Directions

Ice tea: 1 Tea bag per 8 oz. of water. Bring fresh, cold water to a rolling boil. Gently pour water over tea bag. Steep 3-5 minutes dependent on taste. Remove tea bag. Refrigerate within 1 hour. Sun Tea - 1 Gallon: 9 Tea bags for each gallon of water. Place tea bags in gallon jar filled with water. Cap jar loosely. Place in sunshine. Steep 3-4 hours. Remove tea bags. Refrigerate within 1 hour. Discard left over tea after 24 hours. Hot Tea: Steep 1 tea bag in 8 oz. of boiling water for 3-5 minutes.

zachus : NOT FAMILY SIZE!!! Be Careful

I love Luzianne Tea, I've tried others but I'm from the south and a HUGE sweet tea person and very picky about it to. It has to be fresh brewed and not sour at all, sweetened with real sugar or cane sugar and just the right amount (smile).

I bought these for my tea maker but wasn't paying attention that they were NOT family size, these are the small individual size that you would want for a single cup, I donated them to a church and re-ordered the Family Size ones. So I'm writing this review hoping to help others not make the same mistake I did in haste (smile).

I never believed that Luzianne was better than Lipton for Iced Tea, but after getting pitcher after pitcher of bitter tea and trying everything, I wanted to try the Luzianne. However, since I moved to the west cost I can't find it in stores here, I ordered from Amazon. I wish they would let me order in a smaller quanity, This will last me a long time.

i drink this tea also. i can make some very delicious tea with this luzianne tea. i had to give it a try after my neighbor bragged about it being a favorite. i also mix tea bags too. i make my tea in a percolator and i sometimes add this tea to the "other" tea to kick it up a notch! i am very happy with this purchase and like always i wait until the price is right and grab a good supply of it.

For a tea drinker - your brand is kind of sacred....and I took a big chance based on other people's review of Luzianne brand for the iced tea maker....but I really like it! When you get really good, brewed iced tea in a restaurant....this is what is tastes like - full and doesn't get bitter if you make it stronger. I love Luzianne. Drink it hot every morning and make iced tea with it. Smooth not bitter like liptons. Lighter flavor when used for hot tea vs English Breakfast or awake by Tazo. But for iced tea, there really is no comparison and I drink about a half gallon of iced tea everyday and have tried them all.

I was normally a Red Rose drinker, but in recent years the quality has declined. I've been trying other brands, and Luzianne is my least favorite thus far.

I was interested to find out if Luzianne is really the best for iced tea, since I drink my tea iced almost exclusively. But no, the flavor is harsh but not even full-bodied. I used more sweetener and lemon than usual to mask the nasty flavor.

The one pro is that these bags, at least at my supermarket, were cheaper than both Red Rose and Lipton.

I'm a tea drinker and like a lot of different hot teas. When it comes to iced tea, though, I'm very picky.

I've tried Nestea, Lipton, Tetley, etal, but the smoothest and best is Luzianne for iced tea. It's not as "musky" as Tetley, nor sharp as Lipton, nor fake and stale as Nestea. It has a bright, smooth taste that stands alone easily over ice yet still shines through when used as Southern sweet tea with lemon added. I've tried it with tap water in Memphis, Little Rock, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Las Vegas and have no complaints.

In fact, I like Luzianne so much that, when I couldn't find it in local grocery stores in Las Vegas, I ordered it from Amazon.

I came across a recipe for sweet tea and everyone kept saying how this was the best tea to use. Being from the Northwest, I hadn't ever heard of this brand before, but now I'm promoting it! My husband loves going south just for their sweet iced tea. I googled on how to make perfect southern iced tea and its great. They even recommended this brand. I never thought that there was so many ways that tea can taste bad: seeping to long, to short or even not letting it cool on its own before refrigeration. Taste great !

I recently purchased the ice tea blend of tea bags. I did not pour the boiling water over the tea bags, I simply dipped the bags into boiling water and let it steep for several minutes. As I was pouring the tea into a pitcher I saw the boiling pot was full of grounds. I have used 8 bags from the box so far and everyone of them did the same thing. Although I really like the flavor I am going to switch brands. There is nothing worse than a Brit finding grounds in their tea.

I came from a tea drinking family. I love my tea. (Hate coffee.) Over the years, I have drunk just about every brand out there and by far Luzianne tea is the best. In recent years, I have had to get this tea from the Cajun Grocer in New Orleans (I live in Central Florida). I drink my tea hot, and I do find it troublesome that just about all of the Luzianne tea boxes are marked "Iced tea". I just don't drink it this way; I only drink hot tea; no matter the time of year. I would like it if they would mark the boxes more clearly for "family" size and "individual" size tea bags (as I have purchased the over sized tea bags by accident and don't like them; I want the 100 count individual tea bags only, please. And I would like the same for the decaff tea bags, as well. I drink them both; caffeinated and decaff. However, if you have never tried Luzianne domestic tea before, do yourself a favor and do, because it is the most delicious tea out there; very round, full, with no bite to it. Wonderfully refreshing :D
