Questions about Davidson's Tea Cinnamon Vanilla, 100-Count Tea Bags
Q:
Are the tea bags packaged separately with their own paper to tear off before steeping?
Answer: No. All tea bags are placed in a zipped plastic bag.
Answer: No, thankfully. All of the bags are in a large zip lock. Makes it so easy and trouble free. Love this tea!
Answer: No. These are loose, tagless teabags packaged in a large zip top bag.
Answer: No, they are packed in bulk in a large zip-lock bag.
Q:
How many ounces?
Answer: If you are asking about the whole box, I don't know how many ounces: it's got 100 tea bags, but it is not heavy to ship or store. Each tea bag - I still don't know - I usually make about 8 ounces of tea with each bag. They look pretty standard to me. I do not use them twice. Inside the box the tea bags are in a ziplock bag. I recycle the box and just use the bag - it's sturdy. BTW the tea bags do not have strings or individual wrappings. I like them that way, as we compost or recycle everything here.
Answer: 5.29 ozs for 100 tea bags, but each tea bag contains tea which goes longer. One can brew one bag and combine with a new bag for a second cup, and then combine the two used bags for a good third cup.
Answer: 5.29 oz.(150g) 100 unwrapped teabags in a plastic ziplock for freshness. I love this tea. My husband and I have a cup almost every night with a little manuka honey.
Answer: Net weight for 100 tea bags is 5.99 oz
Answer: Net weight is 5.29 oz
Answer: Around 16
Q:
Are the teabags unbleached?
Answer: I think by definition organic means unbleached bags. But.. the bags are white so I don't know for sure. I guess they make white unbleached bags.
Answer: The box on mine says they are oxygen bleached. It is my understanding that this means there is no chlorine bleach.
Q:
Where is the spearmint grown?
Answer: This is printed on the tea box, "Certified Organic By the Nevada Department of Agriculture". The tea website is: www.davidsonstea.com.
Q:
Wondering about the strength of the apricot tea? Anyone have any experience with the apricot flavor?
Q:
Is this green tea? Where can I get decaffeinated organic green tea?
Q:
This is still chinese dragon tea correct?
Q:
Why is there an overlapping of questions about peppermint and hibiscus? Should this page be only about peppermint
Q:
Are any of your "white teas" steamed whatsoever, and what is the highest temperature the tea is heated to? i'm looking for non-steamed white teas.
Q:
Is this actual yerba mate, or just "yerba mate flavored"?
Q:
Does this tea have green tea in it? I.e. Is this jasmine scented tea or jasmine tea?
Answer: Sorry, did not buy jasmine. Bought WILD STRAWBERRY which is black tea. Go online to Davidson's Tea website. It will tell you.
Q:
I saw that licorice root is an ingredient. Does this tea have a detectable licorice flavor to it?
Q:
What is the expiration date for this item?
Answer: Being an old country boy, we lived by the rule keep product in a tightly sealed container in a cool dry place it should last as long as you like. But once you start drinking this tea it may not last as long as you like to. Do expiration dates really matter on some products anyways?
Answer: My box says March 18th 2015 and I got it months ago.
Answer: Sept 25 2014
Q:
Does the Decaf Strawberry tea have any sweetener or sugars in it? I prefer unsweetened and looking for the scent, and not a sweet juice type drink.
Q:
Is there a reason why this particular flavor isn't available as Subscribe & Save? My dad's doing chemo & I'd like to be abe to order this regularly.
Q:
Has anyone tried the White Peach flavor? Is it good?
Answer: Yes, it's really good. I used to own a tea shop and my customers loved it.
Q:
Why is this tea called Meyer Lemon.. when there isn't any lemon in it at all? I'm so confused.
Answer: It must have lemon flavoring in it because it tastes like lemon. This is a great night time tea -full of flavor and no caffeine.
Answer: It is lemon flavored. I really liked it. It has been awhile since I drank it. I drink tea in the winter. I bought more of it. I believe it has a honey lemon flavor.
Answer: It comes from something called "citral," a molecular compound that gives lemons their fresh citrus smell. One of the ingredients is organic lemon myrtle which contains about 20 times more citral than a lemon.
Answer: There is lemon in the tea. Meyer lemon is a particular kind of lemon. This is a good tea worth trying.
Answer: I don't know why they call it Meyer Lemon. I can't taste any lemon in it. I like the slight honey taste so I drink it all the time. I had tasted it at a friends home before I bought it so I knew how it tasted. I would have been disappointed if I bought it thinking it was going to taste lemony. This is a question you must ask Davidsons Tea Co.
