Questions about Prince of Peace Organic Oolong Tea, 100 Tea Bags – 100% Organic Black Tea – Unsweetened Black Tea – Lower Caffeine Alternative to Coffee – Herbal Health Benefits
Q:
Is this a 2 pack with 100 tea bags or a pack of 2 100 teabags (total 200)?
Answer: This is 2 boxes with 100 tea bags in each box total 200.
Answer: The sale at our store "Healthy Food Shop" is for a total of 200 teabags.
Q:
How much caffiene does this tea have per bag?
Answer: The box of Prince of Peace 100% Organic Oolong Tea that I have ('Best before' date of Oct 15, 2015) states "A typical cup of Oolong tea has about 30-40mg of caffeine, and a cup of coffee ranges from 100-180mg." HTH
Answer: A typical cup of Oolong tea has 30-40mg of caffeine and a cup of coffee ranges from 100-180mg. This info came directly from the prince of peace oolong tea box. :)
Answer: Unfortunately I don't have a GC set up to test the caffeine content of the tea so the best I can give you is the statement from the package. On the box it states that, "Typically, a cup of oolong tea contains on average about 30 mg of caffeine."
Answer: The box says "Typically a cup of tea contains 20 mg of caffeine".
Answer: No information about it in the bags nor the box
Answer: I do not have the box anymore box , but I believe its the equivalent or a little less than a cup of coffee...
Q:
Is this tea caffeine free?
Answer: No, it has caffeine, but less than black tea. FYI, typical caffeine amounts for various teas are: white tea - 30-55 mg; green tea - 35-70 mg; oolong tea - 50-75 mg; black tea - 60-90 mg. Compare that to coffee - 150-200 mg
Answer: No, it is not a decaffeinated tea.
Answer: Hello, no this tea has caffeine. Although, I haven't noticed that any kinds of affects from this tea. I really like it! The taste and aroma. I hope this helps!
Answer: No.
Q:
Are the tea bags individually wrapped?
Answer: The tea bags are individually wrapped in paper.
Answer: yes they are and all of the Prince of Peace teas are my favorites .... OOLONG, Green is especially mild and tasty as are the white and camomille..... the name and the company policy is the reason I first tried several years ago.... hope this helps... cb a very satisfied customer
Answer: Hello, they are individually wrapped .
Answer: They are. They all come in one big resealable bag in the box
Answer: Individually wrapped and big resealable box are two things!
Answer: Yes, they are. They come in individual paper wrappers.
Answer: Yes.
Answer: Yes they are. Thanks
Answer: Yes
Q:
Is the tea non-gmo and the tea bags unbleaches?
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does this tea help with weight loss
Answer: As much as I like this tea (and I drink about a quart of it a day), I can honestly say that, as a person who weighs over 300 pounds and would dearly love if it did, I have not noticed any effect on my weight from drinking it. :(
Answer: It is said that both Oolong and Green tea can add to weight loss when decreasing calories and increasing exercise. Detox tea is for a more powerful effect than Oolong
Answer: No, I have noticed no difference I’m my appetite
Answer: yes, after 15 days you can feel the diference
Answer: yes, after 15 days you can feel the diference
Q:
Are the green and the oolong decaf?
Answer: Well, if the package does not say so, so it is not, I always buy the organic, because I think is the best, however, you can always check on the box, or type decaf, and the website will give you what you are looking for.
Answer: I believe if they were decaf they would say decaf. Items I buy that are decaf do say that, if not there is nothing mentioned. However, I read that decaf has problems on its own and I read the list of problems with how they process with making the product decaf, I stopped buying decaf when I read that.
Q:
I have tried many different teas, but not oolong tea before. What does it taste like? Is it similar to breakfast tea, earthy flavor, roasted, ect...?
Answer: This tea does not taste like breakfast tea at all. I would say it's a very, very mild earthy flavor. I would compare it to a mild green tea. I actually like it precisely because of its mild flavor since I am usually drinking stronger teas (like PG tips, puh-air and earl grey). It is the tea that you are served in many typical Chinese restaurants.
