want one tea bag you open top of a foil package remove one tea bag then foil package folds over to reseal 3 remaining bags.
Answer: That's correct. One foil package contains 4 individual (not wrapped) tea bags. Yummy, huh?
Answer: Yes there are 4 tea bags in one foil package
Answer: Yes, 4 tea bags in each foil package.
Answer: Yes, four individual bags in each foil package.
Q:
Does anyone know what the ingredients are for "spice and natural flavor"? I love this tea, but skeptical about ingredients. Thanks.
Answer: You could contact the Company and voice your concerns, they may be able to respond in a more specific manner.
Answer: I don't think the special ingredients are anything to worry about--just cinnamon, orange rind, etc. The Bigelow Co. very closely guards the recipe. And there is no other tea like it.
Answer: To the best of my knowledge sweet spices is made up of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, star anise, cardamom and sometimes pepper, the pepper would be part of the natural flavor.
Q:
Is this decaf?
Answer: This is not decaf.
Answer: No it is not. It is a black tea. It is very tasty.
Answer: No....this flavored black tea. It's good cold hot or cold.
Answer: No, it isn't
Answer: No, it does not. Sorry
Q:
This is for the seller what is the expire date on the black tea
Answer: Not the seller, but a HUGE fan of this tea. Just got a delivery today (November 14, 2017) and checked the boxes. They say "Best enjoyed by August 2020." Each tea bag is individually wrapped in a foil pouch so you could probably go longer than that ... but you won't ... this tea is that good. I drink at least one cup a day (more on weekends) so the 120 bags I got today will probably only last me about 3 months. I just wish that they'd sell this in stores.
Answer: Aug 2020
Answer: June of 2020
Q:
does this contain caffein
Answer: It was not listed in the ingredients, however black tea was, which I'm familiar with that containing caffeine. I checked the Company website and it showed that black tea has 30 to 60 milligrams per serving.
Answer: Yes, it does contain black tea, but it's never bitter, no matter how long you brew it, and it never gives me a jolt. More like a gentle nudge!
Q:
Is this 6 boxes of 20 tea bags?
Answer: Yes. My purchase was 6 boxes of 20 tea bags.
Answer: Yes it is. And a great tea also.
Answer: Yes!! Best way to buy it!!!
Answer: Yes it is.
Answer: yes

Answer: yes
Q:
Why is the flavor called “plantation” mint?

Answer: Tea gardens = plantations
Answer: I think it is to distinguish it from their peppermint tea. Huge difference in taste.
Q:
Does this tea come in pods as well?
Answer: Yes!
Answer: No
Q:
From what country this tea come from?
Answer: I am not sure , I believe Bigelow is an American company although it could be British. I have enjoyed this tea for many years. The taste and the aroma are both enjoyable to me. I have tried other brands but I always come back to Bigelow. It is black tea with spices. It smells and tastes so good. The price here is much better than Walmarts where it is almost always sold out.
Q:
Does this tea affect digestion?
Answer: No.The Bigelow is the best Tea in the market.Regards

Answer: I am sorry I did not buy the Earl Grey, I bought Vanilla flavor. I do not know the benefits of either. I know Ginger tea is supposed to help with inflammation
Answer: I drink Bigelow Classic green tea and I drink Bigelow English tea time black tea. The reason I choose Bigelow Tea is because they put their tea bags inside protective aluminum foil pouches which protect the tea.
Q:
Can i make sun tea with this ??
Answer: I’m my opinion, absolutely! This is a potent, bold flavorful tea that takes far less steeping in boiling water than you’d expect. I remove the bag after only 30 seconds. So sun-brewing for a couple of hours should produce a satisfying batch of Earl Grey. I would use one tea bag for each 8-10 ounces of water, so it might be a bit pricey to make say, a gallon of tea. Go for it. Little to lose.
Answer: don't know, i bought "constant comment" which is excellent

Q:

Answer: Bigelow Tea has changed the name of its "Plantation Mint" to "Perfectly Mint." According to Bigelow, the name has changed, but the recipe
Q:
how many grams of carbs and sugars are in the vanilla chai one?
Answer: As long as you just make it with water and don't turn it into a latte there is zero. Any additional sugars or natural sweeteners will add carbohydrates. But it tastes delicious even with no sweetener whatsoever. If you do like it sweet I would recommend using some powdered Swerve. I drink mine Unsweetened.
