Directions

To savor the full flavor of our teas, bring fresh water to a rolling boil. Pour hot water directly over the tea bag in a pre-heated pot or cup. Brew 3-5 minutes or to desired taste. One tea bag makes 8 ounces of hot tea. For iced tea, brew double strength.

Answer: "Chai Lattes" have milk in them. These are just the tea bags. If you add steamed and frothed half and half or heavy whipping cream it will probably be very close. If you use regular milk it will be watery. Thankfully it does not taste like the "Oprah Chai" that Starbucks had for a while that just tasted like Cinnamon which is not supposed to be in real Chai. Hope that helps.

Answer: No this doesn't taste like Starbucks. Unfortunately the tea I received (box of 100 bags) was stale and bland, with no aroma and little taste. Possibly old stock :(

Answer: Black tea has one half the amount of caffeine as coffee and a bit more than green tea.You can Google to get a comparison and amounts (white ,green black tea & coffee). This Stash tea also comes in decaf.

Answer: So, this is not Oregon chai. That particular brand comes as a liquid that you mix with milk. You can buy the liquid Oregon chai on amazon or at your local grocer. To make a chai latte using stash, I steep the tea for at least 10 minutes ago remove bags, add sweetener (honey) and then I use some vanilla soy milk to top it off.

Is this companies tea gluten free?

Answer: The box does not say gluten free, but I can tell you the only thing it contains are tea leaves, herbs and spices. No artificial flavors or coloring. The one I drink is Orange Spice Black Tea, it contains tea leaves, orange peel, cinnamon and clove. 100% natural ingredients.

Answer: Let me help you with reading labels for gluten content (my mom is gluten intolerant). Gluten comes from many grains ie the seeds of the grain plants), but is not found in corn, rice, or oats and probably a few other exceptions I am not remembering right now. As the label for this tea, and all the Stash teas on this site say, the only ingredients are teas and spices, so no gluten. I do not know of a single tea in their line that has gluten, and my mom and I between us have tried quite a lot of their teas. I hope this helps you with your tea order, and with reading other labels :)

Answer: I would think so but honestly don't know; it was a gift for my daughter so I don't have a box to look at. Perhaps you could just do a Google search "is chai tea gluten free?" It is tea and spices, and don't think of spices when I think of gluten.. Good luck.

Answer: I don't have my box but on the pack it states "all natural". Visiting various websites Stash is not listed among teas containing toxic ingredients. They do have organic teas where no pesticides ares used. This statement is on their website - "All of our teas are Kosher certified by KOF-K Kosher Supervision, one of the foremost certification agencies in the United States. In addition, all of our honey sticks and organic agave nectar sticks are also Kosher certified." Their filters (bags) are made of a wood product not plastics.

Answer: I bought the Stash Tea Chai Spice GREEN tea, but I checked at the store and read the whole label for the Black (and the Green); neither mentions caffeine at all. Black tea generally contains caffeine; Green tea also generally contains caffeine, but the amount of caffeine various a lot. Stash may be the only source that can tell you for sure about the caffeine levels. I really like the flavor in Stash teas. I was a Tevana loose tea fan, but Starbucks bought Teavana and eventually shut it down to something very different.

It is perhaps the best tasting, most full-bodied and yet elegant tea (I know that's a strange word to describe tea with) I've ever tasted. If you like regular Earl Greys, you will LOVE this tea. You can tell the Bergamot oil is of very high quality. Take your time to inhale the scent of the tea bag before you even start brewing -- it's that good. The taste cannot be compared to any other Earl Grey I've had, and I've had some very good ones. And you can brew quite a large cup (like a double tea-cup size) with one bag. This tea is very full-bodied, so if you like your teas weaker, don't leave it brewing for too long. They did not skimp on this tea and you really owe it to yourself to give it a try.

(Mostly because I didn’t have time to go to the store because of work, so I ordered whatever I could in one place - Amazon).

I don’t know if it’s because the stock doesn’t move or isn’t rotated, but whenever I order this tea (or any tea) on Amazon, the flavor is very bland. I end up having to use 2-3 tea bags for ONE cup to achieve the normal, regular flavor. But sometimes even that doesn’t work and the flavor remains bland..and dull.
This has been true for other brands of teas too.

Despite that, every few months I try again on Amazon but am always disappointed.

This is pretty good, it beats not making our favorite recipe that is made from homemade spices. We like to steep it and make a warm sweet winter drink! Nothing like sitting around the fire with hot chai! We also make a concentrate from it and make homemade chai frappes!

Very unpleasant - harsh and yet also flat. I like chai but not this blend. The only flavor that comes through is clove - no cardamom, cinnamon or ginger. I usually like Stash teas and the convenience of the bag but I do not like this one at all. The source of the overpowering clove taste is the addition of clove oil, listed in the ingredients. They also list cardamom oil, but the taste of cardamom is completely masked by the overpowering clove taste.

We steep it strong(2 bags) and add heavy cream and sugar or honey. My daughter prefers it over ice.

I sometimes steep it with a bag of chamomile, before bed, and it smoothly covers the undesirable straw taste of the chamomile.

This chai has good flavor but needs more black tea leaves to make a fully satisfying cup of tea. It leans on cloves but not overly, to my taste. The Tazo chai has more tea leaves and tastes very good if used properly -- 2 mugs of tea or an extra large mug from each tea bag. I've gotten used to the Stash spicing now (have enjoyed 6 boxes) and like to drink both the Stash and the Tazo (also finished 6 boxes), which I drink straight, in succession, in the morning. Then I switch to decaf Tazo chai which is very good and makes 2 mugs per tea bag.

The Chai tea is weak and the expected flavor is no longer there. To get remotely what I was used to from STASH, I have to triple the number of tea bags. I ordered Chai tea from other brands and will find a better product. I liked the old design and the tea so much better BEFORE . If you enjoy he aroma and spices of Chai Tea and do not always have time for loose leaf tea, these tea bags are NOT for you.

My wife loves this tea. More than that, she love this brand of Chai Tea. We tried to find it in are grocery stores and no one keeps it in stock. The scent is really what does it for my wife but it tastes good and has just the pick-me-up you need.

Wow.... This was a new flavor for us, we've been very happy with each tea we've tried. The quality of Stash Tea's so far have been wonderful and would highly recommend this one. Definitely has more caffeine, but does not have that bitter taste.

A very nice tea from Stash - has a little of caffeine for a morning pick-me-up. Great with or with out milk (I add a splash of almond milk). Very flavorful. Very economical in this quantity. Shipping was prompt.

I like being able to order the Stash Chai Spice teabags by the six boxes. I've used this brand a flavor for some time and enjoy a cup in the morning.

This chai has good flavor but needs more black tea leaves to make a fully satisfying cup of tea. It leans on cloves but not overly, to my taste. The Tazo chai has more tea leaves and tastes very good if used properly -- 2 mugs of tea or an extra large mug from each tea bag. I've gotten used to the Stash spicing now (have enjoyed 6 boxes) and like to drink both the Stash and the Tazo (also finished 6 boxes), which I drink straight, in succession, in the morning. Then I switch to decaf Tazo chai which is very good and makes 2 mugs per tea bag.
