Who We Are
Our family business was founded in 1886 in Harrogate, one of the nicest towns in Yorkshire (though we might be a bit biased)! We’re still family owned today and we work hard to stay true to our love of fairness, flavor and quality.
Yorkshire Tea is the most famous tea that we make, but look around on the tea shelves and you’ll find a whole host of teas and infusions created by the same people who make your favorite brew, from specialty black teas to green teas, and fruit and herbal infusions.
A proper brew, pure and simple. Great quality black teas with loads of flavor.
Giving Back
Taylors is committed to supporting people and planet, both in the Yorkshire region where we’re based and in our global tea and coffee supply chain. We see investment in community and environmental projects as critical to support our long term future, and work to grow strong, lasting relationships, sometimes over decades, to make a continued difference to the quality of our teas and to the lives of the people who grow them.
Our team of tea and coffee buyers spend many months a year overseas so we see firsthand the difference we’re making to the communities we rely on for our tea and coffee. It’s not always easy and many of the challenges within our global supply chain are deep-rooted and complex, but we’re proud of our commitment, the progress made so far, and deeply grateful for the on-going support and commitment we receive from suppliers and partners.
Working together for a sustainable future
| | | |
Taylors Sourcing Approach (TSA) is our model for how we buy our tea and coffee. Rather than simply ‘buying a commodity’, TSA is a way of buying which allows us to build the supply chain we want and need for the future. At its heart is a commitment to put our values at the center of how we buy, underpinned by long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers. | The Environment By reducing our environmental impacts, both within our own operations and our supply chain, and by planting trees and supporting other carbon capture and reduction projects, we’re working towards making our tea and coffee range ‘carbon neutral’.By reducing our environmental impacts, both within our own operations and our supply chain, and by planting trees and supporting other carbon capture and reduction projects, we’re working towards making our tea and coffee range ‘carbon neutral’. | Improving Livelihoods The tea and coffee sector is highly dependent on the smallholders who grow 80% of the world’s coffee and 70% of global tea production. Decreasing farm size, access to and cost of soil inputs, rudimentary farming methods, lack of investment in infrastructure and increasingly unpredictable weather and patterns, are all impacting on smallholders’ ability to make a living. | Resilient Communities We’re committed to ensuring the communities in which our suppliers, smallholders and workers are based are resilient and sustainable for the future. Together with our key suppliers, we work to understand the challenges their communities face and support projects and initiatives to address them. These vary in scale and reach, from small timebound partnerships with suppliers, to significant industry collaborations. |

Questions about Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold, 40 Teabags
Q:
What is the difference between yorkshire gold and yorkshire red?
Answer: To me, the Red is stronger and if you leave the tea bag in the cup too long it will make a very strong cup of tea. The Gold is a more delicate (rounded?) flavour and leaving the tea bag in the cup for longer does not result in a much stronger cuppa. Of course, this my opinion and experience. I would try both and see which you like best. You can't go wrong with either if you like a good British cuppa.
Answer: To me, the Yorkshire Red was weird. It wasn't that it was bitter, but it had kind of a numbing affect on my tongue. The taste was flat. The Yorkshire gold was so much better. More of the tea taste I expected with more flavor.
Answer: gold is more expensive. I like the heartiness of the red
Answer: More Assam in the red. More like an Irish breakfast tea.
Answer: Red is blended to be more suited to hard water; the Gold is best with water without much mineral content.
Answer: Not sure but I think the “Gold” is a better grade of tea. The “Gold” is very good....hubby’s favorite tea!
Q:
How does this tea compare in flavor to Irish or English breakfast tea? Also the leaves, are they larger or powdery and crushed? Thank you
Answer: The leaves are not large but not powdery either - very little, if any, sediment gets to the bottom of the cup during brewing. The bags themselves are larger than a standard tea bag - e.g. Lipton - and will brew a nice strong cup of tea in as much as 16 oz of water. I would say the flavor is more akin to English breakfast than Irish breakfast. The taste is very smooth - not bitter or acidic, even if you leave the tea bag steeping longer than intended. It is definitely one of my favorite brands of breakfast tea.