Q:
Are the *boxes* individually wrapped? I want to send this to a food bank, but want them to be able to distribute to 6 families.
Answer: The boxes are not wrapped in plastic. They are individually sealed in cardboard boxes by flavor like you would buy at the grocery store (and as shown in the picture). And as mentioned the tea bags inside the sealed boxes are also individually wrapped in the standard foil/paper packet.
Answer: The teabags are individually wrapped, the boxes are sealed. I have given boxes of tea to the food bank.....so...I think that would be fine.
Answer: The six boxes are shrink wrapped together but each box is sealed as it would be on the grocery shelf. I think you would be safe. Each tea bag is individually wrapped, also.
Answer: The boxes come as a set, but they are individually wrapped by flavor. It's also nice because the tea bags are also individually wrapped in each box.
Answer: They are individually wrapped
Answer: Yes the boxes are individually wrapped.
Q:
I see licorice root in the ingredients. Is there any grams of sugar in this toasted coconut tea?
Answer: I'm sorry, I cannot say. We drink only one Bigelow tea so far in this house but it's not the Coconut Almond Bark. It is English Teatime Black tea. I don't believe that one has any sugar.
Answer: There are zero grams of sugar or artificial sweeteners in any of our teas.
Answer: I only order their English Breakfast tea so I have no idea.
Q:
Is the orange spice decaf? i don't see decaf in the description or picture, but it came up in search for decaf tea
Answer: The orange spice I believe is an herbal tea. It’s good but I prefer the black or green tea flavor. Constant Comment is my all time favorite and it comes black, green, and decaff. If you like fruity and spicy flavor you will really enjoy this. Hope this helps.
Answer: Hi Alan
Answer: Dear Alan,
Answer: They sell decaf version. It will say decaf on the box in a green bar.
Answer: This one isn't decaf but it does come in DECAF. It will have a small green label on the box saying "decaffinated"
Answer: Nope, regular caffeinated. The decaf has a green stripe indicating its decaf
Answer: Not decaf
Q:
“Plantation mint”? Bigelow can’t find a better word to describe the mint? Does it awaken the senses to the distinctive smell of slavery
Answer: Thank you for reaching out, we understand your concerns. We recognize & honor the fact that the word plantation carries significant pain in this country and throughout the world. Last year the name Plantation Mint tea was changed to Perfectly Mint. You should see the completion of this change around the nation over the next several months.
Answer: There is nothing wrong with the plantation. Quite being so sensitive. Smh.
Answer: I don’t think so, but suggest you boycott.
Q:
Breakfast
Answer: Never try it yet

Product reviews of Bigelow Earl Grey Black Tea Bags, 20-Count Box (Pack of 6) Caffeinated Black Tea, 120 Tea Bags Total
Robyn : Don’t waste your money!!
This CHOCOLATE CHAI tea was HORRIBLE! I absolutely love the vanilla chai so I thought this one would be good, too. Boy was I wrong. You cannot even taste chocolate. It smells and taste like a bunch of cloves...not even like chai at all! How can this be so different from the vanilla chai? So disappointed I wasted $18 on six boxes of tea that I’m going to just throw away. I couldn’t find any at the store to try so bit the bullet and ordered the qty of six.....I wouldn’t even attempt to pawn this off on my friends it is so terrible.
Scott D. : Rich, full-flavored black tea / wonderful aroma - The only tea I carry in my emergency to-go bag
My wife and I discovered this flavor on a trip to Florida, and it instantly became my favorite. It rivals a really, REALLY great cup of coffee in my book. I recommend this variety to everyone I know that loves a good cup of tea.
I assume most tea drinkers enjoy a variety of tea, which we select for the specific circumstance? My wife and I usually have a dozen of our favorites on hand, but this is my go-to tea. It has certain earthiness, but despite it being strong, it's not overpowering. There's only the mildest hint of coconut, but it's presence is there as a counterbalance to the dark earthy tones. VERY well balanced flavor, and it's got an appealing broad spectrum of notes that come together to near perfection for a black tea. Nice pleasant aroma - not perfume-y like an Earl Grey, just a good complement to the flavor.