Answer: I'd have to assume it is because it tastes like it. Kind of like "cherry" Laffy Taffy. Clearly there isn't any actual cherry in it, but still just as delicious!
Q:
I’m confused - looking for plain decaf green, tea, but the color says “decaf vanilla” but the ingredients only says decaf green. Is it vanilla or not?
Q:
What is the "natural flavor" in this tea? Just chemicals?
Answer: No chemicals I believe it has nectar in it
Q:
I selected decaf vanilla but decaf green shows; which is this please?
Answer: what you picked is what youll get,if unsure check your invoice it'll tell you what will be sent,I always get Spearmint and thats what always comes never had an issue
Q:
is this a cleansing tea?
Q:
what is vanilla essence? Is it pure vanilla or vanillin flavor?

Q:
I know this is probably hard to do, but what does Tulsi tea taste like? Is it mild like the White Tea I am currently drinking?
Answer: Tulsi, also known as holy basil, can be a strong taste. It actually can have a bitter, astringent taste (but in a good way :) though it may be flavored with other stuff, tumeruc , ginger. It is supposed to aid digestion and detox.
Answer: It is mild and has the most unique taste I've experienced. It's got just a hint of sweet (Raspberry @ Caramel) and then you taste a pastry ... it's the craziest thing!!! So delicious
Answer: I can't help you. The tea was for someone else.
Q:
is this product from Taiwan/Formosa or from mainland China?
Q:
If this Tea is unwrapped and not separate bags how does it stay Fresh?
Answer: It is in separate tea bags which come in one big ziplock type bag which keeps it fresh. I was also initially concerned but absolutely no issues with it. Hope this helps.
Answer: Hi Crystal, The company packs all of the tea bags in a large Ziploc bag. I take out ten bags at a time and keep them in a sealed container at work. Then I squeeze the air out of the Ziploc bag and reseal it. Hope that helps!
Answer: It comes with a big bag inside the box to hold the teas.
Answer: I place about 2 weeks supply in a Ziploc bag.
Answer: I put it in a sealed glass jar
Q:
What are the ingredients for the jasmine flower tea?
Answer: Scroll down to the ingredients list. All items are listed.
Q:
do they use chemicals to decaffeinate?
Answer: I've only bought their White peach flavored tea, which is very subtle & nice. So I googled the tea you're interested in and it is decaffeinated with the CO2 process, or effervescence, so I believe that should be fine.
Answer:

Q:
What specifically are the " natural flavors " in Davidson Rooibos chai?
Q:
Is this tea packaged any other way? The ziplock looks dicey. Could be tampered with
Answer: the ziplock comes inside a box that is sealed with plastic wrap
Answer: We’ve bought a lot and it all comes that way, but it’s still delicious and no issues so far.
Q:
Where is this green tea grown?
Answer: Here is a page on the Davidson website that talks about where they buy their tea. http://www.davidsonstea.com/our-product-integrity.aspx
Q:
are the bags bleached? Thanks
Answer: According to the Davidson's website: "Our filter tea bags are FDA and USDA NOP approved oxygen bleached (no chemicals are used to treat/sanitize the filter bag) and even bio-degradable and compostable." Hope this helps.
Answer: Sorry, not sure about the bleaching, but they were excellent tea bags
Q:
Is it normal that the ziploc bag appears to have a lot of green powder in it?
Answer: my tea from Davidson's sometimes has fine powder inside the bag . . . I believe that is simply tea that is crushed very fine and filters through the paper of the tea bags.
Answer: My ziplock bag has no green power in it. Does the green powder in your bag match the contents of a tea bag when you break one open?
Answer: I don't remember the bag having a lot of powdered tea in it. The last time I purchased the Davidson spearmint tea bags was about a year ago. I now buy spearmint tea as loose tea (a bag of it has lasted more than a year & is much cheaper than buying tea bags).
Answer: Mine did not have loose green powder in the ziploc.
Answer: There was some loose in the bad but not a lot. Perhaps one of the bags burst!!
Answer: Yes, mine arrived that way too. It's just the finest of the spearmint pieces that fall out of the bags (the bags are still intact, there is just some tea so pulverized it can fit through the micro-holes in the teabags). It's delicious tea though!
Answer: Yes. I've ordered this about 5 times and it always has the powder residue.
Answer: I see no record of having bought this product. Sorry.