Answer: I can’t speak for this *exact* brand’s oolong but I found that oolong tea has an earthy taste, and a much heavier flavor than say, a green or even a standard black tea; It’s a hearty, almost coffee-like taste. It’s still tea and tastes of tea but with a little bit of a coffee flavor. I could definitely see someone trying to cut down on coffee by subbing out a cup here and there with some oolong.
Answer: Oolong is not fermented as long as black tea, so it is somewhere inbetween green tea (a grassy, plant like flavor, and black tea, which tends more towards a sharp, peppery, burnt, or chocolatey flavor. People who don't like oolong say it tastes like pencil shavings, and this is very accurate. However, if steeped correctly (as all teas should be, about 5 degrees below boiling, and set for 2 or 3 minutes at least), that pencil shavings flavor can become a richer, broader flavor very similar to the smoothest black teas that have a more chocolatey flavor.
Answer: It is both Earthy and Roasted flavor , but ever so mild... Have not had such a wonderfully mild OOlong or Green Tea as Prince O Peace....... have used both for many years
Answer: Oolong tea is my favorite tea for 'sipping' or enjoying with anything that has a strong flavor. It is not tasteless but very subdued and in my opinion, comforting. No aftertaste.
Answer: I think it has a vaguely creamy taste to it, lightly sweet and earthy, without adding any sugar or cream.
Answer: To me, an earl grey and breakfast tea fan i would say it has a totally different flavor. Kinda sweet, deep and rich.
Answer: Has anyone ever last weight from this tea?
Q:
Are the tea bags bleached?
Answer: I believe it is unbleached. While there is no notation on the box whether the bags are bleached or unbleached. The teabag is a natural color not white as is the paper wrapper.
Q:
Has anyone ever lost weight with this tea?

Answer: Yes, you can. I do it often and good taste mix is getting.

That's two water bottles for me. Tastes Great.

Product reviews of Prince of Peace Organic Oolong Tea, 100 Tea Bags – 100% Organic Black Tea – Unsweetened Black Tea – Lower Caffeine Alternative to Coffee – Herbal Health Benefits
J Dolla : My Go-To Green Tea
Highly recommend . . . the quality is great as an everyday green. I almost always have 2 bags/day. They have a good mission too - just check out the box! I like how each box says who packed it on a little slip – makes it feel like more of a connection to the process, more personal. Their other teas are our go-to's as well – and what a value for the $!!
R.M.D. : Have to agree with other reviews . . .
I have to agree with other reviews . . . this is not very good tea. It is beautifully packaged and the packaging is probably very informative if you can read Chinese, but alas . . .
The problem is the product. When I took the cellophane wrapping off of the box I was greeted by and fairly strong not very pleasant sweetish, maybe moldy, odor. After brewing a cup I found that the flavor was exactly like the smell. Certainly not the flavor of Oolong tea that I have had in the past. Fortunately, I didn't pay a ton for this as the rest is going in the garbage.
Jorge Ramos : I really recommend this.
Here is all I have to say. I was 312 pounds and then I started using this tea with my diet with combination of green tea 3 times a day and I went down to 149lbs. Lots of water. This and hethy eating will be the key for major success. I really recommend this.
movie lover : Great tasting tea
I love this tea and when I am finished with the 2 boxes I send for more, I have been drinking this tea for a few years now and am delighted with the taste, sometimes I add a bit of honey but usually just drink it like it is. I put the teabag in a cup with water and microwave it for 2.5 minutes and it comes out great.
Debbie Leon : Best Green Tea!
Prince of Peace green tea is the only brand we buy because the flavor is richer than any other brand. It always tastes fresh and is so refreshing, hot or iced. Cellophane packages arrive in a very timely manner and are protected with outer packaging. This is definitely the best green tea you can buy!