Answer: The leaves are crushed in a bag. The flavor is more like a wonderful English tea. I have not had Irish tea. I highly recommend the Yorkshire gold tea!
Answer: I would say that it compares favorably with the strength and black tea make up of an English Breakfast, but a tad smoother. I use the tea bags, so the leaves are not easy to see. However, they are definitely not powdery. It is a good strong but not bitter cup of tea.
Answer: Hard to answer...I think the flavor of Yorkshire is a bit more floral than Irish B-fast (which is also a tea I drink often, usually Twinings). Based on the feel of the teabag, I'd say it's crushed dry leaves, not powder.
Answer: To me YG is stronger, definitely goes darker faster, more amber in color and takes cream better. Try it.
Q:
Does this tea have caffeine?
Answer: It is a black tea blend. Nowhere on the box does it indicate it is decaffeinated. So, yes, black teas contain caffeine unless decaffeinated.
Answer: Yes. It’s a mix of Assam, Kenya and Rwanda black teas. It’s delicious.
Answer: Yes, it does. I have never drank a caffeine free British or irsh tea, so am unable to recommend any brand to you.
Answer: Yes, it is a strong tea.
Answer: Yes it does have caffeine. They offer caffeine free versions as well if that is a concern.
Answer: Yes it does.
Answer: I certainly hope so
Q:
Are these tea bag round or square ?
Answer: The tea bag is square.
Answer: These are large square bags with no strings attached.
Answer: Yorkshire Gold tea bags are flat rectangles. The tea is delicious.
Answer: They’re square.
Answer: Square.
Q:
Is each tea bag individually wrapped?
Answer: There is a wax wrapping and the bags are not individually wrapped. Not too many English companies individually wrap. Great tea though
Answer: No they are not individually wrapped. They are just tea bags with no string.
Answer: Hi Robert no our tea comes in boxes but not individually wrapped
Answer: Actually the bags are not wrapped at all.the bags come in pairs with easy tear serrated dots between the bags so they are very easily separated by gently pulling the two apart.
Answer: No, they arent. I just kept them all in a ziploc bag, and the taste wasnt dramatically altered. I enjoyed the last one as much as the first.
Q:
Does this taste similar to twinings irish breakfast tea?
Answer: 1. Twinings is an English company, not American. So one reviewer is confused.
Answer: 1. Twinings is an English company, not American. So one reviewer is confused.
Answer: To be perfectly honest, it's not even in the same ballpark. America just doesn't understand how to make a good tea. This has a bold flavor, and crisp, clean taste that I've never found in a tea on the Yank side of the pond. It's not weak in any way, but it may not have that sharp edge that Irish breakfast tea has.
Answer: 99.9% better than twinings, which I just recently tried . Twinings are such weak teas that they don't even taste like tea. Yorkshire tea of harrogate are the best . I am American with an English mom who made proper cups of
Answer: I think that this tea is the best brewing tea I have ever tasted. I have been ordering this for the last couple years. I don't believe it taste like Irish tea. It is a very smooth English tea. I do have Irish tea's in my home as well and I don't believe that this has the same exact taste as an Irish tea. I actually preferred drinking this one over my Irish tea's. I hope this helps.
Answer: Wish I could tell you if there is a difference...but the Yorkshire tea is DELICIOUS!!! I actually first tried it in York, so it holds a special place in my heart.
Answer: Not sure but the tea is good
Answer: Very smooth tea,l like it better
Answer: I just bought that but have not tasted it yet
Q:
The description says, “40 Teabags (pack of 5).” Does this mean it is a pack of 5 boxes containing 40 bags in each box, totaling 200 bags?
Answer: Although we buy 1 box of 160 tea bags at a time, the box of 40 tea bags does imply 5 boxes of 40 tea bags. We love this product. My husband is from England and recommends if you have hard water, you might want to buy Yorkshire Red . Yorkshire Gold is better with filtered / soft water. Use a teapot with very hot water & drop the teabag in. Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes before pouring.
Answer: Some of the buying options are for multiple boxes of 40 teabags. But there is also an item on Amazon for ONE box of forty. If you have a metal cannister for 40 YG teabags, larger packages will not fit, e.g., 80 or 160. And best to keep tea in a sealed cannister to keep it fresh..