Q:
How much spearmint is in the "spearmint orange spice" compared to the regular "spearmint leaves" ?
Answer: Ii ordered gun metal black tea first and it was excellent. The spearmint was nice but did not overwhelm the orange.
Answer: Hard to answer since taste is so subjective. I have had both teas. The orange spice is quite evident to me with a hint of spearmint but orange spice tends to dominate almost anything in my opinion. Davidson's flavored teas are not overwhelming and that's why I drink them so I wouldn't be too concerned. They have the smaller sample packs if you want to try that flavor before buying. Personally, I usually just buy these flavors separately because I like spearmint by itself and then I can always add another flavor bag (lemon, orange spice) to it if I choose. Hope that helps.
Q:
Net weight of tea, please.
Answer: Others have stated the net weight is 5.29 oz. The standard weight for tea bags is 2 grams which would make the net weight about 7 oz for 100 bags.
Answer: I buy a different tea (South African Rooibos) from Davidson's, but I can tell you mine, 100-count tea bags, which is packaged in a box that looks exactly the one shown, weighs 5.29 oz (150G). I wouldn't think there would be that much difference in the weight of various teas, packaged in the same way, in the same facility. I hope that helps answer your question.
Answer: This tea was soooo much weaker in flavor than the individually packaged type. Didn't keep the original packaging. I will never order this again.
Answer: I have only tried the spearmint but it is 4.58 oz. for 100 tea bags. Maybe Darjeeling is similar.
Q:
What are the ingredients for the jasmine flower tea?
Answer: Scroll down to the ingredients list. All items are listed.
Q:
Assorted flavors
Answer: I do not buy this particular box. I buy Davidson's Rooibus tea and I love it. The box I get is only one "flavor".
Answer: I received only one flavor.
Answer: I only know of spearmint and oblong teas from this brand which I use to help maintain my pcos and diabetes.
Q:
Is this wheat/gluten free?
Answer: Gluten is a general name for the proteins found in wheat (wheatberries, durum, emmer, semolina, spelt, farina, farro, graham, KAMUT® khorasan wheat and einkorn), rye, barley and triticale – a cross between wheat and rye. This is tea. Not wheat.
Answer: The ingredient list says organic black tea. That's it!
Q:
What is the natural flavor used? Is it actually apple? I ask because I can't have fruit.
Answer: Sorry. I can't help you on this one. The only Davidson's tea I've ever used is South African Rooibus.
Q:
Is tea made from cherries or jusy cherry flavored?
Answer: It is a cherry flavored herbal tea. The list of ingredients is (* organic): Barley*, chicory*, chamomile*, carob*, rooibos* and natural flavor.
Answer: This is what the label on the box says regarding ingredients - barley, chicory, chamomile, carob, rooibos and natural flavors. Caffeine-free. Organic - this is Cherries Jubilee tea. Hope this helps with your question.
Q:
How many carbs and sugar in each bag?
Answer: I never put in sugar.
Answer: Zero. It's 100% spearmint leaves.
Q:
What is in the davidson's tea children tea? all i can find is that it is herbal and rosy red in the cup.
Answer: I hate it when Amazon adds reviews for one product onto the page of a different product. This is not the Davidson's tea I purchased and cannot answer this question.
Answer: Bought this brand of tea for Mother In Law, one I bought was mango flavored and she said it was very good. They have different flavors from what I remember. They may have an area for questions.
Answer: I didn't realize they had this product. It might be the fact that it has no caffeine and is organic but that's only a guess. Sound's like a question for the seller to me.
Q:
Is the rooibos chai blend caffeine free?
Answer: It states in the description that that this tea is decaffeinated.
Q:
Is this tea red in color?
Answer: Regular tea color - red, brown, something like that
Answer: more of a rusty amber color.
Answer: Yes it is and it has a very nice flavor.
Q:
Why are s the spearmint tea s much Moore at $46 per box?
Q:
Is this 100 bags of red south african rooibos?
Answer: Yes 100 bags, very nice equality.
Answer: Yes it is and it is very good!
Q:
Is the dragon well really pure? Tastes like it has citron or something added?
Answer: This is not Lonjing tea. Russian Caravan is a blend of several types of Chinese black teas which include a smoke dried tea, which gives it the smokey flavor. If you are tasting citrus, you may be tasting pine from the wood.
Q:
Are these tea bags unbleached?
Answer: Not exactly.Davidson's uses oxygen bleached tea bags.Hope this helps.
