Questions about Sunflower Jasmine Tea 1 LB (454 g)
Q:
how do you compare this jasmine tea to the Twinings jasmine tea
Answer: Twinnings is a lot less strong. The instructions on the sunflower tea say steep for 5 minutes in boiling water... I suggest throwing out these instructions. Water temp should be 165-175 (as for any green tea, especially loose tea) and steep for 3 minutes depending on desired strength... As always play around with the amount of water u use and how long you steep too see what works best :)
Answer: I like Sunflower jasmine better than the Twinings or any other jasmine I have tried. It taste more flavor both in the tea and the jasmine. It is bulk tea, so I use a stainless wire mesh tea diffuser. In the past I have steeped it loose in the pot then strained it with a fine strainer and stored in thermos or else in another pot, if I'll use it right away.
Answer: I can't compare it. I am allergic to caffeine and it seems to be in all Black Tea. Most commercial teas have Black Tea in them. Caffeine gives me migraines. So you can imagine how careful I am. Twinings is off limits. For some reason Sunflower tea doesn't bother me. It is green tea. From what I gather it is the tea you get an any restaurant in any Chinatown. You can get a small 1/4 lb. and give it a try. I like it rather strong.
Answer: I've tried other Twinnings Teas, and I have no complaints, but I've really come to prefer loose leaf blends. Of this brand, I've tried the Jasmine and the Lapsang Souchong brands, and both are outstanding. I like mine strong, so I steep them longer than the recommended 5 minutes. The Lapsang is not for the faint hearted though. It's the espresso of teas, but I really enjoy it. Hope this helps...
Answer: The loose leaf jasmine tea is far more superior than the pre-bagged tea. The flavor is fresh and more defined. I've read some reviews where people complain that there aren't enough "flowers" in the loose tea, but that's not where all the flavor comes from. I'll never go back to pre-bagged tea again.
Answer: Sorry Alan. I've never tried Twinnings loose tea. But am very pleased with the Sunflower.
Answer: I've never had the Twinings. I think it is just as good as Teavana.
Q:
does it contain the actual jasmine flower or it's just an artificial flavor? thanks!
Answer: yes, there are actual jasmine flowers. No artificial flavor is used. I would warn you, this tea is pretty strong compared to the others ive tried. the instructions say to pour boiling water over 3 grams of tea (does not specify how much water to use) and let sit covered for 5 minutes. ive played with different methods and found 3g (about 1/2 tbsp) and 16oz of water at 180 degrees steeped for about 2-3 minutes makes for a delicious cup of tea. hope this helps :)
Answer: actual flowers but not a strong flavor from them. We prefer another brand sold here on Amazon, but much more expensive: Tao of tea: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GHJLTS/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Answer: it has the actual jasmine flower in it. This is the good stuff and it is extremely delicious. They serve this in chinese restaurants. If you like the taste of jasmine tea you will love this. I have been buying it for many years and the price here is well below the price in most chinese specialty stores.
Answer: There are no visible flowers however they are listed in the ingredients. My understanding of Jasmine tea is that the tea leaves are died with jasmine flowers so that the scent is infused and then they are removed. This tea has a great jasmine scent and there is no artificial flavorin listed on the ingredients.
Answer: There are some flowers, crushed. This is not like the old Harrods "jasmine blossoms" with tea leaves that used to be available. Do let us know if you find that!
Answer: Yes, it does have flowers but be aware this is an "every man's tea" and it isn't packed with them. It doesn't have a heavy Jasmine taste like it did years ago. I still think it is very tasty.
Answer: No flowers. But great taste.
Answer: Sorry. I rechecked the tea. There are a few flowers in the tea.
Answer: It has jasmine flowers.
Q:
What size are the leaves? Could I use a silicone tea infuser or should I stick with stainless steel mesh?
Answer: These aren't leaves. They are crumpled leaves and stems. It sort of looks like oregeno or perhaps if you stuck it in a zip lock bag it might look like some illegal. I'd stick with the mesh. Personally I use a tea-maker and put in a coffee filter.
