Answer: I use it as an instant tea in both cold and hot waters. I experimented with the amount as I don't read Japanese. Started with level 1/2 tsp and 12 ounces water.

Answer: The packaging suggest 1 packet per 100 ml. 16.9 oz would be around 500 ml. If you follow package suggestions you would need 5 packets.

Answer: Mine arrived really quick, not next day like other Prime products but it arrived quickly to our home in rural New England.

Answer: No idea. Contact the merchant.

how do i translate the language to english?

Answer: You could download a translator app. We recently used one in Japan. It had a camera feature that you hold over the words and it (roughly) translates for you.

Answer: This is the downside of purchasing foreign products. Your options: A) Find someone who can read Japanese for you, B) Trust the product description or C) Rely on the microscopic English translation found on the sachets of matcha and the box.

Answer: I don't think you need to. The picture shows what to do: heat the water - the key is not too hot -I use a Keurig and just open the packet into a cup and pour in the hot water. On a Keurig, I use the small cup setting for one packet.

Does anyone know if this can be mixed in cold water or does it have to be brewed in hot water?

Answer: No. Just plain green tea. It's great though. I buy a 12 pack of the bottle kind as well. And use the bottle a couple times with these little packs after I drink the bottle. They are the same but the bottles are expensive. So I still know and feel good about reusing the bottles a few days

Answer: Yes. It is matcha so it will need to be briskly blended to avoid lumps

Answer: The ito-en are not tea bags. They are individual tubes with instant green tea in it. there is another ITO En that is a Blend of Sencha & Matcha Green tea blend. It has 100 tea bags.

Answer: These are not tea bags but packets of tea powder. Prefer this to bags! So much easier to use as they dissolve in hot water or can be added to smoothies, etc.

Answer: Nope, unless you go to the effort of lab testing the product yourself. This is the downside of purchasing foreign products, as translations and ingredient lists can be less than exact.

what does it mean macha blend. Blend means is it a mixture .which part of japan it is coming from.Is it pure matcha or no.

Answer: it is not pure macha. I don't know what part of Japan it is coming from. it is highly concentrated in tubes mixed with something else in there so it wont cake. I had a Japanese friend translate the instructions for me. it said to dilute one tube with one liter of water. I did not like it. my Japanese friend did not lite it either, she said it was too strong. I know she had used one tube and mixed it to make a pound cake. up to you if you will like it or not.

It says made in Japan; I'm assuming Shizuoka prefecture since it is the No. 1 Tea producer in Japan. I'm just guessing.

Answer: First, its Matcha tea not Motcha. Matcha teas supposedly boosts your energy level, your vitality and focus. It has a smooth flavor with a taste like a cabbage/mushroom combination. My wife is diabetic, and since she has started drinking the matcha blend, her sugar level has dropped nearly 15 points, considering she has not changed her eating habits.

Answer: It is really good... but tastes a bit different than the bottled stuff. I don't mix it as strong as the box call for 1 packet to 100 ml. I tend to put 3 packets in a 16 oz water bottle, It has a really nice light green color (like a glass of Matcha) and a smooth green tea taste.

You can find the roasted matcha on Amazon, it comes in smaller packages (50 pcs,-pack)

Answer: I know exactly what you mean. I hated the waste of all of those plastic bottles and thought this would be a solution. They are not the same as the bottled teas. I use two or three packages to increase the strength so the "kick" may be the same but the smooth flavor isn't quite there. It still tastes good and it's practical for travel but not a complete replacement

Answer: if you want that intensity of taste, you might want to try the powder for the "koiagi" (strong flavor)

Answer: I use 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup of water. Depends, on how strong you like your tea. Since, the tea is a powder form.

Answer: Everything is in Japanese. Ingredients: tea (green tea, Matcha tea), dextrin, Vitamin C, Made in Japan. I'm Japanese so I can read them. I don't see sugar on the ingredient list. We drink green tea without adding sugar or any sweetener. :)

I work long hours at a night shift job where the coffee quality can either be passable or horrific and any decent coffee brought in seems to vanish within a day.

This tea was suggested to me by a friend as a healthy way of getting some caffeine in my system and since it was portable I decided to give it a shot.

The package arrived fine, the box didn't look beat up and all the individual packs appeared to be fine.

For a week I took two with me every shift at work and while the caffeine content isn't as high as espresso or coffee, I certainly felt more alive during my shifts. The taste isn't bad though for anyone not familiar with green tea it may take some getting used to.

I would definitely suggest this for anyone wanting green tea on the go. Where I live it's not a common product so always having a little packet in my car or bag has been very convenient.

I had to wait weeks for the package to come from Japan. I was told that the Japanese Postal Services had a delay for all international shipping during the period which I placed the order. I love this macha powder. It has a great flavor. It's easy to mix with hot or cold. I usually use this with cold water since I got the tea leave for hot tea. I think it's better than green tea powder out there which I have try so many of them. If you love to drink cold water with some tea flavor. I highly recommend this tea.

I am Asian and drink only green teas - cups of them everyday, so I have tasted quite a wide variety of green teas. My favorites are Japanese green teas like Sencha or Macha that are not fermented nor roasted. The taste is very fresh and not as strong as the other fermented or roasted teas and the color stays green rather than turn brown so they don't stain my teeth as much.

This one earns extra mark compared to other green teas due to the following;
----- Packaging, it's really easy to keep a couple them in my handbag
----- Easier to make, normally when I use the green tea powder I need to use a spoon to stir it really well, otherwise they clot. This one doesn't do that.

Definitely will order more. The shipping takes a while as it's from Japan.

There was a brand like this locally, but I can no longer purchase it, as it's been discontinued here in the states, so when I saw this, I ordered and find it even better than the U.S brand I was buying. This is small packets of instant Macha Green Tea. Mixes very well in water and the taste is nutty and of medium strength. Nice clean, green powder in each packet and last me quite awhile.100 packets is a great deal for the price, when I purchased. Shipping was very reasonable, considering overseas time to arrive and getting through U.S. customs. I had it in no time. I recommend the brand and the seller.

Delivery - took around 45 days

Directions say 1 packet is 100ml which is 3.5 ounces; I've never ordered a coffee or any drink that small.... And it isn't strong or concentrated like espresso. To get my green tea fix I usually drink 12 ounces which would then be around 4 of these packets. So for me, this box only contains 25 servings (100 packets / 4 packets per 12 ounces). Even in Japan (where this came from) 12ounces green tea is the usual serving size sold in vending machines.

If you're dead set on these, your local asian grocery probably sells the same thing for the same price and won't take 45 days to arrive.

My box was crushed a bit, but the contents are individually sealed packets. They come all the way from Japan. I've been there and this tastes just like the tea from the traditional tea ceremony I participated in while on the Tokyo Tour in 1993. I wouldn't worry about the crushed/open box, UNLESS some of the 100 packets were missing. A great substitute for soda. Easy to keep a few packets in my purse and car. I use 2 packets for a 20 oz bottle of water. Otherwise, a bit weak for me.

I drink green tea almost every day but I love these because I'm too lazy to actually steep tea, so these are great for me. I use 2 packets (it comes with 100 packets) for a mug of tea. If you use small tea cups, 1 packet might be enough, but the bigger your mug, the more packets you'll need. I like that the powder dissolves and there isn't any gritty residue left over as I've experienced with other brands. I also make matcha lattes with this and they turn out ok, if a bit watery. I might have to add a 3rd packet but this took a while to get here so I don't want to use it up too quickly.