Answer: Not exactly .Davidson's uses oxygen bleached tea bag paper tea bags.
Answer: Oxygen bleached. No chemicals. They answer this question in depth on the Davidson website.
Q:
What kind of tea is in the coconut vanilla one?
Answer: The tea we ordered was cherry-vanilla only.
Answer: Ingredient list
Q:
What are the origin of the white tea bags? China?
Answer: In the ground
Q:
Is this product gluten free?
Answer: The box states Organic and Kosher. Ingredients are white tea and natural flavor. So it would seem gluten free but thats not on the box. Davidson’s phone number is 800-882-5888, I suggest calling them directly for info.
Answer: Tea is leaves from plants and gluten can only get into tea if it is manufactured in a plant that process grains. I would not worry about this tea.
Answer: Sorry, I don't know. I gave it as a gift and wasn't looking for that feature.
Answer: I don't know.I would ask Davidson.
Answer: Yes
Product reviews of Davidson's Tea Cinnamon Vanilla, 100-Count Tea Bags
Matilda X : My favorite tea blend
This is the perfect tea blend. I have a 12 oz mug, so I use 3 tea bags. After you pour your (just to boiling) water in, cover it for 5-7 mins for the best flavor. Squeeze out all the goodness. I add 5-6 drops of stevia and a splash of whole milk ~ mmm mmm good ;-)
travelmuse : Lately, the Packaging Has Been a Huge Problem.
This is by far my favorite Organic English Breakfast Tea. However, the last 2 boxes I received from Amazon were missing the cellophane wrapper, and the 3 pieces of tape on the box had been cut. (The teabags are unwrapped, inside of a zip lock bag, so there is no way to ensure that the product has not been tampered with or opened by someone.) I hope the packaging issues are resolved. This is a great tea!
Evie : Exactly What I Was Looking For
FANTASTIC quality. Comes in the box you see in the picture, but inside is a resealable ziploc-type bag to keep all your tea bags nice and fresh.
The tea itself is absolutely delicious-- the peach flavor is present but not overpowering. Overall, I am more than satisfied with my purchase and will continue to buy this on an Amazon Subscribe-and-Save plan.
Highly recommended!
Brian Smith : Not a great flavor
I am South African and am used to drinking Rooibos. This tea has been “modified” from everything that is natural to comply with their intentions of making sure that all the “tree-huggers” are happy that it just does not taste like the tea I have been drinking my entire life. I have tried drinking it three times with my other SA buddies, but no more… I can’t give it away to any of them either.
Rebecca A. : Love it
Bought these for me and my mom we are tea lovers and this is the only green tea I enjoy. It has a great taste. We counted them just for counting’s sake and we only counted 99. It could be user error but I do recommend everyone to count them just in case. I’ll continue to buy this tea for sure
SinginLady : Caffeine in the tea but who knows how much???
The tea is very good and I like that they are not individually wrapped- the loss of star is in a couple things... 1) I specifically searched for jasmine flower tea because that is normally caffeine free and my 5 year old loves jasmine tea... well it DOES have caffeine, which wasn’t super explicit 2) there is a bit of bitterness, which I assume is from the caffeine and why I looked closer for if it had caffeine 3) nowhere does it say how much caffeine is in the tea 4) while good, it is not the most fragrant tea... I’ve admittedly had better
K2ofCU : A new fan! Will buy again!
Quality product, quality brand, generous amount of loose tea bags for the price. I was unfamiliar with honeybush, but am now its evangelist! LOL Many friends have also been introduced & have enjoyed it, too. Keep this in the inventory, Amazon- will buy again!
onemanwolfpack : Not Organic Decaf Black Tea
Purchased Decaf English Breakfast (black)tea, received a box with two stickers. One says Hibiscus Flowers, the other says Decaf English Breakfast. The box definitely contains only hibiscus tea. Rechecked my order, ordered correctly. What a joke. I’ll stick to ordering my organic decaf black tea from England. It may take a month to arrive but at least I know what I’m getting. Extremely frustrating.
debrahrah : Lovely subtle tea
I would give this 5 stars if the box didn't arrive crushed again. I get this tea every 3 months on a subscription, as I like it that much and try to drink white and green tea for health. I ordered this extra box to give to someone and the soft box arrived in a basic bubble wrap-lined envelope again. Now, I am embarrassed to give it to someone in this condition.
