Questions about Tasty Decaf 70 Pyramid Tea Bags
Q:
Where is this tea made?
Answer: Good question. Nowhere on the box is the source mentioned though there is a bold "Fully Rainforest Alliance Certified Tea" label. I would guess it is grown in China, India, Kenya, or Sri Lanka. Wherever it is grown PG Tips is the best black tea available IMHO rivaled only by Robert Roberts from Ireland and Dammann from France. My wife is a flight attendant and she brings me tea from all over the world but the only one I pay for is PG Tips.
Answer: Hi ... It is packed in England. where the actual leaves are grown I don't know. We are located in New York and we sell this brand of tea and depending where you are located it would take no longer than a week to get to you.
Answer: It's a black tea
Answer: Actual English PG Tips.... Packaged in England and shipped from England (which is why you wait about a month for delivery*, this IS the famous 'cuppa' from Britain) as for where exactly the leaves are grown, i don't know just that they are fair trade and rain-forest allegiance certified and sustainable grown. *Worth the wait for this tea....it is delicious.
Answer: The tea is grown in kenya
Answer: If you would like the website, as it looks like you have where it is grown and where it is packaged, it's www.pgtips.co.uk - the company is Unilever UK, PG tips, Freepost ADM3940, London SW1A 1YR
Q:
what is the "best by" date on this product?
Answer: I don't pay much attention to expiration dates on tea. It is my opinion that as long as it is stored in a cool dry place or in a container with a good seal it can be kept indefinitely. Again this is only my opinion.
Answer: Actually I can’t tell you. We have used all the tea. I love it! It is also a good price
Answer: I no longer have the box, so I cannot tell you. Perhaps you can check with PG Tips.
Answer: March 2020
Q:
How much does the new 70 count box weigh? I'm currious to know if it's over or under 210g.
Answer: The new box 70 count weighs 203 grams.
Answer: the 80 count box weighs 229.6g
Answer: I bought the 80 bag size. It weighs 232 grams. Hope this helps.
Q:
Is this a rebranding of “pg tips evening blend”, or just straight decaf? if the latter, anyone know where i can get the evening blend?
Answer: Sorry, I have never seen an evening blend here in the UK
Answer: As far as I know it's decaf and I say this because on the box that was shipped to me from the UK there was a mail-in promotion aimed at pregnant tea drinkers and it sounded like this tea was popular among the pregnant women in the UK.
Q:
Does this make good iced te?
Answer: I have only occasionally used it for iced tea and am trying to remember. It makes an excellent hot cup of decaf tea. So, I would assume that it would be equally good for iced tea,
Answer: As a Brit I have never had iced tea. This is the best tea on the planet so I should imagine it would make excellent iced tea
Answer: I have been drinking PGtips tea for over 50 years and I still think its the best for hot tea. Even the Decaf is great , no difference in taste. Having said that although I am not a ice tea drinker. I think it would be too strong for Ice tea.
Q:
Is this made with the new formula (printed on inside flap of packaging) and is this made in UK but distributed from New Jersey?
Answer: The tea came from the UK. It takes over a month to arrive, but quite a savings compared to costs in local stores. I don't know it it's a different formula. It tastes the same as it has for years. It's the only tea I have been drinking for about 10 years.
Answer: Mine came directly from the U.K. Don't know if it is a new formula.
Q:
`th whats the total number of tea bags in the box is it 240 or 80?
Answer: Hi. There are 80 bags per box. There are 3 boxes in this listing creating a total of 240 bags. Hope this helps. Jo
Answer: 80 tea bags per box-3 box total is 240 tea bags.
Answer: There are 70 teabags in each box as it state's ×3= 210 tea bags.
Answer: 80 in each box X 3 boxes = 240 total bags
Answer: 3 boxes each with 80 so 240 teabags
Answer: different boxes have different amount of bags
Answer: 240
Q:
as of May 2018, what is the expiration date?
Answer: No
Q:
How much hot water should i use per 1 teabag ? how long should i leave a teabag in a mug ? help me, i don’t know how to make tea.
