Answer: I've never used a tea bag more than once. I suppose it can be done but I imagine it doesn't taste as good.

Answer: I've just been making one cup at a time per bag, but I looked into it some and you may be able to make up to a pot of tea with it. It may not be as strong and probably should be steeped a little longer. But please don't save it to reuse later, do it all at once or you might make yourself sick from the the bacteria that would grow after setting a while.

Answer: Yes, they have tags! The string is about 5 or 5 1/2 inches long from teabag to tag. The bags themselves are compostable, and the individual packets of tea are paper, lightly lined with plastic to protect from humidity and the like...The tags are printed with soy-based ink, so if the tag happens to fall in, you are theoretically not ingesting anything too toxic...

After years of research, trial, and error, we are excited to announce that we've found a material made from renewable sources that outperforms our current wrapper. I had the same question when I first purchased this tea, but it is very clear on the box: for ingredients the only thing listed is "organic rooibos." In fact, it even says "No 'natural' flavors or fragrances." The reference to "vanilla" is just a description of how the rooibos tea tastes.

Why are the benefits for this tea?

Answer: Well it is delicious to begin with. It is a herbal organic tea, so no caffeine and it is a natural substance from the earth. I cannot have caffeine and I love rich black teas, I find this tea the most satisfying to substitute my desire for a strong black tea.

Answer: Rooibos is naturally caffeine and calorie free. It contains anti-oxidants, and is rich in minerals. It is very low in tannin, so does not get bitter and is gentle on the stomach. It is also delicious, both sweetened and unsweetened, and makes a very nice iced-tea. Being caffeine free, you can drink it late in the evening without risk of sleeplessness. In my experience, it cannot be over-brewed - increasing brew time simply strengthens the flavor.

Answer: For me, the benefit of rooibos is enjoying something that provides a "tea-like" taste and experience without the tea and caffeine. I have a slight intolerance to tea, so I don't drink real tea every day. Also, I learned that many herbal teas actually have tea in them.

Sorry if I sound skeptical, but does this actually make you sleepy?

Answer: It 'relaxes', but doesn't make you drowsy or sleepy. There is a Celestial Season's Tea called 'Sleepytime' which contains Chamomile... it does the same thing.

Answer: Chamomile, valerian and lavender all have a mildly sedative affect on the nervous system which relaxes you so that you can fall asleep. I wouldn't say it "makes you sleepy", but the ingredients are known to be calming and sedative

There is nothing better than iced Moroccan mint tea in the summertime. Everyone who visits asks for this tea. People who have never been to my house before tell me that others have told them about it, and they ask for it. Also, my kids love it when they have an upset tummy. A warm cup of mint tea is also great in the wintertime. My only complaint is that they don't make "family sized" bags for making jugs of mint tea in the summertime for guests and parties.

This is me and my daughter’s favorite tea. We love to have it with honey and milk. We’ve been drinking it for years. I assumed that with the new branding, the recipe would be identical. But the new shipment I got with the new branding, seems to be a slightly new recipe as well. A little bit more spice, especially cinnamon. We still love it but it’s not as good as it was before. This is the best decaf chai I've tried and even better that it's organic. All the other teas I've tried were so stale compared to the flavor in this one. I've been really missing chai tea since cutting out decaf and I'm so glad I found the perfect one!

One of our favorite teas - a soothing flavor with a flavor lift (non-caffeine). It will noted that many mint teas contain caffeine - This one does not. Look carefully before buying. We've kicked our old friend Caf Feine out of the house - and have more energy each day and less insomnia at night. Sure glad we replaced Caf Feine and his friends with healthier alternatives - and still have wonderful taste.
This is great cold as well - when working outside, or exercising, I often mix this tea up the night before with 1 teabag for about 2 qts, then add some Blue Agave syrup & some coconut sugar & a touch of salt - makes a healthy drink that keeps up my glycogen levels and electrolyte balance; while being very tasty and low cal - can make sugar level the amount I expect to burn.

The blend of rooibos, vanilla and chocolate give a rich, velvety, earthy flavour to this tea. I appreciate Numi is not going with the trendy nylon tea sachets. An inorganic material that I do not wish to heat up and drink! Same with GMO corn like other tea companies are using for tea bags. The ingredients in this Numi tea are organic and the cocoa is certified fair trade, this makes me feel good about purchasing Numi and their business practices all while getting great taste.

I bought this tea from Target and absolutely loved it. The flavor was spot on excellent. We finished the box within 5 days. So I decided to buy it in bulk from Amazon. I had high hopes for this flavor. Too bad it tastes like plain rooibos tea, with no chocolate flavor at all. Pity I'm stuck with three boxes of it.

The tea itself is fine. It's not stale and expiration date is 2023 for this order. Tastes the same as what you find in the store but at a better price when buying the pack o' 3 option.

However, my order was an issue. I ordered and paid for the 3 pack version and received only 1 pack. It was in a bubble wrap type shipping envelope. The package was fine but the box of tea was crushed and torn apart, inside. Luckily the tea was okay.