Answer: the leaves are big enough to use a silicone infuser.
Answer: I don't know about silicone, as I don't have one. I brew mine using a French press.
Q:
is this green or white tea?? I want WHITE jasmine tea. Darn Rishi for changing packaging!
Answer: This is a green tea it is not white. I have been using it for many years and I can assure you that it is green.
Answer: I'm quite sure this is "green tea."
Q:
has anyone received a tin that was past expiration?
Answer: We don't send out items which was expired. Thank you.
Answer: I, cannot answer that question for you, since I could not find an expiration date on the tin. If it's written in Chinese, I wouldn't be able to read it, anyway. SORRY!
Answer: Forget the expiration date, teas last forever if kept properly. Learn about your teas. Many are years old before they ever get to market due to farmers having to travel far from the mountains to city. I have these teas that are 20 years old and still great. There are many kinds of tea that come in cakes that are hundred years old and sell for thousands and prized for this. Imparting layers of delicate flavors, it's an awesome experience. Tea is like aged wine! Keep in cool dark and dry place and you'll be fine. These come in dry loose leaves in air tight container.
Q:
Does this tea have caffeine?
Answer: All green teas have caffeine. However, it is a low amount. I would estimate that this tea has between 15-30mg of caffeine per 8oz. For comparison, Diet Coke has 40mg/8oz and coffee has 100mg/8oz.
Answer: Yes. Traditional green tea has a bit of caffeine. But not as much as black tea.
Answer: Yes it does. All teas contain caffeine unless the have gone through a chemical process to remove it
Answer: Yes. However, I am caffeine sensitive and it's not enough to bother me at all.
Answer: Yes.
Answer: Yes, it does
Q:
The "product details" section shows 1 lb but the illustration shows 8 oz/227 g. What is the actual weight?
Answer: You always have to watch the weights and the pictures. You can tell by the price too. It is always confusing and takes some time to choose the size you want. I go by the product heading 456 grams is the 1 lb size. It is running about $11.00. The 8oz is about $8.00. So if you like the tea go for the 1 lb or 456 gram. It is the best price. I sort of ignore the pictures. I have an Amazon store and putting up products is a real chore as the pictures all have to be Photoshopped (they must have white edges). I think they just put up any picture that they have.
Answer: Huge can. Lovely tin. One pound. This is a wonderful tea. I use the spoon type infuser. Hope I was helpful. Just checked the tin. 1 pound. 454 grams.
Answer: The tea weighs 8 ounces. One pound would most likely be the shipping weight.
Answer: The one I got really is a big one, definitely not just 8 ounces. It really is one pound of dried tea leaves.
Answer: Make sure the description is the weight you want. I have purchased both size and have never had a problem getting the correct size. They may have just pulled a picture from the internet.
Answer: It is one pound. The tea is in a really attractive box that is about 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide.
Answer: See if you can contact the seller to double check.
Q:
Which seller can i trust to send me non-counterfeit product? ngv nation sent me counterfeir jasmine tea and it's "ineligible for returns" so scammed.
Q:
Can anyone open the box and take a picture for inside to let's know what look like for the real tea?
Answer: I noticed that the four star customer review by Stephen Allen has such a photo. I can confirm that my tin of Sunflower Jasmine Tea looks the same way. There is a round plastic stopper that has to be removed to get to the tea leaves. The photograph is taken after the plastic stopper has been removed.
Q:
Is this tea certified organic
Answer: I think if this tea were certified organic, it would have a bright-colored sticker on the tin to announce that, but I can't be 100% certain because much of the writing is in Chinese calligraphy. The address given is Fujian Tea Import & Export Co., Ltd, No. 23 Fuxing Road, Fuxing Investment Zone, Gushan Town, Jin'an District, Fuzhou, China. It's great tea with a wonderful flavor!