Answer: Normally 7 to 10 oz water should be fine per tea bag, If you would like little stronger tea. Leave the tea bag for about 2 to 3 minutes in a mug.
Answer: I usually do about 12-16 ounces of hot water and leave the tea bag in the water for 2 minutes, then stir and add sugar (or honey) and creamer (or milk).
Answer: Make sure the water is boiling before pouring it over the teabag which has already been placed in a mug. Leave for about 2 minutes before removing the tea bag. English people often pour a little milk into the mug after making the tea. Experiment to see if you would like the tea to be stronger or weaker by varying the length of time the tea bag is left in the mug.
Answer: Hi. Normally one bag per full mug is fine, it doesn't have to be exact. I normally let it brew for around 3 mins, again no need to be exact. Enjoy your cuppa.
Answer: I use one bag per mug, no matter the size, and steep for 4 minutes. I set a digital timer.
Answer: Hello, please reach out to our team at Consumer.services@Unilever.com so that we can give you some in-depth information regarding this. We look forwarding to assisting you!
Answer: read instructions on the box!!
Q:
What is the expiration date on this product as of March 2018
Answer: The expiration date on the tea I purchased is 4/2020
Q:
What is the expiration date on this tea?
Answer: It is on the bottom of the box, and is expressed as follows: “BEST BEFORE END 01/2021”
Answer: It is October 2021 As per today
Answer: 4/21......the best Decaf...receive much quicker from the British Shop...about a week or less.
Q:
What is the process used to take out the caffeine for pg tips decaf?
Answer: The answer I got was that they use a "solvent". Not the answer I was hoping for. I will not be buying any PG Tips Decaf anymore.
Answer: I'm sad to see this. Unfortunately, most do use a solvent to remove the caffeine. I would like to find one that tastes as good as this and doesn't use a chemical.
Q:
What is the current expiration date
Answer: I keep tea bags in covered jar. Never had problem with strength or taste. I love PG Tips. Buy by the case, so have them for long time. I once read tea strength and taste keep very well if stored in jar in cool dark place. Hope this helps you.
Q:
Can you tell me the nickel content of the tea? I'm being put on a low nickel diet; some tea is high and others low, so I need to know the μg per cup
Answer: It doesn't mention anything about nickel on the box, but does suggest that if you have questions you can call 877-851-0222 or check on their website www.pgtipsusa.com
Q:
How much caffeine is in a cup?
Answer: From the article, “The Truth About Caffeine”: British study looked at 200 cups prepared by consumers going about their normal brewing routines. It found that the average caffeine level in the cups of tea (black English style teas) was 40mg vs 105mg in the average cup of drip coffee.
Answer: Caffeine content depends on how long a cup of tea is brewed for. Many thanks
Q:
What is the price for the 80 tea bag, 12 per case option? As listed, it is unclear.
Answer: $9 for 80
Q:

Answer: 01/2018
Answer: I would ask the seller. The ones I bought last Christmas are already gone.
Q:
Is it just me or does this tea taste different, a bit like bergamot, compared to when it was in boxes of 80 teabags (now is 70 teabags)?
Answer: Earl Grey tea has bergamot. I have been using PG Tips for years and it is a strong black tea. I love it, always take my tea with cream. I use the decaf and never noticed any flavor of Bergamot.
Q:
Is this tea non gmo?
Answer: A good question? I am thinking you mean organic; if so nothing on package says organic but PG tips are made from ethical sources - Rainforest Alliance A good cup of tea.

Answer: No. Best tea I’ve ever had!
Answer: Not at all. Love the decaf PG Tips
Answer: no - I should wash the cup again
Answer: No, not at all!
Answer: Not at all.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Are these pyramid tea bags with more tea than a conventional bag or not?? Amazon title says pyramid, but picture of box does not.
Answer: My guess is that it’s the same amount of tea as a regular tea bag just by looking at them side by side. I’m not certain. The tea taste really good though.
Answer: I do not believe that there is more tea in the pyramid tea bags, but I do know that I only use one tea bag for a 10 ounce cup of tea. I like my tea strong and formerly used two Lipton tea bags. I use one tea bag and do not steep the tea for much more than two minutes unless I am making a pitcher of tea. I no longer use Lipton.