Answer: Not sure I haven’t seen that description for the tea bags before
Answer: Yes
Q:
How many tea bags do you get period?
Answer: You get 5 boxes with 40 LARGE bags per box, so you get 200 large tea bags. Each tea bag can make 2 or more cups of tea. Read the instructions on the box carefully.
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: 40 tea bags per box times 5 boxes is 200 tea bags. I put the extra in the freezer to keep them fresh
Answer: 200 tea bags, exactly as advertised.
Answer: 200, it would seem. Math works out regarding the price per bag.
Answer: On the outside of the box it has the number of bags it contains period.
Q:
Is this tea decaf
Answer: This tea is regular black tea, not decaf.
Answer: Good morning! This 40-count Yorkshire Gold is not a decaffeinated tea. It is actually a strong black tea blend, great with some milk. Hope this helps. Anna
Answer: No, but they do carry a decaf tea. Look for Yorkshire gold decaf tea.
Answer: No it is regular black tea, stronger than most more like coffee
Answer: No, it's not decaf.
Answer: No not decaf.
Answer: There was no mention of it on the package
Answer: No
Answer: No
Answer: No
Q:
When will you sponsor the spiffing brit on youtube? he is how i found you!
Answer: oh anytime
Q:
There are 2 yorkshire gold teas (from yorkshire tea) & both come in a box. but the box of 80 tea bags is $6.99 and the one of 40 is $8.19. why?
Answer: Hello,
Answer: Both Yorkshire Gold and Yorkshire Red are black tea blends of various grade of black tea. That accounts for the price difference of tea.Yorkshire Gold is considered the luxury brand. Hope this helps. Anna/Bamboo Tea House
Answer: Not sure, maybe it’s a situation where the more you buy the bigger the discount. I purchased the one with 40
Answer: Different suppliers?
Q:
There is a yorkshire gold blended and a yorkshire gold black. what is the difference.? the description appears the same for both.
Answer: We get the Yorkshire Gold (in the UK it's the higher quality blend). It's all China Black Tea (i.e. English Breakfast in the US).
Answer: They are blends of different grade of tea and therefore the different price points.
Answer: Honestly, cannot tell. I do know gold is smoother vs. red. Maybe the black gets darker, but honestly both get dark. I take my tea with a splash of cream and paired with scones or butter cookies, so I swear by gold and got a box of 100 the last time I ordered.
Answer: The gold has a more mellow taste. Sort of like Lady Gray does to Earl Gray
Answer: I am not sure. Sorry
Q:
How does this compare to yorkshire red and pg tips? the two are my favorites and i wanted to know if the gold was a must try. thank you.
Answer: Yorkshire gold is a more premium blend of tea than red. I prefer pg tips for a morning breakfast tea and Yorkshire gold for an evening tea. You should give the gold a try.
Answer: Yorkshire Gold is a classic blend of 3 strong teas, Indian Assam, Kenya tea and Rwanda tea. You may have to do a tea tasting to compare the 2. Our taste is totally subjective. Often different tea for different time of day. Have fun. Anna
Answer: I have not tried Yorkshire red, but we love PG tips. Yorkshire gold is right up there. Rich, red, flavorful. Try it!
Answer: A little better than the red and way better than PG Tips IMHO. From a Brit now living in California...
Answer: All I can say is that Yorkshire Gold is the best for my tastes... Not sure... but I know I like it best. The gold has a nice 'rounded' taste... not astringent or tannic... and no matter how strong you make it, it stays non-bitter or tannic.
Answer: The gold seems milder than the red. We’ve been enjoying Twinings Prince of Wales Right now
Q:
Why is it $3.99 for 100 bags and $6.38 for 40 bags? The math doesn't seem to work?
Answer: That is a great point. Need to mention to the producer or Amazon. I can’t help you with that but say buy the 100 count and save $$
Answer: Don't ask! Buy the less expensive package and get more teabags.
Answer: not sure im not the seller
Q:
I let it steep for 3 minutes in boiling water and the tea tasted rather watery. What is the ideal time to let it steep?