Mamalinde : Underwhelmed
I was looking for a replacement for Yogi Orange Clove tea, which is apparently a “seasonal” thing. This is not it. It has caffeine and is a perfectly acceptable tea but the orange and clove parts underwhelm.
Chris D. : Delicious and amazing
My blood pressure was starting to climb to prehypertension, so I thought how could it hurt to try this tea. I was surprised at the many flavors, so I decided on Bing Cherry with Almond and I was not disappointed. I received it yesterday and decided to give it a try right away. I had two cups. I read many of the other reviews but I always believe it when I experience it for myself.I read where many people were saying it worked right away, but if I am honest I was not going to put too much stock in that...and to my surprise My last night's reading was 131/73 today's reading was 113/61! All I have to say is amazing.
cold kiwi : Great decaf English Breakfast
I have read complaints that this tea is packaged in a zip lock bag (inside the box) and I have read complaints that it isn't strong enough. Well I love strong tea, and I dislike most decaf teas, but I highly recommend this. I use three tea bags in one pot and it is great. A full robust taste without that hollow decaf taste. I also take my tea with milk so it has to be strong! As for the packaging - I love it because it saves me putting the tea in a ziplock. It stays fresh this way.
PS this is the same review I used for the decaf earl grey - which I also drink and highly recommend.
MDM : The flavor is great and the value is outstanding
Same woodsy flavor with a slight hint of cinnamon that the Numi organic tea provides, but at a fraction of the cost. It is hard for me to discern the difference in the taste of the two teas. The main difference is that the Numi has a string for dipping whereas these tea bags are just the bags themselves. They require a spoon for dipping and mixing. There are 100 single served bags. It takes about three or four minutes to steep. The flavor is great and the value is outstanding.
My husband and I started drinking this tea because of the purported health benefits. And we have noticed a slight tingle and increased of energy and better digestion with the consumption of 2 cups a day. The taste is mild and pleasant and does not require any additives or sweeteners. I will definitely be purchasing these again.
Athena2419 : Great Tea!
This taste great and I don't have to worry about the caffeine! It does come in a zip lock bag which seems odd at first, but it is so nice to open and grab a tea bag without the hassle of packaging! Just make sure you steep it at the right temperature for three minutes tops, and only use each tea bag once! If steeped any longer or used more than once will change the chemical composition of the tannins and it can cause cancer in the human body. Please do your research, tea is like any substance (sugar, drugs, or food) and can be harmful to the body if not used properly. I do like to give the used tea bags to my red worms to eat for composting. I will continue to purchase this tea, and can't wait to try the dessert teas they offer!
william.macrae : This is a fine black tea, but it's not smokey
I was looking for something with a lot of smokiness like Choice's Russian Caravan. The tea I got was fine and I'm happy drinking it, but it tastes more like a generic black tea to me. I liked that the tea bags all came in one large ziplock bag to keep them fresher and cut down on waste. I'll probably get this brand again but try a different flavor and will look elsewhere for my Russian Caravan.
Alexander : This is cheap tea sold as "tropical green"
If you tried a real tropical green and hope for anything similar with this brand - you are up to a big disappointment. This is not even close to real tropical green. I am a tea drinker all my life. This is about one of the worst teas I have ever purchased. Goes straight to garbage.
Mamalinde : Underwhelmed
I was looking for a replacement for Yogi Orange Clove tea, which is apparently a “seasonal” thing. This is not it. It has caffeine and is a perfectly acceptable tea but the orange and clove parts underwhelm.
Tirra : Somewhat weak but "ok" for the price.
This isnt bad for "budget" Tulsi tea. Comparing it to a more expensive brand I use, this stuff is weaker in flavor. Neither do these tea bags come sealed in their own little individual envelope. 100 of them are simply tossed into a big zip lock bag together. I dont think this helps concentrate the flavor very well. The cost isnt bad BUT I have to use 2 tea bags of this to get the same strength of flavor that I get from 1 tea bag of the more expensive brand. I'll probably bite the bullet cost wise and get the more expensive brand from now on.
MoGrace2u : Great in cold brewed tea
The flavor is not too strong or too weak - just right. I have been making cold brew green tea and this adds a refreshing note.
Colorado Bred : A great strawberry tea, hot or iced.
The tea is great hot or iced. Also stands up well when paired with a decaf green tea bag. Not crazy about green tea, but I will often pair it with an herbal tea bag, to get benefits of the green tea and the decaf herbal teas. Some herbal teas get distorted flavor by the green tea addition, but this one does not.
Fur Kid Mom : Comfort in a Cup!!