K433 : Great price
Great price for a really great tasting tea. I was a little skeptical because of the price but it turns out to be one of my favorite teas now. I make it into iced tea and drink it throughout the day. As per their directions, two cups of hot water with 6 bags, wait 10 min, add 2 cups cold water and pour over ice. It's really refreshing and delicious... And again, not pricey at all.
Juan Bóbeda : I am loosing weight, maybe coincidence...
It's the first time I have tried Oolong tea and this brand has excellent taste, very smooth and nice to drink without any type of sweetener. I am overweight and dieting, but haven't lost much weight in over a month, but since I started drinking 3 cups per day of this tea I have lost 4 pounds in one week. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but am buying a second box right now! I would prefer to have this tea looseleaf but teabags are OK.
Dangerman : Made this tea -- got sick!
Had a toxic chemical reaction to this brewed tea. Feel lucky to be alive! Who puts toxic chemicals in "organic" tea? Decide for yourself.
Nyesha Gordon : Flavorful
I specifically wanted a stronger tea than chamomile and peppermint that tasted more earthy and had more of a natural musk to it. Oolong popped up time and time again during my search, but I was scared as many people warned me that a lower quality oolong could run bitter. I do not add additives to my teas to avoid unwanted calories and blood sugar spikes, so I was very wary of this when buying.
I am sipping on my oolong right now that I received today and WOW! It is everything I wanted in a tea. This is my first introduction to oolong, and it’s absolutely amazing. It has a nice nutty, smokey flavor with hints of aromatic sweetness! This is definitely going to become my everyday tea that I drink throughout the day! The packaging is convenient and very well put together. The price was also amazing, it was actually comparable to most store brands. One warning though, I’m not sure if this is typical of oolong(my google search suggests it may be), I was surprised that while it was brewing it smelled vaguely like marijuana(emphasis on vaguely). It definitely isn’t marijuana but the smell is only similar because both marijuana and oolong consist of roasted leaves, so it was the roasted leaves smell that caught my attention. Nonetheless it is a very fragrant tea, its musk is unique and soothing. I will definitely be repurchasing this tea when I finish this box, which shouldn’t be anytime soon!
xiao : Not the taste of real Chinese tea
As a Chinese who has been drinking tea for years, I have to say this tea is not the taste of Chinese Oolong tea. Yep, like other comments say, the tea is packed well and not tastes bad. But for those Chinese Oolong tea lovers, I personally don't recommend it.
Terri : Doesn't taste like Oolong tea
Glad i didn't spend much on this tea, because it's going in the garbage. Has no taste. In fact, doesn't taste anything like Oolong tea. I love the tea in Chinese restaurants and they said Oolong is what i was drinking there. This brand tastes like nothing. No smell either.
Sabrina - Goleta, CA : Not Good ????
This tea smelled like stale coffee and had a worse flavor ... I am unsure whether the tea was old or had been spoiled prior to packaging, but it was definitely bad. I was unable to return it and tried to get used to the smell and taste, but decided it was better off used in my compost bin.
Periwinkle : Cheap price, cheap taste
They say you get what you pay for, and I truly believe in this case that's it. There's a brand of Oolong tea served by a local restaurant. It's sold here under the label of Grand Tea Co. I love their tea. This is not that tea. This is weak and flavorless. One teabag struggled to make even a good cup.
Rebecca Short : Updated review: from 3 stars to 5
My first few bags were a little weak in flavor, but I think that was a one-off. I'm now on my third box (so over 200 bags used) and I haven't had a flavor problem since. It's a great deal for a very large quantity of good quality, organic, green tea. If you buy from any of the brands in stores, 100 bags would cost you well over $20.
Manzanilla Olives : Defective! Tea bags are not closed.
The tea just pours out of the bags because they are not completely closed. Completely unusable. I have tried this brand before and enjoyed, but they seem to have no quality control in the packaging.