This is the ONLY tea I have in my emergency to-go bag, because - let's face it, when catastrophe strikes, who doesn't want to take a moment to calm down and gather their thoughts over a perfect cup of tea?
I can't find it locally, and even if I could local stores couldn't beat Amazon's pricing and convenience. Get it as a subscription and save even more.
NurseJEDI : Raspberry Royale is royally disgusting
I have had this flavor before but it has been many years. I drink a lot of iced tea... this may be the worst batch I have ever tasted. Now, I read the very helpful reviews that explained how their flavoring has changed and how horrible the new and unimproved raspberry tasted. I read them... and then I ignored them. I thought, how bad can it be? I love tea!
Guys, not only is it that bad... I would say they were generous. A sickly sweet, vaguely maybe possibly related to fake raspberry syrup smell gives way to a taste of, I don't even know. Maybe jet fuel. And dirty laundry. Acrid and chemical and sharp and seriously gross. So now I have 5.5 boxes of disgusting tea. And a horrible taste in my mouth that's lasted hours even with toothbrushing and mouthwash. Maybe I can gift the remaining boxes at Christmas but I can't think of anyone I dislike quite that much.
JT : Awesome tea!!!
Bigelow makes a great vanilla chai tea. I've tried other brands of chai tea and find they're a little to peppery for my palate. The vanilla in this tea really compliments the chai flavor with no peppery sensation and is awesome with a little honey and milk. BTW, if you're a regular tea drinker, I highly recommend using Amazon's subscription service.
Amazon Customer : FAVORITE TEA EVER!!!
FAVORITE TEA EVER!!! This tea has an amazing vanilla flavor with depth. I've tried every vanilla flavored tea I could get my hands on, but nothing compares to this one. I do wish it were less expensive, but compared to the price of teas by other big names, it isn't excessive. And since it really is THE BEST, I'll continue to buy it. Try it, you won't regret it!!!
Robyn : Don’t waste your money!!

Mae : Something isn't right
I ordered the Vanilla Chai Tea on auto-delivery in March because my local grocery store can't keep it in stock and it was a better price to order it on Amazon. The first delivery was fine and I enjoyed every tea bag. My second delivery came in April and I have used my first box. I noticed with the first tea bag that the color of the packaging was different. Then I noticed right away that the tea was not as flavorful. I thought maybe it was me so I bought a box at the store and compared. It's not me. I've opened my second box and the same thing - the color of the package is different. I checked the expiration date, which was fine and I also checked to see if I could tell a difference on the box itself. But I couldn't. Wondering if I just got a dud 6 boxes of tea - but very suspicious that something is going on to make this not legit.
lou e : Great deal for a great tea! ????
I love this tea. It is the perfect blend for me when I want a black tea that’s kind of comforting (without making me sleepy), this is the one.
Besides the tea, I love this deal even more.
Six boxes of 20 each for this price either meets or beats anything I can find at a store and it saves me time on each of the six trips I would hv made to the store.
Because they are individually wrapped in these sealed little aluminum packets, they stay fresh. And that’s good because I’ll probably be drinking this tea from now through winter and spring of next year (it’s currently early
October).
It may seem a small thing, but it made my day. ????
T. Black : Super minty fresh with a nice black tea background, a favorite!
This is one of my all time favorite go to teas. This tea is now called Perfectly Mint but has been around for years and was formerly called Plantation Mint, in case you did not know there was a name change. It has a nice minty flavor with black tea in the background go you get a better caffiene kick than with a green tea. This is a tea that is good either hot or cold, I like it both ways. Because of the mint it has a natural sweetness but I do add some sugar and honey. It smells fantastic and comes in foil packaging for the individual tea bags so is always fresh.
Julie Lambert : Best Tea!
I seriously just love this tea and it’s my absolute favorite!! If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend it, even if your not a cinnamon lover. It is such a tasteful blend of tea. It’s not a all overwhelming with cinnamon. I actually forget I’m even drinking cinnamon tea. Although you can lightly smell it and get a slight taste the blend to me is perfect. I’ve had other brands and there is no comparison. There is no bitter taste that can be detected in other teas.. even plain tea sometimes. If they ever stop selling this I would be lost.