I am in love with this tea! When I first opened the box, I was very upset as I had purchased the wrong tea! I was trying to buy Davidson's Pumpkin Spice and I had purchased Herbal Pumpkin. What's the difference? Quite a bit. One tea is made with black tea and the other is made with Rooibos. Also, one tea had licorice and the other doesn't. I do NOT like licorice and was very upset with myself for picking the wrong tea. While I do LIKE Rooibos I had not expected it not to be black tea. Oh well!
I decided to try it with the intent of having to give away the other 99 tea bags. So I steeped a bag for 4 minutes, added 2 packets of stevia and some sugar free pumpkin spice creamer and was pleasantly surprised! I can't even taste the licorice!
If I had to say anything negative about this tea is that the tea bag is flimsy and when I go to squeeze the tea bag (you really need to give it a squeeze as it is full of flavor you will miss out in going into your tea; really makes a difference in the taste) the bag usually comes apart at the seams or just explodes. I have to be very careful and tender with the bag and even then, it might still break open. Then I have to strain the tea or drink all of the little floating pieces.
E. Falken : Worst. Chai. EVER.
I've been drinking chai since the 70's. I've had literally hundreds of different blends all over the world, most of them just minor variations of the traditional recipe using a base (black or rooibos-type herbal) and cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and so forth. I've also had blends that use chamomile and orange peel as enhancers.
I love chai. I've been looking for a good decaf chai in bulk, and I like Davidson's other teas.
This stuff - I don't know what the heck this stuff is. It tastes quite literally like dried lawn clippings. Like straw. It does not taste like rooibos, chamomile, cloves, cardamon, cinnamon and orange peel. It's the most god-awful not-chai I've ever tasted. I really wanted to like it but I simply could not; I tried two different cups and could not make myself finish either. I poured the tea down the drain and would like to return the entire box for a refund, but that's not allowed, so I'm stuck with my purchase.
I enjoy Davidson's teas. I love the Meyer Lemon and Bing Cherry flavors. Their French Vanilla is delicious. But this one? Eeeeeee-YUCK!
I didn't think I would have to road-test this flavor before buying in bulk, seeing how much I like all their other teas, but lesson learned and word to the wise. I'll look elsewhere for good herbal chai.
B the Change : Sketchy, poorly packaged, no flavor, bags look gnarly
As soon as I opened up the box I was taken back by the sketchy zip baggie. I went back to the original order to make sure it was 'new' and not 'used'. I've bought other Davidson teas and they were wonderful, this one is the other end of the spectrum, poorly packaged, no flavor, bags look gnarly. Should send off to a lab to find out the heck is really in this 'tea'.
C. Thompson : Lemon Mango Black Tea Organic tastes same as individual pack teabag
I was a bit surprised and let down a bit to find my 100 organic lemon mango black tea bags were just jumbled together in big gallon sized Ziplock bag with a slider open close. Only way I knew this box of teabags were even the lemon mango black tea I ordered was 1 applied sticker on 1 edge of the box....then I opened bag and smelled lemony black tea...then I made a hot 16 oz cup of water in microwave, put in 1 teabag from the box bag and waited, after a couple min I could smell and taste a sweet lemony black tea which when warm had barely a hint of sweet mango and cold only has a sweet lemon flavor to the mellow black tea flavor (almost no bitterness at all to this tea even when teabag left in cup till water is cold).
I had first tried this tea from a sample bag of organic teas by multiple companies...it was in an individual paper wrapper with company name, name of tea flavor, organic, and list of ingredients....it also had a much stronger sweet mango flavor that was balanced perfectly with lemon (this first bag from this box is almost all lemon black tea, so the mango barely there and flavor is also slightly a letdown due to that).
When ordering 50-100 teabags in a big box or big bag from other fancy tea companies their teabags come individually wrapped like the 18-25 bag grocery store boxes....when the bags or sachets are not individually wrapped then they are usually packed in a nicer container rather than a big gallon commercial Ziplock plastic bag (usually in a resealable foil/Mylar bag with brand and variety info on it or a nice fancy airtight metal tin with brand and variety info on it). I know individual wrapping and better packaging costs more, but how much more would a second sticker on the ziplock bag with brand/variety information like on the box cost? 5 cents more for sticker? 25 cents more to get it applied to bag before closing box? There are plenty of grocery store 100 tea bag boxes with each teabag individually wrapped for under $10, so the price to have it done isn't too high....and 1 more sticker that is already designed and made for outside of box should be available for the inside bag.