ElCzort : This is a lovely, mild tasting tea
This tea is mild for those wondering. I am used to Begelow Oolong which brews darker and I sort of prefer that but they don't have an organic option so based on reviews I ordered Prince of Peace. I find it to be very pleasing though more mild. I let my teabags sit in 2-1/2 cups of water for half an hour to get the most out of it and if I make it for work, I leave the teabag in my big cup. I really wanted it to help with weight loss but I 've only been using it for 2 weeks ( 3 cups a day) and not noticing anything yet. I don't find it to be very high caffeine at all, not much of a metabolism boost for me. I get better results waking up with coffee. The packaging is great, each bag in its own paper wrapper - no staple connecting the tag to the string- the whole package presents as "au-natural" with an inspection insert. If it were a bit stronger brew, I'd have given 5 stars.
ZBS : Stronger than the usual OOLong
I usually use Bigelow Oolong tea. When using Bigelow i let the teabag steap in the water while im still drinking it. With this Prince of Peace tea if i dont take the bag out in 3 or 4 minutes the tea tastes like old coffee thats been sitting around for a few days.

Cheryl C. : Good mild taste
I have read that green tea can be good for health so purchased this box. The tea has a nice mild flavor that I believe most would not find objectionable. All the tea bags appear to be intact , in good condition and brew a full cup of tea. The price was right.
M. Berman : THIS TEA TASTES OLD, MILDEWY, CHEMICALLY COMPROMISED BY FUNGUS, WHATEVER, IT TASTES JUST BAD
THIS TEA TASTES OLD, MILDEWY, CHEMICALLY COMPROMISED BY FUNGUS, WHATEVER, IT TASTES JUST BAD; IT COMES IN LOOSE PACKAGING THAT ADMITS HUMIDITY, SO IT PROBABLY GREW MOLDY DURING STORAGE; THIS IS NOT PACKAGED TO MAINTAIN FRESHNESS; PAPER BOX, PAPER WRAPPINGS, THIN LOOSE CELLOPHANE COVER; THE LABEL SAYS IT IS MADE IN CHINA, AND THEN IT'S APPARENTLY SHIPPED TO CALIFORNIA FOR RESALE (LABEL SAYS IT'S SOLD BY A CALIFORNIA COMPANY). // LATER, WHEN INFORMED OF THIS DEFECT, THE SELLER GRACIOUSLY REFUNDED THE CHARGES IN FULL.
Mark Z : Chinese "Organic" tea? Is it really?
The tea itself was OK for the price. But, you do get a lot of tea packets for the price, hence the 4-star.
It arrived in 7 days in Southern California. I can see how reviewers may think it has an Earthy taste. Yet a dirty taste may be a bit much to describe it as. It was similar to other green teas, with a different bite. I haven't had Oolong before. We have been drinking Costco's Kirkland Signature green tea (with matcha & sencha) that comes with 100+ packets and is from Japan. The Oolong flavor and the regular green tea are quite similar, in my opinion anyway, but overall I prefer the Green Tea from Japan
But, about the whole are Chinese "Organic" labeled foods/drinks/teas actually organic? The answer may surprise you. There is a lot of information on the net to take in. What to believe? Who to trust? For myself, all I need to do is look at the state that China is currently in with its many problems. Pollution being a main concern here. All of us have seen the smog photos everywhere from China. Does that have any correlation here in growing tea? Maybe it's from a different area far beyond the smog-choked cities of China? How do we know the Chinese have the same regulations for what is Organic in comparison to the USA. In all honesty, we don't. These teas could have been watered/grown with unsanitary water. Yet, the process may well have been grown "organically."
So, in short, look up about Chinese organic-labeled products. Whole Foods had Chinese organic products removed from their stores in the USA a few years back in response to this issue.
Are you going to be fine after drinking this organic tea? Most likely! But, look further into organic-labeled products, from anywhere really, and don't believe something is organic simply because it says so. I know, why would any product/company potentially lie to us? Not that this brand or product specifically is. Organic labeling is a money maker. Period.