Answer: I’ve not had the decaf tea but I think the pyramid bags do hold a little more tea in general.
Answer: I dont know quantity wise but the flavor is definitely as strong as the round bags
Answer: It’s generous normal British
Q:
Is this decaf or regular tea please?
Answer: This is a regular tea. PG tips does come in a decaf, but it will specify that it is decaf. Otherwise, you can assume it is regular tea. Hope this helps.
Answer: It was regular tea. It was an excellent deal and quick delivery.
Answer: regular
Q:
Seller: I placed my order April 6, due May 15. As of May 19 I have not received my order. Is there any way to track it once it arrives in the US?
Answer: Hi. You will need to contact the seller directly regarding this. Simply head to your orders in your Amazon account and click on Contact Seller at the side of the correct order. All the best. Jo
Q:
Do these boxes come with a cuppa code on them? I know the ones in stores do but I was just wondering if the amazon boxes do.
Answer: I've not noticed such a code. I don't have my box now, since once I open it, I double Zip-Lock half of them and ZipLock the others, except for a weeks supply which goes into a relatively airtight Tea Canister.
Answer: It does not appear that the boxes from Amazon have the Cuppa code promotion on them. Sorry.
Q:
How many total tea bags with this offer, please? Total 240 tea bags in 6 boxes of 40 each?
Answer: You answered your own question.
Q:
Does anyone know how much caffeine/bag? Realizing it's decaf but there is still some ... thanks
Answer: I am not sure how much caffeine is in each bag but I know that I am sensitive to caffeine and only drink it in the morning but I can have a cup of decaf at nite and it doesn't effect my sleep.
Answer: I Just read the box, no information. I can't have caffeine anymore and I haven't had any problems. Best decaf tea on the planet. I'm a Brit and won't drink anything else.
Answer: Well, all I know is that it is considerably Less than the typical black tea. We drink it after 5 pm. And, it still has a nice full flavor, which many decaf teas don't possess.
Answer: There is no info on the box but I do know this tea is quite popular with pregnant women in the UK and the company has had promotions for merchandise geared for these women.
Q:
Is the 80 per box in the 6 pack decaf or regular tea?
Answer: I don't know the answer to your specific question. Normally there are 40 in regular PG Tip box & 70 in the Decaf PG Tips. I primarily buy the DECAF in 3 pack from Amazon as unable to find in a local grocery stores.
Answer: This may be a silly question —as the box clearly states in the bottom left hand corner that it is black tea.
Answer: You can get either one…I believe the the 70 pack is decaf and this one regular. Would say DECAF if so…the best tea
Q:
Is there plastic in the tea bag material?
Answer: the tea bag is in a perforated paper bag. Not plastic.
Answer: I had never heard of this, but according to google, yes. https://www.countryliving.com/uk/create/food-and-drink/news/a3291/plastic-tea-bags-environment/
Answer: No I have bought this for my wife for over 25 years and never have we had any plastic in the tea bag. Enjoy the brew
Answer: No plastic.
Answer: No plastic
Answer: Not in the ones I bought
Answer: Very good question to ask. I would’ve curious to know myself.
Answer: No
Answer: No.
Answer: No
Q:
Is this 3 boxes of 80 as per picture or 3 boxes of 70 as per description
Answer: there are 3 boxes that arrive. It is confusing but yes three separate boxes.

Q:
does box artwork look same as advertised picture green field and blue sky?
Answer: O, not for the 180 count box. It's the PG tips logo on a plain white background. Tea looks tastes the same as what comes comes in the smaller count boxes with green field and blue field background. It's the same product.
Answer: No, it comes in the UK style box, which is white and has the price in British pounds printed around the top.
Answer: Yes

Answer: So sorry, I can't as I do not have the box. I haven't run into any problem with old tea yet.
Product reviews of Tasty Decaf 70 Pyramid Tea Bags
Katie C. : Simply Adore This Tea!
