What are the tea bags made of? Do they contain bleach or the k own carcinogen used by other manufacturers?

Answer: Harney & Sons’ paper tea bags are compostable, oxygen bleached with a method that does not produce dioxins, there is no epichlorohydrin, PET, or PLA in our paper tea bags. They offer a variety of certified organic teas in them.

How is supreme different from regular Earl Grey? is it flavor?something else? does supreme come in decaf tea bags?

Answer: The supreme has a slightly stronger bergamot flavor. As far as I know, it does not come in decaf, but regular earl grey does.

What Color Is It?

Answer: A normal shade of tea color....brownish.

Answer: My tea is a very pale lime green when brewed in a clear cup; no hint of brown.

Has anyone tried the tropical green tea? i just wonered if it taste like wendys tropical green tea.

Answer: I don’t unfortunately taste the pineapple or even remind me of the tropics. If you like green tea, I don’t .. but this is with an exception of the only green tea I like.

Answer: I haven't had the Stash tea so I can't tell you that, but i can say that this tea is as strong and dark as the tea I had in Ireland, and that is unusual for an American tea. This is a very cream-friendly morning cup.

Why does the product information state that the peppermint is sourced from oregon, yet the box i received says "from washington state"?

Answer: My guess is that the peppermint is grown in Oregon but packaged in Washington. The two states share a border so this isn’t unreasonable.

Is the hot cinnamon spice in bags just as spicy as this brand in pods?

Answer: If you mean the sachet when you say pod, then I would answer that the pod has a depth of flavor and freshness that I don't find in the tea bag. The tea bag is tasty but the sachet has a certain magic to the cinnamon, that briefly stays on the tongue as it goes down.

Answer: This is NOT full leaf tea. It is the same flavoring but in the tin is a much higher grade of tea.

What's the difference between a bag in a sachet

Answer: sachet is another (fancy) word for bag.

Answer: The silken sachets contain full leaf tea rather than tea dust. Sachets thus contain much high quality of the tea hence making a better cup.

Answer: The sachet is a very fine mesh material. If I am giving as a gift, I do the sachet because they make it feel special.

How does the hot cinnamon spice tea bags differ from the sachets?

Answer: One is the traditional flat rectangular shape, the sachets are more three dimensional. In kind of a triangular shape.

Answer: Individually wrapped paper tea bags. There is another listing for wrapped silken triangle shaped sachets.

Answer: The way it is displayed is different from when I purchased it. I purchased 6 boxes (20 bags each). Meaning a total of 120 tea bags for around that price. I think they mis-advertised.

Answer: The one I had was raspberry flavor. It was delicious with a bit of honey.

How does this compare to Premium Japanese Sencha Green Tea from YamaMotoYama?

Answer: They seem fairly similar to me - some differences from batch to batch in either line but other than the Harney, the YamaMotoYama is the only other really nice sencha I've found locally. In fact, it's the one I usually buy since I can find it more easily.

The Hot Cinnamon Spiced tea was very disappointing. Even after using 2 bags in one cup it was like drinking slightly cinnamon flavored water. It is a very weak tea. I ended up just pouring it out.

While I like black tea, it really dries my mouth out. And I avoid many herbal teas either because I don't care for the flavor or because of potential interactions with medication. A friend told me this "tea" was tasty and did not dry out the mouth. So I ordered some to give it a try.

It tastes great, and does not need sweetening, although it does taste good with honey or sugar. Finally, a hot drink I can enjoy! And no more dry mouth.

Well it is tea and good tea at that. On the easy side the sealed packages are easy to open. I drop one in a cup of cold filtered water and place the duo on high for 90 secs. Let it set for a few mints while making your toast(peanut butter and pineapple jam). Pull the Tea bag up and down 15 times or the number of days on your birthday plus or minus 7. English style with some milk or a bit of sugar(1/2 t) and some fresh lemon. My Welsh/Scottish parent would not agree with the method but works for me. Same write up for the English Breakfast Tea. Cheers!

This is a good rooibos tea. It has a nice robust flavor and, although I usually like to use loose leaf rooibos, the teabags are convenient to use when you don't want to mess with a steeping basket and just want a quick cup of tasty tea.

I got the Japanese Sencha teabags. Title says it all. A little dilute if you put too much water. This tea holds me over when I am waiting for a shipment of nicer loose leaf tea, but not something I would reach for every day. A little bitter when you use not enough water too.

My coworker goes on and on about this tea so I thought I would give it a try. It is SUPER cinnamon-ish. It is a strong flavor. It tastes like red hot candies. I can see it being a nice winter tea and would go good with hot cider.

Or it would add great flavor to homemade ice cream if you steamed the milk/cream with one bag. It would be great.

It is December and cold. This cinnamon tea is good in the winter. I add a t honey and a splash of cream and it is pretty good. It can be over powering if you leave the bag in the cup too long.