Answer: Generally, 3-5 minutes is the steeping time for black tea. And there is always personal preference. How much hot water do you use to infuse a teabag? You can always reduce the hot water and increase tea to water ratio to make a stronger tea.
Answer: Really, tasted watery you say. But is was black as tar in those 3 minutes, correct? Black tea should steep 3-5 minutes, but will go bitter when steeped too long. Try 4 minutes. Do you sweeten, cream your tea? Yorkshire Gold is smooth but will go butter. Good luck!
Answer: Personal preference 9f mine is to leave the tea bag in the cup until the tea is just cool enough to sip....maybe 5-6 minutes.
Answer: I steep the tea for 5 minutes, but you may want to also be sure you’re not using too much water. I always cover the tea while steeping also.
Answer: I’ve never had this issue. I do suggest that you preheat the cup or teapot first, just add some boiling water and swish around for a few seconds. Discard that water then pour the boiling water over the teabag. I steep for a few minutes and as you know the longer you steep the stronger the tea!
Answer: I have the red label and it says to steep for 4 to 5 minutes in I think it said 8 or 10oz. Check the box, it should say on there recommended steep duration.
Answer: I generally steep my tea longer, about 5min or more to get a stronger flavor from the tea.
Answer: I prefer 5 minutes, and make sure the water is boiling.
Answer: 5 minutes
Q:
Is this tea organic or non gmo?
Answer: Hi,
Answer: I don't know if it's organic, all I can tell you is that it's the BEST TASTING English Breakfast tea I've ever tasted in my entire life -- and that's saying a lot.
Answer: I don’t know- it isn’t labeled to indicate. It is a good black tea.
Answer: It is wonderful. It is tea!
Answer: The packaging doesn't say anything about either. Sorry.
Q:
What is the "use by" date for this product?
Answer: Hi. The current expiry date as of today 3rd Feb is January 2018. Many thanks
Answer: As far as I know, the term "use by date" indicates the final date that the product should be used in order to obtain the best results from it. In the case of the tea, I would assume that it is the end of the time period during which the tea will taste the best.
Answer: Is there one? That would certainly be silly - tea is a dried product, probably good for decades as long as kept dry.
Answer: Dear customer. We have new stock which has use by of November 2018
Q:
Can I use cream and sugar with this black tea?
Answer: Yes. Definitely. Cream and sugar will round off the edges of this strong black tea blend. Enjoy tea English style. Anna
Answer: Oh, of course. I just like a little milk in mine but you could use cream, milk, home, sugar...whatever. It’s delicious!
Answer: Yes, sure. However British usually use milk, not cream.
Answer: Yes, it’s lovely with cream and sugar (or honey)!
Answer: I just use a little bit of milk... I would imagine you could use cream and sugar though.
Answer: Absolutely! That’s how I take it and it’s delicious.
Answer: I do.
Q:
What is the difference between yorkshire red, gold and black teas? is it the quality, blend or ??
Answer: I like Yorkshire red for my morning tea. It seems stronger, wakes me up. I like the gold for my afternoon tea as it seems milder and is relaxing. I use loose leaf tea.
Answer: I believe that it is the tea blend. My daughter wanted the red, a few years ago, because Niles, from One Direction, drank the red. I tried some and it was pretty good. Hope this helps a little. Maybe Google could offer more insight?
Answer: Hi , Yes I believe it is the different blends of the brand
Q:
Is this the UK blend or a weaker American version?
Answer: The standard print on the bottom of the box says that it was packed and blended in England and imported into USA, which may or may not be true.
Answer: It is blended and packed in England. I am not familiar with the the UK
Answer: The box states it is imported from UK. This tea is not weak. It is some seriously strong stuff. Love it.
Product reviews of Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold, 40 Teabags
J. York : It's just the best
No other black tea has such a strong and pleasant flavor. It's in a class of its own.
M Taty : A good cup of tea
I prefer a strong tea but not a bitter tea. I periodically switch to a English Breakfast or an afternoon tea, but this is my favorite.
Shotah : This is English Black Tea
Sat on the river Bosphorus in 2009 drinking delicious tea that I was never able to replicate until Colin Furze mentioned this tea. It is the standard.