Answer: no
Q:
What Are The Benefits Of Using This Product?
Answer: I mean it's green tea scented with Jasmine flowers, the benefits associated with it will be comparable to standard green tea. So mostly just antioxidants and stress relief.
Answer: That is a big question. You will find it answered on my website at this address: https://kevinfitzmaurice.com/lists-and-links/green-tea-pages/green-tea-health-benefits/
Q:
Can I put the tea leaves on a styrofoam cup and pour hot water from water cooler?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Get a tea infuser to hold the leaves and then pour hot water in cup, or else you will be drinking loose leaves!
Answer: no tea needs to steam you need something to hold tea leaves
Answer: I don't know. Can you?
Q:
Can this be for iced tea?
Answer: Yes. It makes delicious iced tea. Don’t make too strong or steep too long so it isn’t bitter. I love iced jasmine tea.
Answer: Yes, that was what I originally bought it for having had a jasmine milk tea with boba and loved it. It tasted just like it.
Answer: Yes, it ok for hot & ice
Answer: been doing that for years...............
Q:
Sellers only: which one of you doesn't have this item set as "ineligible for returns"? ngv nation sent me counterfeit product so who of you canitrust?
Q:
Is Jasmin tea same as green? What is the difference between two?
Answer: It’s green tea with Jasmine flower
Answer: "Jasmine tea is tea scented with aroma from jasmine blossoms to make a scented tea. Typically, jasmine tea has green tea as the tea base; however, white tea and black tea are also used."
Q:
What are the dimensions of the tin?
Answer: the half pound tin is 3.25" square, 4.25" tall the full pound tin is almost 4" square, 5.5" tall
Answer: The container measures 4.25 inches high x 3.4 inches x 3.4 inches
Q:
Does this contains leaves and twigs? good quality jasmine tea only contains flowers
Answer: Yes. It does contains some leaves & twigs, but you can make a good tea cup with it. Is the same tea you can get in Chinese restaurants. It is a loose leaves tea.
Answer: This is green tea with lots of twigs. In my opinion it does not contain enough jasmine flowers, aroma, or flavor to qualify as "jasmine". Cheap price and poor quality.
Answer: I Love Sunflower Jasmine tea - it is difficult to tell if it has leaves and twigs from jasmine because it is also mixed with green tea. All I know is that when you open the container you get that wonder smell of jasmine. You have to be careful when you brew it, because if you brew green tea too long its flavor goes off. This is my favorite everyday jasmine tea. If you want something fancy guaranteed that someone hand picked through to get only the flowers I think you would probably have to spend more money. This tastes amazing and the price is great.
Answer: Yes it does contain leaves & twigs. This is the tea you would get in an average Chinese restaurant.
Answer: We only bought one canister so far, but the tea is very good. Our batch has only a few small "twigs," I believe it's a high quality tea. I wouldn't say it had "lots."
Answer: It also had twigs and leaves.
Q:
How does the regular compare to the premium product?
Answer: I did not know that there was a premium to compare to a regular product. We have bought Sunflower Jasmine Tea for may years in a 1 pound yellow tin like the photo, and we are pleased with it.
Answer: I've gotten both, and we (3) can't tell difference. Save $ buy the non premium.
Answer: Looking at the contents of the 2 cans side by side, and tasting side by side, I was unable to discern any difference at all.
Q:
Is This Decaffeinated?
Answer: No , I don’t think so.
Answer: No
Q:
Does this can come with shrink wrap as shown in the photo?
Answer: Yes
Q:
what is the difference between this yellow tin and the more $ red tin by same mfgr?
Q:
Does this canister have shrink wrap on it as shown?
Answer: There is a plastic seal outside. There is also paper covering the tea inside. The tin is reusable and attractive.
Answer: Yes. And the tea inside was packaged in plastic as well.
Answer: Yes, it does.
Q:
Does anyone know if this is gluten free? Or how to contact the company?
