Slippery elm does have benefits for singers and those with sore throats but it also has benefits for gut health. It is wonderful for soothing heartburn and acid reflux. It creates a gel that can coat and soothe inflamed tissue and this coating can act as a barrier against acidity. Slippery elm can also stimulate the intestines to produce mucus which helps with overactive bacteria in the gut and improves Constipation, Bloating, Diarrhea and Issues with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Traditional Medicine Throat Coat is the best tasting of all the slippery elm tea I've tried and its good as a hot beverage or as ice tea.

I have bought this several times. I absolutely love the flavor. And with a little bit of honey this tea is perfect for any type of sore throat. Or any type of throat dryness or coughing. The marshmello root is also great for nausea. This makes me feel great every time and is so soothing.