Jason Munson : Good black tea
I bought this tea solely because I had read an article on line written by a journalist from either Epicurious or Bon Appetit magazine and they raved about how delicious it was. They said coffee drinkers would never go back after having this tea. I like tea so thought what the heck! Well it is good and has a strong smooth taste but it's not fantastic. Basically tastes like a upgraded Liptons black tea. I wouldn't buy it again but if you only like tea this might be your thing. I personally think a good oolong is much better than this tea.
Nathan McCullough : Good stuff
Tried this on the advice of a British friend. I can drink this without sugar in it, and there is no greater testament to its flavor than that.
Celtic Murat : Solid anytime tea
I'm a American who loves tea and was interested in trying what British tea tasted like. The tea is mild and is pleasant for anytime time of the day, but specially in the morning. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
One thing to note for you other Americans, the tea satchels are larger then what you typically see in a Lipton tea bag. I typically brew two cups with one teabag. I've tried brewing one teabag for one cup but it is a bit strong for my tastes. By using two cups for one tea satchel you get more value anyways! So consider this when factoring in price.
All in all I highly recommend this product
FrancaBB : Great tea!!
What a great tea!! Smooth, delicious, non-acid. Highly recommend.
susan e griego : weak taste
I was disappointed with these tea bags. I expected a fuller flavour, so back to Typhoo!
Andrew D. Lossing : Excellent
I've known about this tea since I was a kid, but hadn't thought of picking some up for over two decades. Luckily, it's still around and as good as ever. It's a rich, more complex tea due to having different leaves (including the excellent assam) with different flavors. I'm not a huge fan of sugar or milk in tea, as I'm a rebellious American and by definition I must pooh-pooh the proper English style, but this is a good blend for those who like to gussy up their tea. It's also very good plain, as God intended - not too strong, no bitterness, nice malty flavor. Try it if you like tea!
sky goddess : Smooth soft tea
I’ve been using this tea for years. And I really like it because it is smooth and soft and a creamy tea if that’s possible it’s a wonderful tea to just have with a little lemon in it. Very good product
Birdlegs : Rich flavor
The tea has a rich and satisfying flavor. I’ve always been a fan of Earl Grey, but Yorkshire Gold may win me over.
Dimples1954 : Great English Tea!
OK, this is embarassing to admit. I've been drinking tea for over 50 years. I was with my son one night who put on a game reviewer on his PS4, and this Englishman went on and on, repeatedly in his game review about Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold tea. I kid you not! It's actually kind of hysterical to listen to. Well, you know how that gets into your mind, and by the time I finished listening to this gentleman's game review, I HAD to find out what all the fuss was about this tea. So, thanks to Amazon, our shipment arrived in about a week. Now, I read a LOT of reviews about this tea, and paid attention to some reviewers who stated their tea shipment ( 80 or 160 teabags) seemed stale. So, that's why I thought I'd try the 40 bag size. Glad I did. This tea is fresh, and very pleasant. I also purchased the 48 count variety box, and was glad I did. I would definitely buy this product again, we're happy we did!
Shelley : We love this tea
My daughter and I were first introduced to this tea at a tea room. It has since become our all-time favorite tea. It never fails to satisfy.
Mare : a good tea
I would say this is a good Earl Grey. It's not my favorite and I had never heard of it until it was mentioned in a TV show as a favorite. So I thought I'd try it. If I can't get my number one earl grey, The Republic of Tea, I will choose this one.
JonPittsburgh67 : OK, but with reservations.
Turned out to be pretty strong, so 3-minutes is about right to prevent bitterness. Tea bags come in pairs, so you need to use scissors to cut each pair apart in order to use one bag. Date of freshness was set to expire in just a couple of months, so vendor has old stock. These tea bags are not sealed in plastic or foil so once the box is opened its all downhill from there. Taste was OK but I only have Twinings to compare to (which seems fresher always.)
Sultan : Buy it now!
It is the best tea I ever drink in my entire life!
Mason Otero : great tea
I bought this tea because of The Spiffing Brit. It is even better than i expected! It'll definitely be my go-to tea from now on. get the man a sponsorship!
Monique J. : Fantastic tea!