Q:
Does this have a strong or mild jasmine flavor? Is it bitter?
Answer: The tea I received has a mild Jasmine flavor. I have used it for years. It only would be bitter if you over-steeped the tea, or put in too much for the water you had. Which would be with any tea.
Answer: The jasmine flavor is mild and does not get stronger if you steep it longer. The tea itself causes bitterness if it is allowed to steep too long or if you use too much tea to brew your cup of tea.
Answer: As with any tea, the longer you steep it the stronger and more bitter it will become. But I find this tea to be a very flavorful, but mild tea. Hope this helps and sorry for the delay in my response.
Answer: Strong, and in my opinion, a bit bitter. A shame, really, because it looks like they're using decent-quality tea leaves.
Answer: very mild - only bitter if you let it steep too long - I love it & add a little honey
Answer: It has a very light flavor. I like it both hot and cold. Never feel the need for sweetener, but is does pair well with honey.
Q:
Can I store an one pound of bay leaves in this tin? Thank you.
Q:
Can this Be used as ice tea?
Answer: Yes. It can. Due to it is a kind of green tee, it will be an ice tee with green tee taste. In US, ice tee was made by black tee.
Answer: I imagine so, but not as sun tea (you'd have to steep it and then cool it). But it's very good tea.
Answer: I believe it will be a great ice tea. I love it hot and plan to try it for summer iced.
Answer: Yes. I brew in all the time in an ice tea brewer.
Answer: Yes, it can.
Q:
is this tea tested for pesticides and heavy metals?
Answer: I don't know. I drink it at least two times a day every day. I've used most of the tin. So far, I haven't had any ill effects.
Answer: I drank this for years but quit drinking it because of this concern. The food standards in China are not clear to me and there seems to be no third party report.
Q:
Can someone who received authentic product tell me which seller you used? ngv nation sent me counterfeit garbage tea with no refund possible.
Q:
do you put it in water or somewhere to strain it?
Answer: You can put some tea to tea pot and then add hot water in - wait about 5-7 min and can serve by hot tea or add some ice for ice tea.
Answer: You brew it using a tea or coffee maker with paper filters. It needs to steep somehow. You could theoretically pour hot water through a strainer with the leaves, or possibly use a tea ball. I have boiled these leaves before, but its IMPOSSIBLE to filter out all of the 'silt' and particulate if you do it that way. Even if you strain it with paper filters, you will end up with a lot of sediment at the bottom of the jug or container when it sits. It will also make the tea SUPER strong (which I like) if you boil loose leaves. I recommend an ice tea maker or restraunt style coffee maker.
Answer: I bring it to a boil shut it off andlet it steep. Then use a strainer when pouring into my cup.
Answer: Yes, I use a tea strainer. It's very good tea.
Answer: Used in an ice tea brewer
Q:
Were the leaves pan fried, steamed, or roasted?
Answer: Hoji cha, a Japanese tea popular in sushi bars, is roasted green tea with s distinctive flavor. This tastes nothing at all like that. So I am convinced it is not roasted. There is nothing in the packaging to suggest streaming or pan frying either. The package and vendor say it is green tea with Jasmine flowers added. I believe them.
Answer: I'm sorry I have no idea
Answer: Maybe
Q:
What is the difference between the yellow and red tins of this brand? The blue tin claims to be premium with more jasmine flavor. Any answers?
Answer: Did not have the yellow, But to me the blue lacked jasmine flavor. If the yellow is Lese, you probably cannot to taste it at all.
Q:
My tea arrived with broken seal and tea in package. . Was this a returned canister?
Q:
Sellers: which one of you purchases sunflower jasmine tea directly from the manufaturer? one seller sold me counterfeit, 2ndhand supplier?
Q:
Is this tea an appetite suppressant?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: I would say no as it contains caffeine, it has never suppressed my appetite. It has a very nice mild flavor. I enjoy it using my french press!
Answer: Not that I know of. It's just delicious jasmine tea.