Nominatus : Great Tea for Beginners or Lifers
BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT. If you have never tried this tea you are in for a treat. I drink many expensive teas like Marco Polo and other French teas, and they are wonderful but Constant Comment is a strong black tea that fills a room with a delightful fragrance that really does rival teas that cost ten times as much; a mainstay tea that makes a great gift and will start many newbies on the trip through the delights of making their own tea. I like the loose tea when I have time for the "ceremony" of tea making but use the tea bags at the office or if I'm in a hurry at home. One of the few teas that really makes a couple of cups from each bag.
For loose tea, don't make the mistake of using one of those little balls that don't leave enough room for water to circulate around the tea.
Cleaningoutmyclosets : Confused by reviews!
This is tea. Just plain old tea with a little cinnamon flavor. I'm really confused by the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I bought a 6-box pack of this because it was a lot cheaper that way (I'm cheap) and so many reviewers said "this is my favorite tea". And now, having tried it, I'm over here like, have you tasted GOOD tea, people?? Because there's nothing special about this tea. Honestly if I had to name my 50 favorite teas, this one wouldn't even make the list. Now I'm facing the harsh realization that I don't have enough friends in my life, because I can't even give away these 6 boxes of tea.
lori j : One of my staple teas!
This is a staple in my house. My husband drinks iced tea year round, so I try to vary the flavors. I use this with Celestial Seasonings Citrus Sunrise and it makes a great orange creamsicle flavor. I combined it with black cherry to get a cherry vanilla tea. I've also used it with blueberry, raspberry, cinnamon, other chai teas. I also used it with peppermint to make a very refreshing vanilla mint tea. On its own as a hot tea, it's great as well. Creamy vanilla taste that pairs well with black tea. It's not overpowering, but it's perfect to add dimension to other teas if you're doing flavored iced teas or on its own hot.
Kindle Customer : My favorite tea
I always loved the tea that I would get at the Chinese restaurant this tea flavor is similar to me. I especially love this with a little sugar over ice. The best black tea flavor. It doesn't have that ashy flavor that some other black teas give off. I have ordered and reordered. Though make sure you read the product description, a lot of tea arrives so if you haven't tried it before I would go with a smaller portion.
YTSEJAM : I am addicted to this tea
I am addicted to this tea. I hate any tea mixed with peppermint, but LOVE spearmint. I use 7 bags in my coffee maker ( ) and 10 cups of bottled water. I mix with 2% milk, a bit of honey, and maybe 10 drops of lemon... I am betting I am the all-time highest purchaser of this tea on Amazon.
I go through spells of drinking coffee (usually Gevalia medium roast) and tea, and each time I go back to tea I wonder why I would ever drink coffee. And I think it's due to the following:
The only SLIGHT negative thing I can say about this tea is that I build up a tolerance to the mint experience. It's like there's not enough mint in the tea and it becomes normal tea. So after quitting for a week, month, or whatever, and I go back to this tea, it's intense again! I've bought mint oil and tried to "up" the mint, and it's nasty. This tea is perfect except for this ONE issue that I experience and I am guessing it's no fault of the tea, but of my obsession with it, and super-strong strength I prefer.
Leann Bartolo : Great taste
I frequently go to the Japanese Steakhouse and love their tea. I have tried all different teas and I did not really like them (white raspberry, green, breakfast blend). I called the restaurant to see what kind they served and they said Oolong. I looked at all the stores in our area and none carry it. Luckily I found it on Amazon. I heated a coffee size mug of water and followed the directions on the box that said “steep for 2 mins”. I took a couple of sips and it was fantastic! It tastes just like the restaurants. Only problem is WOW that’s a lot of caffeine. I had to add another cup of water to help with the caffeine. Now I know that I need 16-20 oz cup of hot water for 1 tea bag that is steep for 2 mins and I can’t drink it before bed.
Diana : Perfect cup, bags and boxes
I have not been exposed to 'better' tea! This is the perfect cup of tea for me. Each bag is individually foil wrapped. (recyclable) The fragrance thrills me each time I open one. The teabag itself is a light but tough material. So tough I've managed to save a few, dry them out and empty. Then I use them for unusual tiny paintings and other quirky art. (Guache works best!) The box is well made with turned in corners in front, meant to be opened/closed many times. If you're a nutty repurposer as I am, you will find many uses for the nice empty boxes as well. ;)
Dana : Oh The Aroma!
