I've been happy with the product in the past, but the most recent order consisted of mostly empty tea bags. Can I get a replacement?

what are the tea bags made of ?

Answer: They are sachets rather than tea bags. I am not sure of the material... but they are a cloth as opposed to paper.

Answer: I’m not sure. They are not tea bags, but sachets—they are larger, made of a silky feeling material, allowing water to circulate easily around the loose tea in the sachets. Very nice. Enhances the flavor.

Answer: They are some kind of fabric maybe nylon? I can't remember, because it's all gone!

The smell of this tea is amazing and very tropical. The flavor is subtle though. I wouldn't say pineapple like the description, or tropical, but fruity. I like especially with a splash of simple syrup. I have made this into a ice tea, and mixed with lemonade....amazing! I would by again, if the price is right.

I drink green tea more for the health benefits rather than the taste. A friend of mine recommended this particular tea because of richer, more full-bodied flavor. The tea comes in sachets "tea pig" bags which lends to a cleaner taste. I really like it, and I also like the packaging. The tea comes in a re-sealable bag, which Is a tighter seal (than boxes) for keeping the tea fresh.

I'm a regular drinker of the Harney & Sons green tea, Sencha; and I also like their Thai-flavored green tea. I usually prefer to order a smaller container of a new tea blend to see if I like it first before splurging on the 50-sachet bag; however, at the time I ordered, the Tropical sachets were only available in the larger size. Still, since I love their other green teas (plus I really like pineapple), I figured it was "no risk."

When I first tore the top off the bag, I was surprised by the VERY strong pineapple smell. I was relieved that the extreme pineapple aroma didn't carry through to an overwhelming pineapple taste, though. But, as far as the actual taste of the tea? Meh...not bad, but not as good as I had hoped or expected. Other reviewers mentioned loving it as iced tea. I can see how it would be good iced and with a bit of sugar or honey. I never use sweetener in my tea; but I did add a bit to one cup of hot tea and thought it did improve the taste.

As with the other Harney & Sons tea "sachets," the tea inside is comprised of lovely big pieces of leaves which allow you to get several cups out of one sachet. Much better than the crumbled, dried-up tea in a conventional bag. I'll finish this 50-sachet bag; but then I'm going back to the company's plain green, Sencha, and occasionally the Thai one. Also, one other issue that I have with the company's tea "blends" is that there is artificial flavoring added along with natural flavors. Since one of the reasons that I drink so much green tea is for health benefits, I wish they would stick with natural flavoring only. Oddly, the big bags of 50 sachets don't include an "ingredients" section. The company's pretty tins with 20 sachets do have an ingredient listing, and the blends that I've tried all have artificial flavors added. Probably not an issue for everyone; but some folks do like to avoid them.

This is my absolute favorite from Harney and Sons the Tropical green it is the most delicious of green teas I have ever had. You can taste the green and full blast of pineapple. I just love it.

The ingredients in this tea are wonderful... no soy lechitin, no hidden weird flavors. I have bought this sachet packet from Harney and Sons and also their foil-wrapped individual travel bags. Both are a great cup. Each bag can brew several servings before needing a new bag. Wonderful tea and wonderful brand.

My favorite tea from H&S, however, this (sachets) is certainly a lighter blend (less quality/quant?) as compared to the "traditional" tea bags. With the cost though, it's hard to economically beat this deal. If you prefer a more full body green tea and don't mind paying a little more, then I'd recommend the "traditional" tea bags from H&S. Otherwise, these simply do - well.

OMG, Love! This tea tastes fantastic! I use them in my tea maker vs. in a cup, and every time I do, the pitcher is gone in a few hours. Everybody loves it, even non tea people who stop by. Nice and fruity, but not too sweet or fake tasting, and I never have to add any sweeteners to it (for any variety of this brand actually). Only problem I have is finding more of it here on Amazon!

I have tried other teas from Harney and Sons and have been very happy with them. This tropical green is no different. Nice, full body flavor but not as bitter as some green tea can be. Slight hint of citrus. Each sachet makes two good cups.

It's very hard to keep in stock at home especially after they get a whif of the bag.
People seem to go crazy looking for it when they re-visit... almost like they are coming for the
tea.. and not me .....I'm afraid not to have it in stock.

Although I love this tea, I was very sad to receive it with big sticker on the front saying “best to be used by..” and the date was less than 4 months from when I bought it. Will not buy again...buyer beware of seller “foodbox!!!