Answer: Nope... it does go well with almond cookies however. All unsweetened teas may be considered to alleviate hunger IF consumed warm or hot. The moment you put anything in the tea that has any type of sweetness of any kind (including milk) all bets are off. Plus there are much better teas out there. Hope this helps.
Product reviews of Sunflower Jasmine Tea 1 LB (454 g)
mmmonte : Wtf
For some reason this is what I received I'm not sure what it is but it definitely doesn't make Tea!
Grand Imagineer : Great flavor when new enjoy it while it's fresh
I really liked this tea when I first opened the tin. It is packaged well with an outer tin top and an inner plastic resealable cover. I would suggest that if you purchase this product you keep it cool and use it in a short span of time. Although packed well it seemed to be less flavorable the longer it is stored. I left it out on the kitchen counter and as I used it over a month or so it lost that full Jasmine aroma when brewed. I still rate it in my top 3 types of bulk tea.
Eddy : Very nice flavor
When brewed correctly is makes delicious iced Tea - that is how I found it - A local Asian Restaurant serves this tea.
Norminha Portuguese : Great taste at any time of the day!!!
I just love the flavor of Sunflower Jasmine Tea! With a hyper thyroid, I cannot drink my coffee, yet. To have a little caffeine after I get up, I ordered this tea, based on good reviews and I could not be more satisfied! It provides a reasonable amount of caffeine ---which it is needed--- but it does not interfere much with my recovery. I got used to tea that I think I cannot go back to coffee. I've ordered twice since I realized I cannot drink coffee.
Satisfied : Change review
I ordered the same jasmine tea several years ago and was delighted with the fragrance and taste. This batch is not the same high quality. The fragrance is more subtle and the flavor has a bitter edge. Ordered a pound expecting it to be the same. That was a mistake and a waste.
Michael & Saige : One of The Best
This is one of the best bang-for-your buck teas you can get online. The taste is immense and the quality/cleanliness is superb. They fill this container almost to the brim, and cap it off with a plastic seal that keeps the item fresh.
On a side note, the container is really cool-looking. I reuse them for crafts storage.
Panda : Love the floral
I bought this for my dad, who loves Jasmine Tea, this one in particular has rich floral flavor that you can smell it. The tea itself is great, a little bit bitter at first, but then it comes with sweetness from the root of the tongue, along with saliva at the side of the tongue. Great tea.
Kent : ????
One of my favorite tea's, the label on top of the tin says it's new, so that's a plus!???? flavor & Aroma is fantastic.
Dawn : The scent and taste of jasmine!!
I love this tea. I love the taste of jasmine green tea. Full of flavor and the leaves are fresh and long lasting to make even 3 pots of tea. The value of what you get in this beautiful tin container is enough to last 6mths or more depending on how often you drink the tea its filled the rim of the container. Not one thing wrong with this tea. The scent of jasmine is exhilarating.
BougieBoho : Wonderfully Strong Jasmine!
Updated
Was disappointed at first, bc though it smelled amazing, it was very weak in flavor. Turns out that was just the top inch or so and once I was farther into the can it was DELICIOUS! Ordered a second time and this one was perfect.

Stephen P. Douglass : The Real Thing
I bought a metal can (how to properly store tea) of this tea (supposedly) from my local Asian market. I would swear it was fake... a knock-off. This new purchase is great. The tea is fresh, aromatic, strong and tastes great. I strongly recommend THIS tea, from THIS seller.
XRX 150 Team Member : The real Deal
Good quality, great taste
Kevin E. Fitzmaurice : Great Jasmine Tea; Great Price
Great Jasmine Tea; Great Price
This is a quality jasmine tea. Unlike many jasmine teas, the addition of jasmine flowers neither interferes with nor overwhelms the green tea taste. It is a strong tea.
No, this is not one of the highest and most expensive jasmine teas that sit next to jasmine flowers to absorb their fragrance over time. This is like most jasmine teas: some jasmine flowers are mixed in with the tea. I will continue to buy and use this tea because of its quality, taste, price, and reusable container.