I was my expecting much to be honest. This was my son's idea. He saw it on YouTube and just had to try it. Skeptical and with so e reservations I ordered. This was our second box. The first box had a shipping and delivery problem which Amazon took care of immediately. I can't say enough good things about how Amazon handled it. Now, for the tea. Its delicious. No, it more than delicious. I am not really a tea snob but I do enjoy a good cup of tea. My son loved it so much he didn't want to share. We like it pretty strong so we steep for 5 minutes. Add a little honey and milk and off to tea heaven we go. Try it! It's a very good tea.
JOVial1 : Good, Solid, Hearty Tea
Bought this as a gift for my daughter and her French husband, who adores it! I tried it and fell in love with it too. I do agree with a lot of the good reviews that this is a very good tea.

It is the best tea I ever drink in my entire life!
Amazon Customer : Teas ruined because of amazon packaging them with scented dryer sheets!
This no fault of Harrogates —but amazon packaged my 5 boxes of expensive tea with bounce dryer sheets!
Of course the tea now smells like fabric sheets. Ugh. Ridiculous quality control.
Soup : The best tea by far
Always the best tea! So glad I can get it here!
sky goddess : Smooth soft tea
I’ve been using this tea for years. And I really like it because it is smooth and soft and a creamy tea if that’s possible it’s a wonderful tea to just have with a little lemon in it. Very good product
Dominic T. Sedillo : Sir Patrick Stewart drinks this tea!!!
I honestly only bought this tea because Sir Patrick Stewart said he drank it every day, in an interview I watched.
It's VERY robust and rich. It has a strong and bitter flavor. One bag could probably make a whole pot. For my tastes I may have to not marinate it for so long.
I did enjoy it with milk. I recommend it if you like strong tea.
Amazon Customer : A good cuppa!!
A friend from the UK suggested this tea to me and I LOVE it!! Very flavorful, smooth and pleasing from first sip to last; I have a cup every day in the morning. THANKS!!!
sky goddess : Smooth soft tea
I’ve been using this tea for years. And I really like it because it is smooth and soft and a creamy tea if that’s possible it’s a wonderful tea to just have with a little lemon in it. Very good product
amazon customer : Delicious English tea according to this American
I bought a box of Yorkshire tea in college, because I knew it was considered a good brand in England, and I wanted to try better tea than what I could find here in the States. I loved it! I didn't buy another box until now (6 years later), and it is so much easier to buy now from Amazon. The tea is so good. It really is better than our American teas. The color too, is just gorgeous.
Poodlay : Is it because I'm an uncultured American?
Maybe because it's I'm an uncultured American, but this tea doesn't taste all that different from regular old Lipton black tea to me. It's not bad, but I guess I was hoping for liquid gold and angels coming down from the heavens or something.
The tea bags are really big though, so you can make a whole lot of tea with one bag (Maybe like 8 cups' worth?)

Jared shoegaze : Awesome quality. Highly recommended
Started making Lipton black tea with almond milk and sugar. Wanted better quality. The price is great. Got my sister a 40 pack box. I make it hot with carafina(sp) almond milk in a big travel mug. Only need 1 bag with a big mug. Quality is great. Tastes really good without milk but I love it with almond milk and raw sugar. Very good with almond milk I mentioned. The vanilla one.
Edward V : Taste good, but the price premium isn’t worth it for me
I’m not a tea connoisseur or even drink tea too often. Like a few others, I just HAD to try Yorkshire Gold tea because of the Spiffing Brit on YouTube. Even though he hyped it up a great deal, as a non-tea drinker myself, I can’t see the appeal of this tea compared to other generic black tea like Liptons.
The tea does have a beautiful red color to it, but the taste is of any prepackaged black tea that I’ve had. This tea does taste good, but it’s not worth the premium cost compared to mass produced tea packets, in my opinion.
The box is nice in that it comes with a lid to easily open and close, but I don’t like that the tea bags don’t come individually wrapped, nor have a string to pull on.
Overall, Yorkshire Gold does taste nice, but if you gave me any generic black tea, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. But again, I’m not a tea drinker, so my plebeian taste buds probably can’t appreciate the nuanced taste that makes this tea so much more expensive than more economical brands.