Had to do an online chat w/Amazon to correct the mistake and opted to get a new replacement. The app wasn't letting me do a normal return. It does say ships from/sold by Amazon but below that, it shows "non-returnable". It's easy to miss tho'! It's under the one-time purchase section which isn't selected by default.

Amazon sent me a new order the following day (today). This time I received all 3 and it was packed inside a shipping box. Plastic was wrapped around the 3 boxes, which is great because it was raining a lot today. Very happy with the corrected service.

Because of the initial mistake, I'm hesitant to reorder and will use either Fresh or my local grocer.

I have purchased many boxes of Numi Organic Rooibos tea. It's great.

Rooibos is uncaffeinated, but it has a nice effect on my energy level--not a stimulant but more like a smoothing out of my energy. I can drink it both in the morning and the evening, which I definitely can't do with caffeinated beverages.

I've tried several other brands of Rooibos but I think Numi has the best flavor -- there is a nice complexity to it. And I like that there is nothing at all in the tea except organic Rooibos--nice and simple. I happily drink it without any sweetener.

Note that Rooibos tea is supposed to steep a bit hotter and a bit longer than many other teas, so don't short change yourself by under-steeping.

I have enjoyed Numi Organic Rooibos Chai tea for many years. According to Amazon’s records I have used 1900 of their tea bags. The tea I have received this year has barely any flavor. I just completed a taste test with a very old tea bag that I had in an old purse as well as two new bags from this year’s batches. There is no comparison. Perhaps the Pandemic has effected production but it is a big mistake to try to sell this current inferior tea. Numi’s willingness to compromise their quality has lost them a customer.

Compared to a chai made with black tea, this really has hardly any flavor. For our 16 oz cups we had to use 2 teabags plus I added a Good Earth Sweet and Spicy caffeine free tea bad to give it more flavor. So three teabags to make a cup of chai that tastes good. I don’t know, I don’t think I’ll get this brand again. We added coconut milk and sweetened as well and with out the good earth combo it’s just blah.

Drummer : A great tasting herbal tea

I started drinking a variation of this tea while serving in the Peace Corps in Botswana, some 48-years ago. My wife rediscovered this tea for me while reading the Alexander McCall Smith series on the Number One Detective Agency, novels about Botswana. I've been a regular customer of this tea ever since. I drink about 3-4 16 oz cups per day, usually starting in the afternoon into early evening. One bag per day. I don't add anything, not even honey. I really like to smooth flavor of this tea. Highly recommend!

I absolutely LOVE this tea. My husband and I drink it before bed. It is not a strong flavor but the tea flavor is perfect and subtle. The ingredients are great blend that are anti-inflammatory, immune boosting, and digestive aiding. Love.

This is my GO-TO tea for every day, that's how much I love it. I sometimes add some medicinal items to it like Wellness Formula to help keep my immune system in shape, sometimes a little honey or lemon if I feel something coming on, but most of the time I have it on it's own. Having the ability to buy 3 at a time is wonderful as that way I know I'll never run out (like I have in the past)! Try it, I do believe you'll like it! =)

I love this tea and have purchased it from Amazon in the past and received three boxes, totaling 54 tea bags. This time I only received one box of 18. If you do the math on the price per count in the listing, it's for 54 tea bags. Returned it when I received only one box.

I order this tea all the time and I love it. My complaint is not with the tea itself, it's with the way it was packaged. Because it was shipped in a shipping bag instead of a box the packages were ripped open and smashed. Won't affect the flavor of the tea but I'd rather have the tea delivered in sealed, undamaged boxes!

Zhara um NIkko : Tart without sour! Refreshing Lime

The dark brown brew resulting from Numi Tea Dry Desert Lime is deceptive. It looks like regular tea. It's aroma is mild, but it's flavor is amazingly refreshing, a citrus treat.

I'm not especially fond of sour tastes, I normally need extra sugar and ice in my lemonade, and many herb teas turn me off for their strong sour flavor (possibly the hibiscus?). Pleasantly, and inexplicably, this Numi Lime tisane delivers bright, tart flavor that is somehow mellowed and without the unwanted burning aftertaste of so many other citrus beverages.

Above and beyond the rich lime-juice flavor is this amazing light and exotic aftertaste - I can only suppose it's a product of fermenting and drying the lime peels. It is an earthy, misty and mysterious flavor, but as odd as it is, it is also ephemeral and fleeting. Just a hint of a chergui in your teacup, if you allow your imagination to draw it out.

I've tried Numi Dry Desert Lime with stevia, with honey, with agave, but I confess my favorite is to add only a pinch of demerara raw sugar. Iced is so refreshing, warm is fortifying. Great stuff! I may never touch a hibiscus-based tisane again.

This product what pretty good. It had a rather interesting taste to it. It was not very strong though. I will probably use it from time to time but not everynight. In my opinion it needs a bit more work but is almost there. Plus, I do realise that some may like it as is. Everyone's taste differs.