This tea comes in the best tea container I have purchased tea with. It comes in a tin that is designed with another seal under the tin’s top or lid. This is double protection from light, moisture, and heat. You will want to save and reuse these tins for your other teas by adding a different label to the front of the tin after the jasmine tea is used up.

JGonBoard : Best Tasting and Quality Tea
I Love the Jasmine Flavor of this Green Tea. This makes the most Delicious Tasting Kombucha and a Nice Relaxing Midday Tea Time. I was so glad when it came back out again. This has become my favorite brand!!❤❤ Try it out for yourself ????????
Jack : I enjoy it hot or iced
Ignore the package instructions and brew it for ~2 minutes at 160-175 degrees F (70-80 degrees C). I enjoy it hot or iced. The jasmine flavor is fairly light, but this is a pleasant tea. My partner had one whiff of it in the tin and pronounced it "Chinese restaurant tea -- but this is a good thing, I love Chinese restaurant tea!" Incidentally, it is well-packaged; there is the tin itself, and a plastic "lid" inside that snaps into the circular opening, making it much more airtight than it might appear. It's not expensive Jasmine pearls, but I knew that when I ordered it.
Overall, I am really pleased with this, especially for the price, and will order it again. It's a lot of tea, but we drink a lot of tea!
Horus Amazon : To the trash! Mostly counterfit
Most possibly a counterfit!!! The paper lid is cut by hand. Do not buy from this seller. No returns allowed.
Kindle Customer : A subtle-flavored, nice basic Chinese tea.
This loose tea comes in a tin that seals tightly, with both a fitted lid and an inner plastic lid, a thoughtful touch that sets up a good experience all the way around. It smells good just in the tin, but in the cup it brews up a good golden-brown color with a very subtle jasmine scent and a pleasing body. It tastes great both unsweetened and sweetened (with honey, Splenda, or sugar in my household's case) and equally good hot, lukewarm, and iced, but I'm not sure I'd put milk in it. Not only is it economical to buy, it re-steeps very well. It being a green tea, it's not nearly as caffeinated as black teas, so it can be drunk pretty much whenever you want it.
I've seen people object to it on the basis that it doesn't contain a lot of flowers and isn't strongly-flavored of flowers. Both of these things are true, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's not made to be a super-strong jasmine tea and it doesn't pretend to be one. It's meant to be a very drinkable tea that goes well with a variety of foods (especially Asian ones, go figure). It tastes exactly like the tea I got at Chinese dim sum places and in Chinatown in one of the large cities I used to call home.
This isn't a knock-you-off-your-seat strong tea, but for those times when you just want a basic tea to drink, this is the one. I drank it for years when I lived near an Asian market, and now that I don't have such easy access, I'm delighted to discover it for sale on Amazon. In short, if you want a super-flowery tea filled with dried flowers, this probably won't be your cuppa. If you want a basic tea that tastes great, has a subtle jasmine scent and taste, doesn't get you jittery, and goes well with food, you might like this a lot.
Kevin Oliver : My go-to
You can certainly find nicer jasmine tea for the conoisseur, but it’s hard to beat this one as a standard everyday drinker. It tastes the way it’s supposed to, has good longevity, and it’s good both hot- and cold-brewed. I like to keep a tin of this stuff in the cabinet year-round.
troy l miller : Without any question the best value in tea
This product is well behind it's price invade. I would pay twice as much as I paid for this product. I suggest this to any do you love her and to any person that is not familiar with the benefits of good jasmine tea.
amazonuser : Most likely a counterfeit, extremely poor quality tea, burnt, no jasmine, junk tea. SEND REFUND, NGV NATION.
