Prepare 1 gallon of refreshing Lipton Iced Tea. Place 2 Lipton Iced Tea Bags in a clean container for each gallon of iced tea desired. Pour 1 gallon of cold/iced water over tea bag(s) and brew 3 to 5 minutes. Sweeten to taste.

Answer: Sure thing. I tend to use room temp water but, either works. I use 2 bags to 2 quarts only cuz I like to speed the process up..

I love the fact that I can buy this without signing up for prime pantry, have this delivered to my doorstep, and get a great price. My husband only drinks this tea. Works perfectly with using cold water; however, we use two pitchers in our fridge... one to use now, and the other is the refill that we refill with hot water to make the tea slightly stronger. Not necessary, but it helps!

I swished the bags around but the color did not darken, and the stuff in the pitcher had no Tea flavor. Complete fail. We drink copious amounts of ice tea all year round and this is by far our favorite tea bag for the iced tea. And it's so easy. Just place the tea bags in the cold pitcher and let it sit. I realize that there are already a lot of positive reviews for this tea but I enjoy the product so much that I'd like to add my own as well. I think it's safe to say that most of us have had the instant iced tea mixes that are more along the lines of a Kool-Aid style drink. They say "tea" in their name - and they are somewhat brown in color - but they don't really taste much like real tea at all. This tea is very different than those powdered mixes - basically because it's real tea. Add to that the convenience of not having to boil water in order to brew (like you do with other tea bags) and Lipton definitely has a winner with this one.

Iced tea is my favorite drink but I rarely made it simply because of the hassle of boiling water and then waiting for the tea to cool down before drinking. Now, I can have iced tea anytime with no hassle. I use the recommended amount of tea bags (1 bag per quart / 4 bags per gallon) but I definitely let it steep longer than the recommended 3 minutes. I leave the bags in the gallon pitcher for an hour or so....remove the bags....add a teaspoon of liquid Stevia in order to sweeten....put the lid back on the pitcher & give it a few shakes. Perfect iced tea every time!

I agree with a few other reviewers that the bags do often leak and many leaves end up at the bottom of the pitcher. Lipton really needs to fix this problem.

Great concept. However, problem is with the bags - are they using "thinner" paper? I tried "ice tea" bags first, that you brew briefly. I don't know if I am squeezing the bags too hard (when I remove from pitcher) but they broke, causing loose tea in pitcher. Tried "cold brew" - same thing! Bags appear fine in box; box was sealed in cellophane, undamaged. I would rather go back to the original tea bags and brew! At least they didn't break!

I've been drinking Lipton Cold Brew for several years now, and honestly, it's one of my favorite drinks. All you have to do is soak a tea bag in a pitcher of cold water for a few minutes, add a little sugar according to your tastes (although, really, you could drink it without any) and you're good to go!

Although Lipton also offers Cold Brew bags for individual glasses, I find that's kind of a pain, if you drink any real amount. It's much easier to brew an entire pitcher and put it in your fridge, instead of bothering with individual glasses.

We are quite the tea drinkers in our household. In the past we have purchased dedicated tea makers, used dedicated coffee makers for brewing and even placed containers in the windows to make sun tea throughout the year. While the flavor of a good brewed tea is tough to beat, we are very happy with the cold brew. The easy brewing format is quite possibly the best part. I think our older dedicated hot water based brewing devices are feeling lonely.

Looking in the cabinet we are getting close to our next bulk purchase of tea. We highly recommend the cold brew products in both pitcher and individual cup sizes. Amazon makes the purchase smooth and easy too.

I used to love love love this tea in the Family size bags. Then they changed it. They claimed that it was the same amount of tea only in a smaller bag. Rubbish! I still make it in the same jar but it requires 2 or 3 bags instead of just one. It WAS perfect, so why did they change it?

Quick and easy way to make ice tea! Wish they would come out with Green tea cold brew too! In the summer I have 2 gallons going at all times. So easy to do, just drop the bags in the pitcher, put in fridge and soon it is a great tasting ice tea!!

I love tea, and I prefer brewing my tea with loose leaf tea leaves if I have the time, but I must confess for ease and convenience this tea can't be beat....three minutes max. No cooling period necessary, and no melted ice cubes to immediately dilute your tea when you need to serve it right away. I grew up on the powdered stuff they call instant tea which really has very little resemblance to the taste of real tea, and it's full of chemicals. I prefer real tea, and the choice of whether to sweeten it or not. Thanks Lipton.

The only tip I will offer is to compress the bags well when time is up to get all the tea from the bags, otherwise, it may end up being too weak for you. I also use Blue Agave to sweeten my tea. All natural and good ice tea within a matter of minutes.

TJ : Coldbrew is not a good flavor, and it's no substitute for the standard Lipton Family Size bags.

Honestly, this product tastes like bad instant tea in a tea bag... which is what it has to be to brew in cold water. It's almost a bitter taste, bad-diner-style tea.

We've been drinking standard Nestle's family size teabags for decades. Now, most grocery stores near us seem to be stocking only the Cold Brew, as if it's a substitute for regular family size bags.

I'm sure this must be a Lipton reaction to the market in the last few years, and Lipton is short-cutting for financial reasons. Sadly, I won't be able to buy this, and we're trying other options, trying to keep us in the same price range, and same or similar product flavor, from other tea purveyors as well.