JOVial1 : Good, Solid, Hearty Tea
Bought this as a gift for my daughter and her French husband, who adores it! I tried it and fell in love with it too. I do agree with a lot of the good reviews that this is a very good tea.
Tara Jo : Delicious!
As an American, I don't often drink tea. I'm more of a coffee person. However, one day I had a craving for some really good English tea. This was the first result that came up, so I figured for $6 why not?
It's actually quite tasty! I took the advice of an Englishwoman and did two tea bags, 8-10 oz of boiling water, steeped for 5 minutes. I added a little milk and some stevia (I'm on a diet :( ) and I was surprised at how satisfying it was. I may try the Gold variety next time.
Cloe : Spiffing good tea
My husband loves this tea. It's a relatively new hobby for him, but we love all of the Yorkshire blends. It's hard to find quality tea that isnt really expensive. (Hot tea isn't really a thing where we live) Time and again we find ourselves in need of tea, and always choose Yorkshire.
Ruth Daniel : I wanted to love it...
There are a lot of mixed reviews on this tea, but I decided to give it a try because so many people seem to love it. I think that these multi-packs must be stale, because there is really not much flavor at all except for some bitterness at the back of my palate. Since I have 5 boxes, I'll keep trying with less water and more tea bags, but so far, I'm really disappointed in this purchase. Doesn't taste like something I'd get in Yorkshire, and I was hoping it would be my new favorite.
Kindle Customer : Is it the real deal?
So many products are not! Other reviews complain about the colour. In Britain, as with the chocolate, it's the milk that makes the tea special. With US milk, it's not going to be 'real' Brit tea but to me (picky expat) it seems good enough.
Emily M : love
I ordered this one the advise of a friend, and I'm glad they told me about it. This tea is so good. If you are used to main stream tea here in the US give this a try.

Billy Threatt : 9/10 a great tea
The flavor is very smooth, not bitter at all, and has just the right amount of tea flavor - not weak, and not too bold. Pairs well with oat milk.
chas : Smooth and Strong
i loved this tea, has great flavor, very smooth. the only thing is i have to drink it early or i will be up for a awhile.
Sultan : Buy it now!
It is the best tea I ever drink in my entire life!
Donald : While the world burns in chaos of the virus laden 2020, why not enjoy it with a pleasant tea.
While everyone is out panic buying toilet paper, those with a refined taste can stock up with a nice tea. Got both this and the Irish Breakfast, my taste buds enjoyed the Irish breakfast better, but this is a very nice tea with a hint of an earthy flavor. Prompt delivery, and great product, packaged well for delivery. I can now sit back and enjoy the corona-virus end of the world sipping a nice tea with a dab of honey and milk.
Jeremiah : Great tea
Best tea i have ever had. Even beats some of the hand picked whole leaf stufd ive tried. These are very strong do not leave the bags in too long or it will turn bitter..ive found 4 minutes with no aggitation to be perfect
Harry P. : Poorly packaged, good flavor, not the best value in an assam
This is the first "quality" teabag brand that I've seen where the teabags are just laying loose, exposed in the box -- no wrapping, nothing to seal to keep air out, nothing to protect freshness. So if you don't use them fast, like you might in an office or commercial setting, they are prone to getting stale more quickly than they should.
I bought these to compare my loose leaf assam, to a blended tea that Brits held in high regard. Compared to my plain-jane but good quality vahdam loose leaf assam, this yorkshire gold blended tea is a little brighter flavor, and definitely has a more attractive gold-tinted color, and slightly more appealing aroma. But 80% of the experience is the same -- it's an assam-forward tea that tastes, looks and smells like an assam-forward tea. I prefer something a little brighter than plain assam, and this provides that, but it's not as attractive a price point, since I get my assam loose leaf vahdam at bulk, and it's MUCH cheaper than the yorkshire gold.
L. J. House : Icky
Box was not sealed and wrapped by human and not a machine. The taste was not my cup of tea.
Shotah : This is English Black Tea
Sat on the river Bosphorus in 2009 drinking delicious tea that I was never able to replicate until Colin Furze mentioned this tea. It is the standard.