I adore this decaf tea. This is the first decaf that is actually robust & hearty. I will be ordering more. Order early, though, because the delivery on this item is extremely slow - 30 to 45 days.
GinnyT : Love the tea! Mega pleased with the seller!
I love this tea! I drank regular PG Tips for years and had to cut the caffeine. Other decaf teas are weak and wimpy. When you add milk to them, they look like grey water in your cup. Not so with this tea! It looks and tastes like a good cuppa!
Also, cudos and 5+ stars to this seller! I was given an arrival time period of March 17-30. It arrived in one week! I'm so very pleased and will order from them from now on!
Sandie1117 : Very Disappointed With Lack of Freshness.
I have never been disappointed with PG Tips Tea before, but I ordered this 3-pack thinking it was a good deal. The tea was stale and didn't have hardly any flavor at all. Very disappointing as we love PG Tea, both regular and decaffeinated.
JDA : Not like caffeinated PG Tips
I was hoping for a good decaf tea for the evening. This tea is better than some other decaf black teas, but it still tastes bad. I would recommend spending your time (long wait for trans Atlantic transport) and money on something else.
Jeff and Beth D : Great price!
I got addicted to PG Tips during a visit to friends in England many years ago and have been drinking it since. You pay a fortune for it in specialty stores so I was happy to start buying it from Amazon for much less money. I like to buy the multiple smaller packages so that they don't get stale. I've never had a crushed or damaged package in the 20+ orders I've placed over the last few years.
M. A. Flora : Great find.
Could not find anywhere and then found them on Amazon. Great buy for theses great tasting tea bags.
Eusebius : Excellent even though it's decaf
Many in my family are tea drinkers but I never cared for it since I really love my coffee. One of them got me to try PG Tips and it has converted me. I like PG Tips so much that I drink the regular PG Tips during the day (after I have my morning cuppa joe, of course) and switch to the decaf version in the evening. The decaf is really flavorful and satisfying and believe me, there is no comparison to other brands you find in a supermarket.
I bought this as an Amazon Prime product and I hope Amazon starts selling it directly again.
James W. Gray : Actually shipped from England
Could not believe it was shipped from England for "free" with Amazon prime. I've had this tea before purchased here in the USA, and enjoyed it. This tasted bitter. I've read reviews online and the Brittish say that varieties sold in the USA are weak tasting. Guess I'm just an American with American tastes. It did have the very nice pyramid nylon tea bags but without strings.
Backup : PG Tips Black Tea Pyramids Tea BaGs
What a sublime tea! Great taste and quite refreshing!
rebecca : love the brand
I love this brand of tea but needed to switch to the decaf. Shipping takes a while (when you get used to 2 day shipping!) but order far enough ahead and it's not an issue. tastes just like the original but I do find it's not quite as strong.
Bbb : Great every day tea
There are pretty much two kinds of tea - expensive tea that you save for guests or those days when you need to feel special and every day tea that you can pound back 2-6 cups of and not worry too much about the price. I keep both in my house, and both have their place and function but PG Tips is my everyday tea... and despite being mercifully light on the wallet (6 cent per bag is what I paid on Amazon and is cheaper than most American bagged tea) its actually a pretty good tea. So much in fact that I have had house guests prefer it over my more expensive teas. I won't pretend that it is anywhere equal to some of the truely fine teas I have had the joy of tasting but those are special occasion teas and PG tips is an every day working person's tea. It is also a versatile tea as well - tasting good with/without sugar, milk, iced, hot, etc. Many teas only taste good prepared one way, whilst PG tips is good in a variety of ways so it can suit my mood.
Pat : Oh yes PG tips
Love the English tea bags
Revives me when I’m thirsty flavor very tasty can’t go wrong for the money
Rainkatt : A good strong cuppa!
PG Tips has been my favorite tea since the 70s when I first had it in the UK. After heart surgery I had to give up caffeine and every decaf tea I tried was like someone's discarded old tea bag! I tried this one by PG Tips and found it be so close to the regular I couldn't tell the difference. A good strong cuppa!