Counterfeit product. Ineligible for return or refund. "NGV Nation" seller won't respond to my emails. I did a side-by-side comparison of the one received by NGV Nation and the one I bought from a local store that I've been buying from for 10 years (H-Mart, seems they stopped stocking it recently so I tried here). The tin looks right but the plastic inner-lid is made from a different density of plastic and was roughly cut with loose tags of plastic still on it. The paper pamphlet was printed on a different type of crisper paper with a sharp fold on it and the color of the inks was all much, much darker (red, green, even black inks were noticeably and vastly different shades). The tea inside had more twigs than the real version. The smells was awful, no flowery light sweetness...just an acrid, burnt, unpleasant stink. The tea when steeped made a crappy, cloudy dark brown color instead of the lovely rosey tone of the real version. Very strikingly different. The tea also tasted like burnt tea with almost a hollowness to it, if you know what I mean (like chicken bone broth that's been overcooked and has a pink cloudy hue to it instead of the golden, dense hue of low-temperature steeping for broth).
Overall, this is some pure junk that is so far from being the same product that I think it's a counterfeit. Good work on the yellow tin, but everything else, all tellingly on the inside under the lid, was garbage. I'd still like a full refund, NGV Nation.
alicia : Favorite tea
My mother and daughter drink this tea all the time. They love it! Fresh and very good. Giftable for tea loving friends/family!
Q : cheaper in stores
The tea is actually pretty good. I actually bought 3 other cans but from local chinese grocery stores. It's cheaper to buy in store than on Amazon.

R. Buehler : Tasty tea.
Just what I was looking for, flavorful tasty tea.
Monster Mom : Perfect daily tea in a tin
Daily/regular tea with asian meal. After read a review by Chinese American saying this tea is just like the one he drinks in China so why not? I like making it to cold tea (no ice.)
Gamz : just right
One of my upmost favorite tea's, and brands. I've been buying it gor a few years, and have no complaints.
Joan : Love tea!
I liked this tea because I can actually taste the jasmine and most other teas it’s so mild I can hardly taste jasmine.
I did have a problem once where I received my tea opened with seal broken and tea falling out of tin and I had to throw it out. And I was not able to return it, so I like this tea so much and I’ve received previously in immaculate condition that I ordered again the very same day and I have high hopes I will receive it as I did before.
M. Anderson : Not for me
A friend recommended this tea to me after telling her how much I enjoy Jasmine tea. The taste is horribly bitter IMO. The scent while it is steeping is heavenly, but the taste is anything but. I tried several different cups using varying amounts of loose tea and varying my steeping time. Nothing took away the bitterness. Mine is going straight in the trash.
truebluejay : Delicious!
Tastes great, nice sized leaves—they generally stay in the strainer (I have a few with different sized holes but haven’t had a problem with a ton of leaves at the bottom of my cup like I have with some other loose teas). This is one of my favorite teas now.
Luke Hebert : Great tea
Makes a fine cup of tea in my humble opinion! I love Jasmine tea and I don't mind the jasmine "scented" version like this one. Gave one to my Vietnamese father-in-law as a gift once
Michael Reeves : Delicious
I like this tea. Very tasty. Thanks, Mike
Luke Hebert : Great tea
Makes a fine cup of tea in my humble opinion! I love Jasmine tea and I don't mind the jasmine "scented" version like this one. Gave one to my Vietnamese father-in-law as a gift once
You will want to save and reuse these tins for your other teas by adding a different label to the front of the tin after the jasmine tea is used up.
troy l miller : Without any question the best value in tea
This product is well behind it's price invade. I would pay twice as much as I paid for this product. I suggest this to any do you love her and to any person that is not familiar with the benefits of good jasmine tea.
Michael Pemulis : Not actually jasmine tea
I probably should have paid attention to the other reviews. Whatever this tea is, it is certainly not the jasmine that I remember it being. Opening the tin, I caught a whiff of a maltiness that was more reminiscent of oolong than jasmine. The tea itself doesn't actually seem to include jasmine flowers. And, after brewing an experimental glass, it tasted like a mediocre black tea.
