Been buying this tea for quite some time now.

I've seen a review about it having no aroma. I think that is a bit ridiculous. It smells as black tea should.

There was another review about sticks and branches. I've maybe gotten two "branches" out of the 6 or more boxes I've purchased. It is OPA quality, so it's going to be a strong/bold long leaf, which will include some of the stem. Maybe that is what is being mistaken for "branches and sticks".

Overall, I really enjoy this tea. It is a staple in our tea collection.

I've drunk tea my entire life, have never had a cup of coffee. The most simple satisfying tea, to me, is black orange pekoe. This nails it. Plus, it is sold for a great price. Plus, if you like iced tea it works great for that, too.

I came looking for an orange pekoe or pekoe cut black tea because my local stores stopped carrying the brand I've been drinking for years, and shipping from the brand's website was ridiculous.
I don't often drink loose-leaf tea, only a few herbals, but I've got a tea ball, and the reviews on this product convinced me to give it a try. I use only a couple of pinches of the leaves per 12-ounce cup I brew. They expand to fill my tea ball.
The tea is perfect in every way. The taste is never bitter, no matter how hot the water or how long I steep it. There is no astringent aftertaste like some black teas have. It is mild and mellow, yet full-flavored.
I drink 3-4 cups of hot tea every day, and I'm guesstimating that this one-pound bag of tea is going to last me at least 4 months, so this is a great value, too!
Update: I received my first order of this tea on February 2nd and I brewed my last cup out of the bag on June 15th, so it lasted me almost 4 1/2 months. The last cup tasted as a good as the first cup. This is definitely worth buying. Again. And again.

The tea had literally no aroma. It was packed in polyethylene (inside the box), which is not an appropriate packaging for teas.

Tea is good but the bag was opened on the bottom. When I pulled the bag out, tea went all over the kitchen. There is apparently no option for return or exchange. Saved enough to know the flavor is good.

Mongo don't know : Most definitely Orange Pekoe

I love this tea. It is almost whole leaf and never bitter even with an eight minute steep. I'm no connoisseur but the taste is definitely Orange Pekoe plus the price is reasonable. The photo shows the size of the leaves after brewing. (I took the photo with a potato, aka my Kindle, hence the grainy quality.)

edit: 03/09/21 I've gone through three pounds of this tea so far and about to order my forth. Every pound has been of the same great quality.

This is one of the best black tea I have purchased on Amazon. The slogan on the package "Pure Ceylon Tea - Packed in Sri Lanka" is still regarded as a sign of quality throughout the world. It has a golden color, a rich, intense flavor, and strong crisp aroma reminiscent of citrus. I used it straight as well as in my own tea blends. I'm glad I found that brand on Amazon because before I have purchased it in international food store only. If you like Ceylon tea with luxury feel buy this tea.

This bulk tea comes in a well insulated bag. After making some tea, I unrolled some of the tea leaves which is impossible when dry. Every leaf I unrolled was a whole tea leaf. This tea has a sweet wonderful aroma in the package. After brewing, the taste is mild and sweet and has the freshest taste of any tea I have ever had.

The bom looks like if would have been opened and then glued back. The package inside was opened in one corner. Clearly cut with scissor and left opened. How can I trust this is the real product or if it was tampered with? I feel unsafe using this tea. It is not letting me request a return or replacements.

I am a jenny come lately to tea. I grew up with Greek herbal teas and demitasse coffee. Any other tea was the ubiquitous bagged tea you see in the grocery. My first cup of loose leaf brewed tea was from Asian friends I was visiting. That was when I understood the love for tea.

The tea is long leaves, no sticks so far and brews up without bitterness. It stands up to milk and sweetener. I let it steep a little longer and I use a teaspoon per cup plus 1 for the pot. It is even enjoyable plain.

I read the more critical reviews and I suppose I got lucky to some degree with my purchase. Tea production is a pretty labor intensive process. My guess is that quality control is always a challenge.
My only complaint if you will with the product is that the box and bag are not resealable hence the 4 stars. It otherwise is a very drinkable tea.

This tea has the true flavor I was looking for. There are many loose leave teas out there, but this one provide full leaves and great ceylon tea flavor. I will be ordering it again. Bagged teas are a joke compared to this tea