I tried competitor brands but I was at Cragun's Resort in Brainerd, MN and they featured this tea....love at first smell. I got home to Florida and loaded up a big supply of Bigelow Black Tea. When you open that foil pouch, you'll know what I'm talking about. Better than any Lipton Tea, Nestea or Twinings version of black tea that you'll find. 5 stars!
Raine : Weak compared to boxes from local store
Very weak tea. I use this tea a lot and am very disappointed that the 4 bags in a package version is nothing like the individual bags I usually purchase. I brewed two tea bags of the usual individually wrapped kind from a local store the night before I received this package. The two bags I brewed in 16oz of water and were very dark and flavorful. However, when I brewed two of the bags from this purchase, of the four bags a pack type in the same 16ozs of water, it was very weak and lacked flavor. Don’t recommend.
Dennis McMahon : Contents Not as Described in Writing
The product description states that the tea is "Individually Wrapped". The tea bags are wrapped four (4) tea bags in a foil pouch. Instead of being assured of freshness by being "individually wrapped" now I have to fold over the foil pouch and tape it shut in order to keep the flavored tea sealed in the foil pouch. Secondly, the amount of tea in each tea bag is less than the amount of tea in a tea bag when the tea bag is "individually wrapped" in a foil pouch.
Teri M. : Always in my cup ????!
I drink Chai all day/night. I love how Bigalow individually wraps each tea bag so that it stays fresh. I also drink the regular Bigelow Chai and saw the Vanilla Chai! Yum. Hooked!! I will even use different Tea and Chai while brewing to get different flavors. Their herbal teas are great as well!
They are a great value for the money for the flavor that they pack & Bigelow certainly offers enough of a selection at a phenomenal price. It is one of my go two brands of Chai. I buy buy by the case I like Bigelow Vanilla Chai and their others so much.
You can Brew them just like you would a typical tea bag with water and have it hot or cold. Or you can turn it into a hot or cold chai latte. Yum! It has so much flavor that you do not even need to add any type of sweetener. Sugar substitute or otherwise.
Friday : Enjoy a Cup of Comfort
Impossible to find in my local grocery stores, this is one of my favorite beverages. It’s delicious hot or iced so I buy it in multiples and drink it all year long. The cinnamon isn’t overpowering like some herbals and delicious straight or sweetened. Making a latte out of it is a very winter warming delight. During the summer months icing it and lightly sweetened is refreshing. Reviewing this hardly seems fair since it sells itself in every way.
Quackerone : Not same product as comes in the 20bag/carton.
I thought I was buying the same teabags that come in the 20 bag carton, only that these would come 4 to a foil pack. Wrong! 4 teabags are crammed into a heavy plastic pouch that is hard to open, and the teabags are different in design. The regular bags are flow through and in a loop, so the tea has more exposure to the water. These bags are a simple pouch, just like cheap tea comes in. When I have opened the regular one bag foil pouch, I can really smell the wonderful scent of the tea; not so with these. The paper seemed different and was stained orange, as though the orange oil essence leached into it. I don't know whether the difference is in the bag design, paper, or that there are 4 bags crammed into a packet. After I made my tea as usual, I compared the used bags. The paper was much lighter than the regular bag, so I don't think the tea infused as well as the regular bag has. I wouldn't buy them like this again. I don't think it is the same product. Anyway, shop around. I bought this as a matter of convenience because sometimes my usual grocery is out of them. The price isn't that different from what you'd pay at a grocery store.
Michael Deane Houghton : Antioxidant Rich and Anti-Inflamatory Bigelow Oolong Tea
This product sells at a great Prime price.
With multiple sclerosis, I follow a healthy, antioxidant rich, anti-inflamatory eating regimen based on Dr Weil's anti-inflamatory food pyramid. Dr Weil recommends incorporating Oolong tea into my daily eating regimen as often as possible.
RV Traveler : Hits the mark
It's my staple morning brew now. I used to be a 2-cup coffee-drinker until my body rejected the stuff. Sad day. So I switched to tea. I did English / Irish Breakfast tea since it had the most caffeine for tea that I could find, reasonably priced. Discovered this stuff and now this is my favorite. Its the first thing I have every morning.