On the plus side, there's a lot of it, and it would probably be slightly acceptable were it sold as something other than jasmine.
mmmonte : Wtf
For some reason this is what I received I'm not sure what it is but it definitely doesn't make Tea!
socalheart : Grandma's Tea
This is tea like my grandma used to have in her cupboard but bigger.
Happyguy : Great tasting tea if prepared properly.
Goji berries add a pleasant tast to this tea. The tea has a nice jasmine flavor.
Wuyi mountain in fujian province China is where I learned to appriciate good teas. I went on a guided tour of the largest tea farm in Wuyishan. They show how to pick the leaves by hand. Then they had a one on one class on how to brew the tea. You were served a number of different types of tea to taste. All of the teas were loose leaf. Oolong tea tasted the best.
As an Expat living in Chine for 5 years I drank a lot of different teas with friends.
The way they brewed tea was always the same. They added loose leave tea into a large cup then added boiling water and put a lid on the large cup. Then they threw the water out not the tea then they added more boiling hot water. Once the leaves were on the bottom of the cup with water they would serve you from the large cup into small porcelain cups. They would add boiling water to the large cup and serve you more tea. They would get up to five servings of teas from from the same leaves. Usually the third cup was the best tasting.
I prepare my Jasmine tea the same way. If done correctly the tea will stay on the bottom of the cup. I can get 5 coffee mugs of tea from the same tea leaves. You have to add boing water so the tea does not float. I add Goji berries to the tea for an added flavor.
Jack Friday : Jasmine Tea
Doesn’t taste close to real jasmine tea.
Jersey Girl : Lovely tea, easy to drink and to enjoy
I bought this to blend with some lavender to make jasmine and lavender tea. I read the reviews and tried to keep my steeping time to 3 - 4 minutes (not the 5 minutes recommended by the company). Likewise, I used 1.5 rounded teaspoons full in a tea ball. To that I added 3 - 5 little lavender blossoms. Lavender can be overpowering so err on the short side if you do this. Second and third steeping were for 5 minutes (or when I remembered I had tea steeping). This makes a fine cup of tea and has the faint (not overpowering) scent of jasmine. My only mild complaint is that this tea kept me up. Not sure what the caffeine count is, but the tea was good enough that I ignored having the occasional disruption to my sleep. I would certainly recomment this tea. If you like floral teas, it's an excellent base to add rose petals or lavendar or other blossoms.
Parler_User : Strong jasmine taste
This is delicious jasmine tea. Very flowery tasting. 2nd steeping is just as good as the first. Will buy again.

Valentina : Dont buy
Really disappointed. I had almost identical jar of jasmine tea made by another company and it was so perfect. This tea barely smells of jasmine. I need way more if it to taste the jasmine too. I wont buy this again.
Lost in Amazon : Wonderful refreshing jasmine tea
I'm really enjoying this jasmine tea and find it's had somewhat of an addictive effect on me. I make a large pot mixed with 2 gynostemma tea bags in the morning and drink throughout the day until gone. Most mornings I find the craving for the lovely fragrance and the refreshing and invigorating flavor pulls me from bed and to the kitchen, so eager for my tea. It has the best flavor and aroma of any jasmine tea I've ever tried, phenomenal price too! So glad I've found it.
kate : It’s a strong tea , so a little goes a long way
My friend loved it , Lavender an this brand is her favorite tea. An she was surprised that I got her a large can
R. Kent Jones : We love this tea
This is an outstanding Jasmine tea. If you're looking for a non-caffeinated tea this is for you as the tea is inexpensive tea with a smooth relaxing flavor then you well love this tea.
Carole Uremovich : Robust Green Jasmine Tea
I love loose Jasmine Tea steeped in my cup.
When I couldn’t get my favorite I decided to try Sunflower Jasmine Tea as it was authentic Chinese Packing. The taste is very satisfying. Perhaps a little stronger than my regular Rishi. I would buy it again and can recommend it.