Al S : Good Chinese restaurant tea at a great price
Simply put, this tastes like the tea at most Chinese restaurants, which is what I was after. A very good price for 100 bags. Not overly strong so for extra large cups, and small pots, I'd use two. Still good though.
Seth M Cronin : 1 box fits in a standard desk door easily. Great way to replace the hourly coffee pour
This is my go to office tea.1 box fits in a standard desk door easily. Great way to replace the hourly coffee pour, teas much better on my stomach and doesn't make me sweat and fidget as much. the flavor is just subtle enough that I can drink all day without getting sick of it. The quantity is the real value add to me, 100 x 2 boxes means i don't have to re-up on tea for a few months, even at 3+ cups a day.
KaPa : Consistent quality and great flavor, now I actually enjoy drinking green tea
Wasn't a fan of green tea but this one changed my mind. I'm not a tea expert but I really do enjoy it. Unsweetened. Been ordering it over and over again and the quality of the tea and the packaging is very consistent. I think the quality and quantity that you get for the price makes it an optimal choice. Plus it's organic. Never a bad thing.
Victoria Gates : Very Good Brand of Oolong Tea
Quite good tea and well packaged. It arrives in a sealed plastic box as shown in the image. The tea bags are inside paper liners in the box. The tea smells very fresh and rich, the box was obviously sealed at the peak of freshness. The tea tastes smooth and pleasantly earthy, for my personal tastes I like the flavor.
I don't know if this tea will help speed up my weight loss efforts, I will review again after I drink the tea regularly. Either way it makes a really delicious, warm and earthy, low calorie drink for me to enjoy.
NathalieLola : I enjoyed the taste
Good tea for first thing in the AM if you have nothing planned for the day or I even like it just right before bed. Its not very strong. I got it because someone told me if was good for your digestive system, however it hasnt helped me on that front at all.
CL : So many opened tea bags????
This oolong tea tastes really good. I cannot rally tell the differences between this tea and my Chinese mother in law’s expensive oolong tea. However, I’ve encounterd so many opened tea bags so the pieces of shredded tea leaf are all over in the tea pot. I keep having to discard pots and pots of tea. I can’t really tell if it’s open or not until the tea bags are in hot water. I would have given 5+ stars if this problen didn’t exist.
Tammy Jones : Like it a lot
Good for weight loss. Mom loves it. I’m not a tea drinker but it’s pretty good. I ripped the tea bag twice out of the three times I drank it, the bag is pretty thin. My mom had no problems with that though. Like I said I’m not a tea drinker so it could just be me. Will buy again
Bill Williams : Great taste, health benefits too
I am very pleased with the flavor of this tea. I am drinking a cup in the morning and afternoon. I am sure that there is a health benefit as I am feeling great and my attitude is better as well (according to my wife)!

LL. : Amazing tea!
From the packaging to the flavor, this tea is top notch. I ordered it because it is great for digestion and I have a lot of digestive issues. The flavor is so nice that I don't even sweeten it. The box is pretty enough to stay on the table. I will be ordering again when I finish these.
Amazon Customer : Taste Bland and Bitter
First of all, the browning of water takes longer than other brands, and the color is pale brown compared to other brand's dark brown. Second, the taste is close to water with bitter taste, it does taste like dirt. Third, no fragrance at all. Maybe this is indeed organic, but it's definitely not good quality. These tea bags are not drinkable, use them for foot spa or something instead of throwing away.
Johnson : Good balance of price and flavor
Oolong is my favorite kind of tea and I'm always looking to try new brands. This Prince of Peace oolong isn't as good as Bigelow's oolong but it's significantly cheaper per cup. Weighing the price and the flavor, I find myself satisfied.
Since I know some care about this, there's no staples on the bags.
Anonymous : Keep looking
There is a difference between "delicate" and "flavorless". I've had a few different oolongs and mainly drink sencha and black teas. This oolong is seriously almost flavorless, even with many tea bags. I also had the problem mentioned in other reviews of the teabags being torn. Seems like a case of cheap crap held up by thousands of old and/or fake reviews.