Bagaholic : NO flavor
I finished the AHMAD TEA (Earl Gray) which used to have a lot better flavor, but this time was a disappointment, so I thought to give BIGLOW a try from reading the review. MORE disappointment! BIGLOW has even less of the flavor, in fact, no flavor. This is just a simple black tea. That's all. I am regretting for ordering such a big box.
katarinaism : Not only an excellent tea, but also has a very strong nostalgic ...
Not only an excellent tea, but also has a very strong nostalgic connotation for me. My mother, grandparents, and great-grandparents all drank this tea (according to Wikipedia, it's been around since 1945- and in my opinion, has withstood the test of time). My mother told me stories of her grandfather, a WWII vet, making tea in the morning and keeping the tea bag to reuse throughout the day (she claims it would last him 2-3 cups, or the good part of a day). I grew up on the same tea, and always relished the spicy, orangey flavor which gave it distinction from the other black and green teas in our cupboard. As an adult, I kept buying it, keeping a space in my cupboard alongside my more pricey, artisanal teas from Teavana or Whole Foods. When I brew it, the smell always brings back memories of my childhood and makes me feel nostalgic. Over time, the tea is not as strong as it used to be (?less tea per bag) but the flavor is the same, and hopefully it will never change! It's a cherished classic for myself and many others.

Dawn Whitaker : You will get one box of 20 teabags, not 6 boxes of 20 teabags
I've ordered this item several times in the past and have had no problems. I ordered this item on Nov. 23rd, and two days later I received one box of 20 teabags. The description clearly states you will get six boxes of 20 teabags in each box (for a total of 120 teabags). I reported the discrepancy to Amazon, and asked for a replacement. I received the replacement item three days later, and again it was only ONE box of 20 teabags. I don't relish paying full price and only getting 1/6th of the item described. Please be cautious: this item may not be fulfilled correctly as described.
C. Aloisi : Somehow both gross and mild
I'm not a big tea person, but I do like a chai latte. I bought this tea after reading scores of positive reviews of people praising this on high for just that purpose.
Unfortunately I found this tea to be extremely weak and flavorless, while still somehow managing to have an unpleasant aftertaste. I might as well have mixed my milk and sugar with a cup of hot, stale water even after a long steep. Maybe this is okay plain, but if you'd like a flavorful beverage, look elsewhere.
Xena : MISLEADING NOT 120 TEABAGS ONLY 60!!
Recently got around to open my package with held both my teas and inside was 3 oolong boxes lying inside the amazon package box and my earl grey tea which that one came inside a smaller earl grey box will all 6 tea boxes. This is misleading as i was only sent 60 oolong teabag and not 120 teabag as stated on title!!! I have been jipped out of my money and sadly my return window has been closed! This is not right and for that matter this was ship and sold by Amazon! Come on amazon how could you purposely give me half an order that's not right!!!
Roy Simpson : Full of flavor
It's time for me to give back to the community (lord knows I have read a ton of reviews for products, but rarely leave reviews).
I have been ordering and using this chai tea for about a year. I probably have it three times per week. I am not necessarily a chai snob, but I do like a flavorful iced chai that competes with Starbucks. This brand is the best I have found. I use a teaspoon of cinnamon, 16 ounces of boiling water, and steep two of these teabags for 5 - 6 minutes. I then pour in about 1/2 cup of almond milk, stir, pour over ice, and enjoy.
Like I said, this is the best brand I have found so far (and I likely will not bother switching).
A : Fantastic flavored black tea at a good value
Whenever I’m craving a coffeehouse chai, I brew a cup of Bigelow Vanilla Chai black tea, add hot milk and honey, and it’s just as satisfying and a fraction of the cost. I find this tea to be very smooth, and with a good balance of vanilla, spices, and black tea flavor. The tea bags come individually wrapped in foil wrappers, which makes it convenient to take a few tea bags along traveling or stored in a “tea chest,” and keeps them very fresh. It’s a good price and handy to buy the 6-pack of 20 count boxes.
L. Wilson : Best Mint Anywhere
This stuff is soooo gooood. Spearmint is my preference in the kitchen for mint uses... I have grown spearmint for years now.. and enjoy it in my iced tea in summer, as well as mojitos and assorted recipes. In the winter my mint goes dormant.. thus I purchased this - several years ago now. It with rosemary is delicious on pork or lamb....
