Answer: It is an excellent "Instant" green tea powder, I found the Ingrendients list on UK site because I don't read Japanese... Product Ingredients: Green Tea, Matcha Powder, Dextrin, Cyclodextrin, Vitamin C. I discover this instant tea in Japan, some hotels offer this tea in individual dose in their room. Those individual dose are also available in amazon in pack of 100 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KTB59Q)

However the family owned green tea producers sold their company . I discovered this and I love it ! It's smooth and no bitter after taste .., everything on the package is in Japanese, which I love , and you can put it in cold water and is dissolves! No mess - no fuss !! I love it !

Answer: The blue labels says " also good for cold water " and red labels says " even better taste " So I think red labels are new items. Actually I've tried both of them, the taste same to me. Both of them I love a lot!!!! And cold water or hot water doesn't matter. It is good!!!!

Answer: It's an instant green tea with matcha

Is this made in japan?

Answer: My Japanese skills aren't good enough to tell from the package, but it's a Japanese company and it ships from Japan. Almost all of the tea from Japanese brands and any tea sold in Japan is grown and harvested and everything in Japan, unless it's specifically a chinese brand or type of tea. Ito En is also the biggest tea company in Japan. So, I'm almost absolutely positive the answer is yes.

Answer: Nearly all green tea sold in a Japan was originally sourced from China unfortunately, according to my research. I used to live there and was surprised to find this out. That said, the Japanese companies usually do a very good job on quality control of the products they have made in China.

I bought 4 bags of matcha tea. I was very disappointed. I should have never ordered 4 bags. This matcha tea is of very poor quality. I hope that I can return it. But it is in Japan, it would be costly for me to return it. I am so disappointed and that it did not taste like matcha tea. I opened one bag of this Matcha tea. Other three bags Matcha tea is going to go to trash.

This is a good matcha tea that has a nice 'grassy' taste, yet not in an unpleasant way. It is very mellow and not astringent like some green teas. It can be brewed with hot or cold water since it is matcha with instant green tea.