Pat : Oh yes PG tips
Love the English tea bags
Revives me when I’m thirsty flavor very tasty can’t go wrong for the money
Emeline : HORRIBLE!!! Epic FAIL on PG's new blend!
The white box is pictured here, but the box that I received was the blue box sold in the US not the white box formulated especially for the British market. The monkey inside the lid said it was a "new blend..same great taste". Oh my, he was wrong there. what have they done to the wonderful PG tips we have grown to know and love??? This new blend is absolutely AWFUL, and almost undrinkable. It tasted bitter, stale and artificial with a really BAD cardboardy aftertaste. Not that they care, but they just lost me as a customer. I am not throwing my money away again for this awful tasting tea.
Dustin : .06 Per Cup = Winning!!!
There are over 50 reviews already on here that will tell you why PG Tips is an amazing tea and why you should buy it, so I thought I would take a different approach. My story is that I was walking through the grocery store looking to buy some standard cheapo tea (Bigelow or something similar) and the red flag stating "Englands No1 tea" seemed to jump out off the box at me. Maybe this is a stereotype, but I've always figured that England was known for consuming a lot of tea. So in my opinion, if it was good enough for the them, it was more than good enough for me. I tried it, and LOVED it. I loved it so much that I found myself buying it WAY too frequently at my local grocery store paying their high prices. When I saw this on amazon, I knew that buying in bulk had its advantages, but at SIX CENTS a teabag, HOLY COW!!!! Winning!!!
There is nothing cheaper in life that has made me happier than waking up and enjoying a great cup of tea at a great price.
Yummmmm!
Susan Cox : P & G decaf tea has authentic flavor
I love the flavor of P & G decaf tea. The full flavor is very satisfying and I have a cup each night after supper. The pyramid bags steep very well. The price is very reasonable. I recommend this tea!
The Baroness : and I couldn't be happier! So many of my British friends recommended PG ...
This arrived a lot faster than projected, and I couldn't be happier! So many of my British friends recommended PG Tips to me over the years that I had to try it. I can't have caffeine so this box of 80 pyramid decaf PG Tips tea bags is perfect for me. This tea is made by Unilever, who also makes Lipton tea here in The USA. They taste very similar - however, even with the shipping it was less money for me to buy this product from this seller here on Amazon that it was to buy an equivalent amount of decaf Lipton Tea tea bags at my local grocery store! I've tried many British teas and so far this is one of my favorites. I'll definitely buy it again from this seller here on Amazon!
Pat : Oh yes PG tips
Love the English tea bags
Revives me when I’m thirsty flavor very tasty can’t go wrong for the money
Amazon Customer : Nice black tea flavor
It's comparable to Twining's 'Breakfast' tea but I miss the tag for when I'm just pouring boiling water into a cup and
I'm not brewing a pot of tea. The tag-less bags are better for the environment, so I'll accept it.
seaBass : super good
This is the most tasty decaf I have ever had.
I am now officially old.
I cannot take caffeinated tea to bed with me anymore.
Now I have to switch to decaf around 5pm.
This is the best tasting decaf I have tasted for both hot tea with a splash of milk and iced tea.
Deus Malleos : Always great!
We love PG Tips and this was a great deal.
Carol G : GREAT DECAF!
I have searched for years for the perfect decaf tea, so when I saw this, having used P.G. Tips regular, I quickly wanted to give it a try. They lived up to the standards of their regular tea. This is simply THE BEST decaf black tea I've had!
Deus Malleos : Always great!
We love PG Tips and this was a great deal.
A. Minton : Makes me feel like the Queen of England
After using Lipton for most of my life, I discovered PG Tips, a staple in most English cupboards. PGT is what real tea is supposed to be. First, it is always fresh, where I've noticed that grocery store (USA) brand are often stale. Besides the flavor, what really sold me on PGT is the strength of the tea. For example, in my ice tea maker, two teaspoons of PGT makes a perfect pot of tea, and I like my ice tea strong enough to stand up against the ice cubes. (I learned from my grandmother that the best ices tea is hot tea poured over the ice.) Living in the South, I drink my tea iced 12 months a year, but PGT was made for tea time and is perfect brewed in my grandmother's vintage tea pot, as well. Add milk and sugar and some "biscuits," and I feel as if I were living on "the other side of the pond."