Harmonium : A sweet, pineapple treat. I've been drinking this tea for years

Harney & Sons Tropical Green Tea is a nostalgic beverage to me. I used to work at a coffee shop where we sold this tea. The fruity pineapple aroma and warmth of the drink brings me back to that era and reminds me of the people I used to see every day.

If you like green tea and are looking to try something new, this tea is a pretty safe bet. It has a combination of flavors that are unique yet do not relinquish the underlying green tea flavor. The fruity flavor is not overbearing and you will probably find that you go through this tea very quickly. There are other craftsmen green teas with similar flavor but a lot of them cost more with no improvement on the quality.

If you’re watching your caffeine note that this tea has about 30 to 50 milligrams of caffeine per teabag. It does have a kick to it and I like to drink it early in the morning. As with most green teas, the tannins will dry your mouth out a little bit. Keep this in mind. You will probably want to follow up your morning tea for with some gum or mints.

Honestly, most people have told me that this tea tastes great even without sugar. As a personal preference I always drink my tea unsweetened. So as to experience the unadulterated flavors. The pineapple is just sweet enough without being too overbearing. Harney & Sons participate in the 1% for the planet organization, and while this is not a fair trade product they are environmentally conscious and I believe they use quality ingredients.

I keep coming back to this tea, year after year. I have noticed that the flavors and quality have not wavered over the years, from batch to batch. I'm sure I have sampled many batches and they are very consistent in delivering quality. It is hard to find this tea in stores. I do hope they continue to manufacture this tropical delight because I will keep buying it as long as it's around!

LOVE this tea! I wish that it also came in a caffeine free black tea as I'm caffeine sensitive so can only enjoy an occasional cup. I had this when back home in NY state fall. It was served at a small cafe and I enjoyed it so much that I ordered some and a friend ordered some for me, as well. Def will order more.

I had this tea while staying at Hotel El Convento in Old San Juan. I usually don't like green tea, but find the health benefits desirable. I find that it doesn't need sugar or other additives. The scent of this tea is so pleasing, it makes for a very enjoyable beverage! You are mentally transported to a coastal retreat- nice! I would highly recommend, especially if you want to add green tea to your diet, but don't like the taste.

I love Harney and Sons, but I'm not fond of this. It's not bad, just not anything special. Try their Earl Gray or Cinnamon Spice; loose leaf is best, but the kind in the little fabric bags is next best. Forgo the kind like this that come in the traditional paper bags. I never would have thought it made a difference, but it does.

First of all - I'm a huge coffee drinker. I have tried multiple times (and failed) over the years to reduce my coffee consumption and replace with green tea.

Harney & Sons produce some good teas for the money. Not the best teas around, but readily available at reasonable prices. The Earl Grey Supreme has more bergamot than other Earl Greys I've had, which makes it more citrusy and peppery. Not my favorite tea, but makes an enjoyable cup in the afternoons.

This used to be my absolute favorite tea, but the flavor is just not there anymore. Used to be a robust, tangy tea but now it’s quite bland.

this is the best tasting tea I ever had! it tastes so good, almost a nice floral fruity flavor, very smooth and authentic rooibos taste. I love the smell of it and it really calms my anxiety and can help with the skin and women's hormone problems as well. I will continue to buy this brand. Other rooibos tea brands I tried the flavor was too cardboard like and bad after-taste, but this rooibos tea is smooth, fruity and floral like true rooibos plant. Good stuff!

This is my first red rooibose and i don't like it. It seems like a quality product I just don't like the herb taste. It's very different than regular black tea mixtures. It tastes medicinal. Personally I hate the smell the most. Adding sugar makes it worse but adding lemon makes it better. There's only a partial date of expiration on the box. The year is missing. This is the first time trying this brand. Packets are foil sealed for freshness.

This was the first time I had the red raspberry tea from Harney & Sons. I wanted to try it because I have really enjoyed their other teas. This one is a swing and a miss. The rose is overwhelming and it doesn't really taste like raspberry. I'm surprised I'm saying this, but I think the raspberry zinger from Celestial Seasonings is a much better raspberry tea as far as flavor goes. I'll drink this (probably), but I won't buy it again.

Bought four types of Earl Grey bagged tea and this was far and away the best, IMO. My son still loves the Stash Extra Bergamot, but I find it to have a slightly fake and overpowering flavor. The Harney & Sons has an assertive Earl Grey bergamot flavor that doesn't overwhelm the delicate flavor of the tea leaves. Buy with confidence.

Had my 2nd today and it tastes like green tea.. that's it. Nothing worth 6 bucks when you can get a better grade of Lipton or green tea for the same price that tastes better. Can't return it either which sucks. I don't plan on buying items like this from Amazon or this vendor again!

I tried this for the first time at a bookstore cafe and was blown away by how easily you could detect the flavors in this tea. One of the first things I tasted was pineapple, and I immediately fell in love with it. I don't add sweeteners or cream (but who adds cream to green tea?), and this tea is still stellar. I've tried it with honey as well as turbinado sugar and both taste great with this tea, I just prefer it without anything else. This is and will always be my go-to tea in the winter, and am almost positive will be having iced in the summer.
