Answer: There is no dates on the tin. The tea looked and tasted very fragrant and fresh. I would recommend it.

I frequent Chinatown and authentic Chinese restaurants (where I could hardly communicate in English) whenever I could, and this tea definitely tastes just like the diluted pot of tea the restaurants serve on table for you to pour your own. I've tried so many Jasmine teabag products, but it was never quite right until I tried this loose leaf product. It may not be the most high-end Jasmine tea, but it's what I prefer to drink many cups of on daily basis. You don't have much to lose at this low price, and I make my big pot of tea with to emulate the restaurant experience.

Good stuff!! Less is more with this loose tea. It can get a little bitter if you leave the tea leaves steeping too long. Make a smaller pot and add more boiling water as you need it, rather than making a large pot and allowing the tea leaves to continue to soak.

I brewed this particular tea in a cast-iron Tetsubin, and my God, it is probably the best tea I have ever tasted. VERY floral, and great color. You will NOT be disappointed with this!

It's a decent jasmine tea. Not as flowery as some from other brands. Its a green tea base and has jasmine infusion. It's cheap and that's why I bought it. I will buy Jasmine Chun hao or Jin hao from another dealer instead next time.

I LOVE this tea. I had never tried jasmine tea before and I read some of the other reviews which prompted me to try this brand. I am glad I did! First, the scent is heavenly. It smells like a field of jasmine flowers. In fact, I want to wear it!! The tea brews a delicate, pale colored tea that tastes sweet enough to me that I don't even use any sweetener and again, I could just keep my nose stuck in my cup for the fragrance alone!! I think this might make a good ice tea as well, very refreshing for summer. I will definitely be buying this again.

I'm in love with this tea! I ordered it on a Thursday and it was here the following Monday. The scent of the jasmine flowers is so lovely and the flavor is very good. Getting a tea this good for this price is amazing, and half a pound of it, no less! I like that the tin comes with a seal to keep the tea fresh. I'll definitely be ordering this again in the future. I prepare this tea by heating water to 175F and steeping 2tsp until it's strong enough for me.

JJ : Tea: good...Packaging: needs improvement

The last time I had tea this good was in a Chinese restaurant. And the time before that was decades ago when a friend from Hong Kong presented me with a tin of Jasmine tea similar to this one.
I don't remember how hard or easy it was to open that tin from Hong Kong, but this tin of Sunflower Jasmine tea was extremely difficult for me to open.
I guess to keep the loose teas in the tin fresh, it makes sense to seal it this way. But as I have a touch of arthritis and that made opening this tin a real challenge.
But once opened, I found the tea to be every good as the tea you'd find in a Chinese restaurant.
5 Stars for the tea, with 1 star removed for having to struggle to get it out!