Well, the flavor outdoes my homegrown mint... this stuff far surpasses it... can't begin to tell you why, but when winter comes around I enjoy going to this bagged stuff. One teabag puts plenty of mint in my pitcher of tea... yes I drink iced tea year round. If you've lived along Gulf of Mexico, you know about our weather here. The winters tend to be amazing... cool and nice feeling most days - when it's not muggy that is..
The flavor can be mild, my preference for hot tea, then can use teabag for couple cups... and if you like strong hot tea it will go to that length easily.

Jill Clardy : Rich & Strong Black Tea
We alternate between Bigelow Earl Grey tea bags and Constant Comment tea bags, and in order to ensure the pantry is never empty, I recently added this to my Subscribe & Save shipment since it is the most economical way to purchase it. I like the rich and aromatic brew, and especially enjoy using it to make iced tea. The distinctive bergamot flavor is what sets this tea apart from all other black teas.
Lisa : Tea in 4-bag packs seems to lack flavor
I like the 4-bag packs to save on packaging. However, I kept noticing that my tea from these 4-bag packs (my first cup of the day) seemed to lack flavor compared to the equivalent decaf Earl Grey tea in individual packs (my second cup of the day). When I placed my next order of caffeinated Earl Grey, I ordered the single packs (see photo). Sure enough, on a blind taste test my husband set up, I thought the tea from the single pack had more bergamot flavor than the tea from the 4-bag pack. The expiration dates are in 2022, so that's not the issue. I (superstitiously?) think Bigelow puts inferior product into the 4-bag packs. I like the tea in the single packs and will order them in the future. Take this for what it's worth; your mileage may vary.

Lacemaker427 : The best spiced chai flavored tea of any available / very highly recommended!
This is the most delicious vanilla chai I have ever tasted, and I have tasted many. I love that they left pepper out of their spice bouquet, because for me, pepper completely ruins the flavors of the warm spices. This is the perfect cup of tea to drink while curling up with a book! I like to make it with a 50/50 blend of water and milk and just a touch of sugar. Brown sugar plays up the warm spices beautifully. Yum,...please excuse me while I go make a cup!
StephenN : Great aroma!
Bigelow owns the property where it obtains its unique and distinctive bergamot; a wonderful fragrance that distinguishes its Earl Grey tea. No other commercially available “Earl Grey” tea duplicates the aroma. While the “double bergamot” Earl Grey tea marketed by Stash has a strong pungency, and a great aroma, the subtlety of Bigelow’s version clearly creates a nuance or a niche above all competitors various versions of this classic scented tea. Kudos to the Bigelow brand! ☕️

Elizabeth : Just purchase this from your local grocery store or directly from Bigelow
I ordered a 6-pack Constant Comment and only one box came in the order so it was missing the other 5 boxes (100 tea bags). Extremely disappointed. The box was also damaged. The price also reduced by $8.00 since I purchased it last week. I received a refund but really would have preferred having the complete order delivered. If you are wanting to purchase this explore other options first.
Jean Wilson : Raspberry Royale has been reformulated
The tea has been a long favorite of my sisters and I. It was beginning to be very difficult to find in local stores, so I ordered the tea from Amazon. When it arrived (yeah!) I brewed a cup right away. It seemed to have a different fragrance than I was used to. It does not have the same full flavor as before. So, I wrote to Bigelow and asked if they have changed the blend. Yes, Raspberry Royale has been reformulated in the blending. I received a very nice, and fast reply from their customer service department.
Here is the reply:
Dear Ms. Wilson:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your feedback on our Raspberry Royale tea; this tea has been reformulated to now have an All Natural Raspberry flavor.
As a family owned company, we are committed to offering our consumers the best tea with the highest quality ingredients, as well as a great flavor experience. This involves constant review of our products and ingredients and looking for potential ways to improve them.
In the case of our Raspberry Royale tea, our goal was to have a more enhanced berry taste. We thought the all-natural raspberry we are now using had a more natural raspberry flavor but are so sorry to hear you do not like it as much as the previous recipe.
Please know we honor your opinion and can only hope that you can give the new recipe another try.
Me again, so while it's ok flavorwise, it's not as good as I remember, and I now have eight boxes of it.