I personally prefer the individual wrapped bags because if I want to make a gift sample for a friend/family to try out then it is easy to give and easy for them to know which they tried and liked...plus I always thought it helps to keep the tea in the bag fresher and last longer.
I'm honestly not sure I got the Davidson's lemon mango black tea since the 1 sticker with info on the box says for ingredients: black tea*, lemon myrtle*, and natural flavor (* denotes organic). That's it. No mango listed at all. Since I had saved the original individual teabag wrapper I first tried this tea flavor from I look at its ingredient list....organic black tea, organic lemon myrtle, and natural flavor....but in its description on the wrapper it says: "lemon mango blends robust organic black tea, organic citrus peel and exotic tropical flavors. We balance sweet-tart essences of passionfruit, lemon, mango and guava with organic black tea for a complex fresh fruit character." But all I can taste from this first teabag is just sweet lemon black tea and only when warm the sweetness may of had a hint of mango to it....unlike my indivially wrapped samples that did taste definitely of mango and lemon. The mango is subtle in this one, but at least it is still a mello nonbitter black tea with strong nontart lemon and strong sweetness.
I knew others said other varieties came in big ziplocks for the 100 count boxes, but had hoped not all 100 box varieties were just Zip lock bag with jumbled tea bags...looks like that is how it is. So if you want individual paper wrapper bags then I guess can only buy the 25count or 8 count boxes or samplers. I will update if the tea doesn't stay fresh or strong flavored in a shorter time due to huge bag jumble.
Customer : Lemony
This was the green tea with ginseng and lemon myrtle. I've bought it directly from the company and also once here on amazon. Direct from the company had a sweet, honey-like flavor which I assumed was the ginseng. Buying it shipped from amazon has a striking lemon myrtle flavor. The lemony flavor is amazing. Judge for yourself: choose green tea with ginseng either shipped from the manufacturer or amazon. The taste is either honey or lemon. This after 1 shipment of each, which could change. Both were excellent, just different.
Matilda X : My favorite tea blend
This is the perfect tea blend. I have a 12 oz mug, so I use 3 tea bags. After you pour your (just to boiling) water in, cover it for 5-7 mins for the best flavor. Squeeze out all the goodness. I add 5-6 drops of stevia and a splash of whole milk ~ mmm mmm good ;-)
Ibuy : My favorite tea ever!
I just re-ordered this tea. It is my favorite and I love the subtle flavor mix of cherry and almond. The bags are stringless and come in a resealable plastic bag which keeps them fresh from the first to the last tea bag. I hope they never stop making this!
cabbs : great rooibos tea!
I love Rooibos tea and have been purchasing it from Peet's Coffee in the past. I was looking for a cheaper alternative when I found Davidson's on Amazon. I was a little wary that the tea much be weaker or less fragrant as the Peet's tea, but it's just as good. What a fantastic price on a great tea!
Rooibos is a full bodied herbal tea that brews very dark. If you steep Rooibos tea for too long, it doesn't get bitter like other teas. It has a very aromatic flavor and it has great health benefits. It's also caffeine free, which makes it a great after supper drink. I also like it with milk and sugar, or served iced.
My only complaint about the tea is that it places all 100 tea bags in a large zip close bag inside the box instead of being individually packaged. This makes it hard to transport some of it to the office or on trips. I understand that this helps cut down on costs and packaging, but it's a little inconvenient. I just put them into smaller zip bags when I don't want to bring all 100 tea bags with me somewhere.
TK : A good cup of evening tea for me!
This is really good tea. I have been drinking non-organic teas and am moving to a healthier option. So I am trying to find teas to replace my favorites. Decaf Orange spice was one of them. So when I found the peach I thought I would give it a try. It is not really peachy so non-peach lovers will probably still like it. The major flavors are the spices. I am ok with that... I really like it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I was hoping for more of a peach flavor. But I will buy it again.
I'll probably bite the bullet cost wise and get the more expensive brand from now on.
william.macrae : This is a fine black tea, but it's not smokey
I was looking for something with a lot of smokiness like Choice's Russian Caravan. The tea I got was fine and I'm happy drinking it, but it tastes more like a generic black tea to me. I liked that the tea bags all came in one large ziplock bag to keep them fresher and cut down on waste. I'll probably get this brand again but try a different flavor and will look elsewhere for my Russian Caravan.
