how do you prevent the water from evaporating? After simmering for 15 mins, my one cup of water turned into 1/3 cup of water.

Answer: Why are you simmering your tea? I would boil the water then add the tea bag/s and put a lid on it and let stand for 15 minutes. This way you should still have close to a cup of tea after 15 minutes.

Answer: I pour the water in a pan with the teabag and put a lid on the pan. I let the water come to a boil and then turn the heat off and leave the pan sit there for 15-20 mins , still covered. Has very little evaporation that way, if any at all.

Answer: Jocelyne, I would just add additional water or boil more water to allow for the evaporation. This is a beautiful tea! Enjoy!

Is the cat's claw tea using shredded bark in the tea bags? I am puzzled that some people are calling them "tiny leaves". Green bark shavings, perhaps?

Answer: The ingredients are wildcrafted cat's claw inner bark. Cat's claw is a vine. I assume they use the inner bark of the vine or maybe the root. It is cut into small bits and put inside the tea bag. I did not open the tea bag, but it felt like there was very fine material inside it.

Is this tea ground up into a powder form in the tea bag or does the tea bag contain full, not ground up leaves?

Answer: Not a power tiny leaves. I was not impressed with this tea it was very weak compared to other brands.

Answer: It’s chunky Small leaf pieces. It’s not powder.

My children brought me back Una de gato, or cats claw bark when they went to Peru a couple of years ago. Having Rheumatoid Arthritis, I am always looking for natural remedies to help with pain. I loved making tea out of the bark and it helped me tremendously. I was sad when I had run out of the bark and I tried supplement capsules thinking they would have the same benefits, but they did nothing for me. I read the reviews on this tea and decided to give it a try. And all I can say is that I love it! It helps reduce the inflammation of R.A. and their suggestion of steeping it for a half an hour before drinking gives you the benefit of more relief in my opinion. Will be ordering again!

I bought this for a friend who had some inflammation and she said that she had a time getting it back from her father; they ended up splitting it. He was delighted she had cat’s claw, because he said he really loved it and had never seen it in the store.