PG Tips tea (loose or t-bags) is one of the little luxuries in life and Amazon makes it possible for me to enjoy quality and taste. I find that when you factor in the tiny amount of PGT it takes to make my tea (as opposed to having to use three or four times the amounts of grocery store brands) PGT is actually less expensive than Lipton. Amazon's vendor makes it easy to keep PGT in my cupboard. It is always shipped to me within a few days of placing my order. And always fresh.
Tip: Try mixing a few PGT with a tropical or fruit flavor tea. Delicious.
The Keebler : really like the tea but love the box!
I love this box design, so much easier than struggling with those other types of boxes. This tea could be a tad stronger but i think its stronger than most decaf's so i'm pretty happy!
Robert H. : MY box looked like it was dropped in a puddle
It came covered in mud. I threw most of it out. I didnt think the tea tasted that good, and I picked the bags out from the center of the box. Shoulda asked for a refund. This really happened to me tho.
Black Bear : Tora Foods UK - Our New Store
Tora Foods UK exceeded mine and my families expectations. We usually order a year's worth of PG Tips Decaf at a time, and we usually fail to realize our supply is nearly run out until it is too late, resulting in missing our much loved daily tea time. This time was no different. But thankfully, our order arrived a month earlier than anticipated, ahead of Christmas. Thank you Tora Foods UK.
Deus Malleos : Always great!
We love PG Tips and this was a great deal.
Katie C. : Simply Adore This Tea!
I adore this decaf tea. This is the first decaf that is actually robust & hearty. I will be ordering more. Order early, though, because the delivery on this item is extremely slow - 30 to 45 days.
Emeline : HORRIBLE!!! Epic FAIL on PG's new blend!

I am not throwing my money away again for this awful tasting tea.
Charlene Kasian : Great every-day tea
It has a full-bodied taste, and even without any sugar it's not too strong or bitter. Americans might be attached to the idea of a flat square individually wrapped bag, so they might be put off by the appearance of tea bags chucked randomly into a box. But the 3-d pyramid shape is better because: a ) it allows more flow thru it, and b) there is less waste since no strings, staples or individual packets for each bag... I just toss the used bag in the compost.
Steven V. Hight : Weaker than regular, but no "decaf taste"
We drink black British tea every night, strong, with a couple of splashes of milk. Unfortunately, caffeine started affecting me, so I had to mostly give it up (I can still have a morning cup, but anything after noon is likely to keep me up at night). Decaf tea was to be my sorry fate, and sorry it was. I'd tried four brands of decaf tea before finding this one (and Yorkshire Decaf, prepared as below). At first, I wasn't too impressed with its more anemic flavour, but at least it didn't have that "decaf taste"; then I tried using two bags. That did it. Now I use two bags of decaf while my wife uses one bag of proper tea, then make it a little milkier than I used to do to reduce the bitterness. Afterward, I usually have to pop it in the microwave for a few seconds to bring it back to proper drinking temperature, but it's worth it.

This version of P & G Tips' decaf tea has outstanding flavor. P & G Tips is my favorite brand of dark tea but recently switched to decaf and was not crazy about their old version. This newer one is so good I don't miss my regular caffeinated tea anymore. Thank you P&G Tips!
Corgiluv : Terrific Taste!
This is such good decaf tea. I thought I would never drink decaf tea, but I discovered that I need to limit my caffeine consumption or I can’t sleep at night. PG Tips decaf lets me have my afternoon tea without disrupting my sleep later. Thank you PG Tips!
Pat : Oh yes PG tips
Love the English tea bags
Revives me when I’m thirsty flavor very tasty can’t go wrong for the money
Sassy : Great Tea
If you are tired of wimpy tea, then this is the tea for you. All the American teas lack robustness especially the decaf ones. The decaf PG tea is not carried in any supermarkets I have been in, at least on the East Coast. I have been using and enjoying this decaf tea for years. I had to order it from England for awhile and wait weeks to get it, but now Amazon carries it and you can get it in a few days. I have introduced it to other decaf tea drinkers and they won't drink anything else now either. Hands down the best decaf tea around.