TANya Neill : Tasty healthy herbal tea
This is one of those teas that you want to have all year long but especially in the winter. Tulsi is a strong adaptogen. It boosts the immunity plus heals the body. Great for upper respiratory ailments.
Elove : Packaging is sketchy
I originally bought this tea from Marshalls and absolutely love the Tulsi Mango Peach. They were individually packaged. I was excited to find it here. However when I opened the box there were 100 loose tea bags in a zip lock bag. I didn't feel comfortable drinking that.
Graywaren : The Tea I've Been Drinking 30yrs
This was probably the first tea I ever had, as I was given a tin of it for my first tea parties as a wee child and I still love it today 30 years or so later! It's my favorite citrus type herbal tea, hot or cold. If you're looking for a great caffeine free option for children's tea parties or a refreshing, delicious citrus tea for yourself I highly recommend this tea.
Kay Anne : REALLY good rooibos at a reasonable price
REALLY good rooibos, at a price that works for a full-time graduate student who can't work without tea but also can't handle caffeine. My only gripe is that the bags often come apart if you leave them in too long, and you end up accidentally drinking a mouthful of rooibos bits (and by too long, I mean hours later in a stainless steel thermos). I'd love if the bags held up a bit better, since I tend to just let herbal tea bags sit until I've drunk it all, but that's certainly not significant enough to keep me from buying this brand. I like these better than several other brands I've tried, and I love that they don't have a string and tag, since I like to steep on-the-go. Also excellent for iced tea. Highly recommended.
Michelle : WEAK
I have been drinking this tea for several months, and it is a great value but the quiality is less than desired. At first I was scared to dring it because it came in a ziplock bag, making me question if it was tampered with or what kind of facility would package like that. But I turned to amazon reviewers and none of them got sick and they had the bags too. I usually put two tea bags in a cup of tea, and even then the strength of the tea is less than the other brands I have used before. I will not be getting this again, I got the tea for the heath benefits and I have noticed that it does help, but I will be swithing to another brand whose quality and strength I can trust.

KayD : It negatively affected my TSH levels
I love tulsi tea and this particular brand is very good but sadly I have to give it one star because it affected my thyroid levels drastically. Usually my tsh levels were within normal levels but after drinking the tulsi tea they went up a lot. I went from 3 to 15 in tsh levels. The doctor kept increasing my thyroid medicine but it didn’t do any good. So I started to research when my tsh went up and what I had started to eat or drink around the same time and it was the tulsi tea. If you have hypothyroidism be careful about drinking tulsi tea. It could impact your tsh levels drastically. I usually don’t write reviews but I wanted to get the word out that all herbal teas are not harmless
Amazon Customer : Good product
I am very happy with this product. The teabags are simple with no tags or strings (something I like).
I was looking for a product that was “only” rosehips and hibiscus. This has other ingredients like chamomile, rooibos, dried raspberries and blueberries. The one thing I don’t like is the “natural flavor” ingredient. This is code for taking something from nature and processing it until it’s not natural at all. It’s also the ingredient that is not organic.
Still, there are no unnatural colors when the tea is made. It has a nice taste- not overly sweet (although I do sweeten my tea).

Mary91953 : got rid of melasma
Spearmint tea is known for balancing hormones, especially for women. I quit taking hormonal birth control 5 months ago as it started causing horrible melasma spots all over my back. I was embarrassed to wear anything that showed it, which means no tank tops, dresses... most of my wardrobe as I live in sunny California. The spots never faded after quitting bc pills, even after 5 months. I started drinking this tea a week ago and MY MELASMA IS 90% FADED ALREADY!!! Every day it gets better and better! I have literally only changed this one thing, so I know it’s the tea! I just have one hot mug of it a day, 2 tea bags. Will always be thankful for this!!

travelmuse : Lately, the Packaging Has Been a Huge Problem.
PragmaticMama : Holy Basil tea is delicious
I love holy basil tea. Used to be at trader joe’s but no longer. This was flavorful, Maybe a little more pricey than trader joe’s. Comes in a ziplock basically, so perhaps they are making a big profit. Thing is - i love the tea and couldn’t find it. So supply and demand. Will i try to grow my own next year. Sure i will.

Fred Schultz : Terrible Shipping!!
This is a very good product, but the shipping this time was terrible! From the pictures you can see that the box of tea which is very thin cardboard was not put in any kind of a shipping box or envelope. The box was torn such that the ziploc that the teabags are in could have been pulled out or something could have been put in with the teabags - not acceptable.