Mom of Four : Indulgent Tea for a Wintry Day

A wonderful tea for a cold winter day, and my current fave for unwinding in the evening. It’s quite flavorful, not sweet or with overt chocolate flavor, but mellow and complex.

We used to buy Peet’s Red Cloud Cacao, which had a similar formulation, but, like many great products, it was discontinued. Thus, we were pleased to discover Numi Teas and this “Indulgent Chocolate Rooibos Tea” in particular.

I highly recommend it.

Best moroccan mint tea I've ever got, outside of Morocco. Its awesome if you brew on a stove with 75% rice milk or coconut milk and only 25% or less water (so its thick & more creamy), then add some honey. :) My toddlers love this in the morning too.

So... I don't like coffee, and liked tea OCCASIONALLY. I admit I am EXTREMELY particular ( taking the time to commend my husband for hanging in there for 16 yrs.!!????), and would only drink it with tea AND honey. Winter arrives, and on a fluke, I made a cup of this stuff will attending a business meeting and being surrounded by coffee drinkers. With hot water and some measly sugar packets, I indulged in pure Bliss. Delicious, aromatic, and soothingly perfect, I purchased one 100ct. box, and am writing this review after buying another. Don't miss out on a good thing.

This is cheaper online than in Whole Foods which is crazy but great for me. My family are big tea drinkers and this is a great one to have for relaxing and getting zin. Plus Chai is very healthy for you, add some oat milk or other milk it gives it that Milk Tea feels, like silk.

I've been drinking Numi teas for years. They usually manage to strike the right balance between flavor and strength. I mention strength because in the world of commercial tea that's sold in tea bags, most are either devoid of taste or feature such attenuated flavor that choosing between brands and varieties is a waste of time. What usually makes Numi's teas so different are their depth of flavor. Numi's Rooibos and Honeybush varieties, for example, are excellent and are well worth seeking out.

This relatively recent Numi Chocolate Rooibos tea is a mixture that contains both of the above herbal tea varieties, as well as cocoa and vanilla. The tea is excellent, boasting a moderately robust chocolate flavor that is reminiscent of natural cocoa (it's not too sweet, and with a slight astringency), along with floral overtones from the honeybush, and a quite mild yet flavorful vanilla finish from the rooibos and vanilla combination. It's a very tasty tea and is now my personal favorite. It's worth a try if it sounds at all interesting to you.

My son wanted to try this tea. Excellent choice. No caffeine and big on taste. He prefers his cold. He uses 4 teas bags with the tea maker and it comes out perfect every time. I highly recommend trying the cold brew if you have not.

I enjoy drinking it hot. Sweetened with a little honey. Perfect every time. I can drink this right before bed as it has nothing to keep me awake. .

This tea was amazing I had a friend introduced me to it. It not only tastes wonderful and I definitely will continue to purchase more but it actually brought down my blood pressure. Fantastic malsala flavor without caffeine. I've tried dozens of masala teas (with and without caffeine) and this has the best flavor by far! Excellent with honey. Add a touch of cream for a more authentic chai experience. So much better than those overly sweet, sugary boxed blends. (Well, all chai made from scratch and with honey instead of sugar is better than anything that comes pre-made.) Just make sure your water is BOILING the moment you add it to your tea!! (True for all tea.) More authentic would be to boil MILK and then place the honey and tea in the milk to steep, but I prefer a touch of cream instead. Enjoy!

The fantastic flavor of the rooibos is front and center with rounded spices complementing it. You get hints of clove, cinnamon, and allspice a good balanced chai. Individual wrapped single serve packets. Great as boba tea as well. Not very peppery ( compared to Starbucks chai)

This is one of my all-time favorite teas. I can't drink much caffeine any more. Black chai used to be my ultimate favorite so when I had to cut it out of my diet completely for over a year I first discovered rooibos tea as having the closest warm earthiness any herbal tea had compared to black tea. Then there's the question of the chai spices. Numi's blend is by far the best of any pre-made herbal chai blend I've tasted. This tea is an absolute staple for me now. Love it!

I love chai tea, but am sensitive to black tea - so I can't have it.

This tea tastes just like solid clove seasoning though, instead of like a normal chai tea seasoning blend.

Who Knows : Lovely exotic flavor; both stimulating and relaxing, depending how you feel.

Totally my fault for not thinking it through, but I thought this was gonna be entirely reminiscent of honey, and failed to differentiate that from "honeybush." Def awkward, since I know honey comes from beehives, etc. Nonetheless, this is a nice spicy tea with "honey overtones" (as the box accurately states). It smells and tastes kind of like walking into an African shop with incense burning. A very exotic heir to it. It cleared up my sinuses when I drank it and I love that it's caffeine free, as I can have it any time of the day. There is something both very stimulating and relaxing about this flavor. It is good unsweetened and sweetened. Even though I am typically a jasmine/oolong tea drinker, I enjoyed this. The pluses are that it's organic and uses all <whatever><whatever> materials that are friendly to the earth, etc.