Jude Matas : Good ,strong decaf.????????
Nice and strong unlike other decals.wish they would’ve made the decaf bag more identifiable.I drink regular pg tips as well and hard to distinguish between the two.????????
P. Caldwell : has a "flowery" overtone I don't care for
I like tea to taste like tea and this has kind of a flowery note to it. I'm going to call this one a miss. I probably won't even use much more of it unless I am completely out of any decaf tea bags. The Tetley British Blend decaf tea is a solid entry into the decaf tea space and I will be sticking with that.
Susan Cox : P & G decaf tea has authentic flavor
I love the flavor of P & G decaf tea. The full flavor is very satisfying and I have a cup each night after supper. The pyramid bags steep very well. The price is very reasonable. I recommend this tea!
JDA : Not like caffeinated PG Tips
I was hoping for a good decaf tea for the evening. This tea is better than some other decaf black teas, but it still tastes bad. I would recommend spending your time (long wait for trans Atlantic transport) and money on something else.
Wine & Proses : We drink our tea like the English- with milk and sugar
For many years. I only drank tea from Lipton tea bags. We were a Lipton family. I f you read my reviews, you'll find a common thread about brand loyalty. We drink our tea like the English- with milk and sugar. But several years ago, something was not right with Lipton- the taste was different and it was not good. I was the last family member to abandon the brand, it was a diaspora, we all branched out to try different English teas to find a replacement.
This one happened by accident. I had tried high-end loose tea, English Breakfast tea, Irish Breakfast tea, popular brands, obscure brands, but nothing was the taste I was looking for: a clean, sharp, not too fragrant, strong black tea. I was staying with friends and they made me a cup of tea with P&G Tips. It was revelatory.
Along the way to my tea discovery, I learned quite about about tea leaves. It turns out that the tips are the premium part of the tea plant, delivering the best flavor and fragrance. I don't purport to be a tea connoisseur, just a fan of a sharp, strong cup of black tea. I've made many, many cups of P&G Tips tea and I'm really, really happy. Scone anyone?
N. Snyder : Good decaf option.
Best decaf out there and I’ve tried many. Just let it sit a little longer than regular tea.

What a sublime tea! Great taste and quite refreshing!
amzn_mbr_2621 : PG Tips - Best of the best!
I became hooked on this tea after the first time I tried it. If you make iced tea it will be cloudy. Why do we have flavorless black tea in the states? Our tea basically makes brown colored water.
PG Tips tea is flavorful and packed with caffeine! I love it in the daytime but I stop consumption of it late in the afternoon, otherwise I toss and turn for hours trying to go to sleep. They do make a caffeine-free tea but I have not tried it yet.
All in all - yes, I would recommend this tea to anyone wanting to taste real tea.
Eddie Wannabee : Tea Time
With or without milk, this tea is a fine addition. We use large cups (about 24oz) and in no time this unusual tea bags will turn the water a very deep dark color. Does have its share of caffeine, and that is always a good thing. I prefer a good tea to a good coffee, but I still drink both. The deal was very fair and now I can see why in England this particular brand has so many followers. This is an everyday tea that can be brewed strong, and if on top of everything it has some benefits like antioxidants or whatever, then the merrier. From the picture in the box one can tell that it is a little diluted with milk. In our place we use evaporated milk and it is really tasty that way. During the cold season it requires some kind of pastry, cookies, or panettone to really get the full effect. 4 Stars, for sure!
Catherine : My favorite black tea
Great tasting breakfast tea; even better than Yorkshire Gold, which is also wonderful.
Amazon Customer : This stuff tasted JUST LIKE TEA!
I put these tea bags, one at a time, in freshly boiled water, to make tea. I found that they made good-tasting tea, tea that tasted like black tea with caffeine. I found it good.
you can compare the product price from Costco, wayfair, bestbuy, lowes, target, homedepot, Walmart, ebay, amazon to find the best price for you
