The listing on Amazon showed a photo of the box that said, "INGREDIENTS: DECAFFEINATED ORANGE PEKOE & PEKOE CUT BLACK TEA". This is the original blend that Red Rose always used. The orange pekoe makes all the difference. The box I received says "INGREDIENTS: DECAFFEINATED BLACK TEA" carefully hidden behind the bar code sticker and packer ID sticker. The Amazon listing also said the box contained a ceramic figurine. I have not removed the cellophane wrapper, but I do not hear anything when I shake the box, which, by the way, also WAS DELIVERED CRUSHED in a bubble envelope. I know this is not Red Rose Teas original blend because the box also has Facebook and Twitter logos on it. Too recent to be the original tea.

I bought this decaf tea as a substitute to the original in an effort to cut down my caffeine consumption. Unfortunately, it just does not measure up. It does, however, taste remarkably similar to the cheap Lipton tea bags that are used to make iced tea. So if you'd like to use them for that, then I'd highly recommend them! But if you want them for a nice hot cup of tea, then I'd give it a pass.