lotusbloom : Wonderful taste for the value!
Delicious green tea, in a bag, which is great for work or travel. No more cheap tasting tea when I travel. While afficianados may not consider it quality, I do. It is much better than what my Walmart has on the shelves, I live in a small town. The value is incredible. I can't say enough good things about this. I feel the taste had an earthiness to it, I can't put my finger on it. I like it, it doesn't have that dry, bitter taste that others have had.
Brian : Good oolong tea :)
I was looking for cheap and good oolong tea :) I found it here. This is quite good, although I am not a tea aficionado. My favorite tea is oolong tea and I had tried it a few times in the past, however it is not so common that people serve it in restaurants or at their house. So I missed tasting this tea and just wanted to buy a cheap packet to see if I still loved it as much as I remembered. I did :) Get this tea.
TJ : Best Ooling Tea Bags I've Found
While this tastes more like black tea than looseleaf Oolong, it's the best I've found in a tea bag. And well I'm not going to brew loose leaf at work so this works. Great price as well!
Amazon Customer : No longer the product advertised.
This tea WAS my favorite Oolong tea, with a smooth, rich taste. My last re-order was "in a NEW package," but was no longer the same product. They no longer claim to be organic, and the tea has a totally different taste. I blame both Amazon, and the Prince of Peace Co. for leaving the same product info up on the website. It is not eligible for return, so I have 2 boxes of undrinkable tea. Greatly disappointed.
ILoveAmazon : Great flavor and great fit weightloss
I love this tea! It came highly recommended for the HCG/RM3 diet. I drink at least 2 cups a day and have had great weight loss. I love Prince of Peace. I have purchased the Organic Green Tea as well and combined it daily with the Oolong tea.
perelandra : Love this tea!
I love Oolong tea, but previously had only had high-end Oolong tea gifted to me by travelers returning from Taiwan. At the same time I've been buying Prince of Peace Organic White Tea for years and absolutely love it. This is the first time I've tried their Organic Oolong Tea, and for the convenience of having a tea bag and the economy I am very impressed and happy. I've already ordered another box and recommended it to friends and family. Hint: just like loose Oolong tea you can reuse the Prince of Peace tea bags, and it's organic! plus, plus!
cosmikat : I have been buying this regularly
I think this is my favorite tea. Although I have a nice collection of different teas, when I don't really know what I want next, I choose this oolong. It is always satisfying to me. I have not tried any other brand, because this Prince of Peace is always of good quality at a very good price. I have no motivation to look at any other packer of this tea.
Alexander Bates : Great packaging, wonderful service, horrible product.
I still remember the box of authentic Chinese Oolong tea that my parents brought back from China. That was the first tea I ever had, and to this day Oolong is still my #1 favorite variety of tea. I had high hopes for the Prince of Peace tea I bought off Amazon, especially given the number of extremely positive ratings, but after the first few cups I was getting a very strong cardboard-y taste from my tea. The result tasted more like the bag than anything else.
Because I'm such a fan of Oolong (and because I was willing to give the product a final chance), I ripped a couple bags open and used a loose leaf bag (which I knew not to give off a papery taste). No dice. It is the actual *tea* giving off the taste, and not the bags it's coming in.
As a long time Oolong fan, I'm disappointed and would not recommend this product to anyone.

Kathy A. Holbrook : Did not like this tea
Did not like the taste of this tea; in fact, it tasted more like coffee than any delicious oolong tea I have had in Chinese restaurants. So I will be throwing away the remaining 99 teabags.
Thecosplayer : Amazing flavor and scent
Delicious ???? having .my first cup the aroma, the scent the flavor my God its like I'm at a restaurant ???? I recommend this tea.
you can compare the product price from Costco, wayfair, bestbuy, lowes, target, homedepot, Walmart, ebay, amazon to find the best price for you
